Lily and Lucas frantically searched the house, calling out Emily's name. But there was only silence. They checked every room, every closet, and every corner, but Emily was nowhere to be found. Lily's heart was racing with fear. Where could Emily have gone?
As they searched, the hum grew louder, and the room shook harder. Lucas grabbed Lily's hand, pulling her close. "We have to get out of here," he said, his voice firm. "Now." But Lily hesitated, refusing to leave without Emily. She knew they had to find her friend.
Lily's eyes scanned the room, searching for any sign of Emily. She called out her name again, but the only response was the creaking of the old house. Lucas pulled her gently, trying to lead her away. "We can't stay here," he said. "It's not safe."
But Lily spotted a piece of paper on the floor. She rushed over to pick it up, hoping it might be a clue. As she read the words, her eyes widened in shock. "What is it?" Lucas asked, noticing her expression. Lily's voice was barely above a whisper. "It says 'they're coming for us'."
