Odessa's POV

The afternoon sun filtered through the heavy velvet curtains of my private chamber, casting long shadows across the polished marble floor. I sat at my ornate desk, the kind that screamed power—gold-trimmed edges and a surface so smooth it reflected my flawless face back at me. My nails, painted a deep crimson, tapped rhythmically against the wood as I stared at the small piece of parchment in front of me. It was time for the next move. That little omega Bambi had found the first letter, we'd made sure of that through Celeste. Now, to reel her in further, like a fish on a hook, squirming but too hopeful to notice the danger.

I picked up the quill, dipping it into the inkwell with deliberate slowness. The ink was black as night, perfect for secrets. I wrote carefully, mimicking a hurried, desperate hand, not mine, of course. Anonymous. Untraceable.
