New York, Bleecker Street, Manhattan.
The once bustling street was now in chaos, screams rising and falling. The crowd scattered like startled beasts, cars crashed into each other, and alarms blared through the sky.
"Bang—!"
A scorching beam of energy swept across, instantly shattering the display windows of an entire row of shops, glass shards raining down.
"Jarvis! Does this thing have a weakness or not?!" Tony Stark's voice echoed inside the Mark-3 armor, carrying a rare hint of anxiety.
He rolled sideways, narrowly dodging the Destroyer armor's second energy blast. The armor's thrusters operated at full power, arcing a golden-red line through the air.
"Sir, the target armor material cannot be identified, and the energy readings are outside the database range." Jarvis's voice remained steady, but his speaking speed noticeably quickened. "Suggest prioritizing evasion. Attempting to analyze weaknesses."
"Evade? You want me to run away on my own turf? Chen Tian will mock me for a lifetime!" Tony sharply turned, dodging the Destroyer's sweeping giant arm. He could feel the wind from the arm cutting through the air, even through his armor.
He gritted his teeth and fired three Impact blasts at the empty faceplate. "Damn it! What in the World is this thing made of?!"
The Destroyer armor's movements suddenly paused, and the darkness beneath its faceplate suddenly glowed with a dazzling orange light. Tony's pupils contracted—he was all too familiar with this omen.
"Jarvis! Full power thrust—"
"Boom!!!"
A blinding white beam grazed the bottom of the armor, and a house behind it slowly tilted like melting butter. Tony tumbled awkwardly amidst the shattered glass, hearing Jarvis's rare alarm: "Warning! Armor integrity reduced to 67%!"
"Damn it!" Tony cursed. "Jarvis, have you reached Chen Tian?"
"Communication is still being interfered with; unable to establish a stable connection."
"Damn it! If my Mark-3 EclipseEdition was ready! I could tear it apart with my bare hands!" Tony cursed angrily. "I can't let it continue! It will clear out New York City!"
"Jarvis! Is there any way to lure it away?"
Jarvis's voice echoed in Tony's ear: "Sir, based on energy trajectory analysis, this armor's target is very clear—177A Bleecker Street."
"177A?" Tony was stunned. "Isn't that the house Chen Tian told me to go to?"
"Yes, Sir." Jarvis quickly pulled up the data. "The target's path is completely locked on that location. The destruction along the way seems to be only collateral damage caused by your appearance."
Tony's brow furrowed, and the armor's thrusters slightly adjusted direction, keeping him suspended in mid-air to observe the Destroyer's actions. Sure enough, the massive armor was advancing in a straight line towards 177A Bleecker Street, mercilessly destroying any obstacles in its path.
"Jarvis, what exactly is in that house?" Tony asked in a low voice.
"The database does not show, but." Jarvis replied, "According to the information Mr. Chen Tian had 2B provide, he previously asked me to inform you that Thor might be imprisoned there, it's just that all your Plan A's are Attack A's."
"Thor? The Thor from Norse mythology?" Tony clicked his tongue. "So this thing is here to rescue him?"
"Or… to kill him." Jarvis added.
Tony was silent for a second, then suddenly accelerated, his armor cutting through the air, directly blocking the Destroyer.
"Hey! Big guy!" Tony raised his palm cannon, aiming at the Destroyer's faceplate. "Whether you're here to save someone or kill someone, New York is not your playground!"
The Destroyer armor's movements paused slightly, and the orange light beneath its faceplate flickered, seemingly assessing the obstacle in front of it.
Tony grinned: "Jarvis, prepare Plan B."
"Sir, you do not have a Plan B."
"Now I do!" Tony suddenly raised his hand, the armor's shoulder plates sprang open, and dozens of miniature missiles whistled out, all blasting towards the Destroyer's joints!
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
The explosion's flames instantly engulfed the Destroyer, but Tony didn't relax at all, because he knew—this level of attack could not possibly destroy it.
Sure enough, the next second, the Destroyer strode out of the flames, its armor unharmed, and the light beneath its faceplate growing even more intense.
"Jarvis! Find its energy core!" Tony shouted.
"Attempting… Detecting abnormal energy fluctuations!" Jarvis's voice suddenly became urgent. "Sir, its energy readings are rapidly increasing!"
Tony's pupils contracted—the Destroyer's chest armor slowly opened, revealing a rotating orange-red energy core inside, and terrifying energy was gathering!
"Damn it!" Tony immediately retreated at full speed, but the Destroyer's target seemed to have already locked onto him.
Just at this critical moment—
"Buzz—!"
A golden spark bloomed in front of Tony, rapidly expanding into a portal.
The energy Impact wave sprayed by the Destroyer shot into the portal, and Tony's eyes widened, watching this energy, enough to destroy an entire street, disappear without a trace after entering the portal.
"Jarvis, where's that energy cannon?"
Jarvis's voice carried a rare hint of confusion: "Sir, based on energy trajectory analysis… that energy beam just broke through Earth's atmosphere."
"What?!" Tony's voice rose eight octaves. "You mean that thing shot out of Earth with one blast?!"
"Yes, Sir." Jarvis paused. "And… it seems to have hit a satellite in low Earth orbit, which appears to be your satellite."
Tony opened his mouth, momentarily speechless.
Just as Tony was somewhat dazed, a deep voice suddenly came from beside him: "It seems we arrived just in time."
Tony sharply turned his head, seeing a Black man in a dark robe standing beside him, he did not know when.
Even more striking was the Asian fat man beside him, whose wrist glowed with golden runes, and one hand was still constantly drawing circles, golden sparks rotating in the air with his movements.
"Damn it!" Tony subconsciously raised his palm cannon. "Where did you two come from?"
The Black man smiled slightly and performed a strange bow: "I am Mordo, a Sorcerer from Kamar-Taj." He pointed to the fat man beside him, "This is Wong."
"Kamar… what?" Tony frowned. "Jarvis, check this organization."
"Sir, there are no related records in the database." Jarvis immediately responded.
The golden halo in Sorcerer Wong's hand spun larger and larger, and he said without raising his head: "Don't bother, our existence is a secret to ordinary people."
Mordo stepped forward, his gaze fixed on the Destroyer armor in the distance: "Mr. Stark, this magic construct is not something you can handle."
Tony's armor mask popped open, revealing his incredulous expression: "Wait, you said this is… magic?"
"To be precise, it's a magic-tech hybrid from Asgard." Wong finally stopped his hand movements; the golden halo had expanded to a size large enough for a person to pass through. "Now, if you don't mind letting the professionals handle it…"
Tony was about to retort when the Destroyer armor suddenly let out a deafening roar, and its chest energy core lit up again.
"Careful!" Tony shouted.
Mordo raised both hands, and an orange magic shield instantly unfolded.
"Boom—!!!"
The Destroyer's energy cannon slammed into Mordo's magic shield; the orange runic barrier lasted less than half a second before exploding like glass! The violent energy Impact directly slammed into Mordo's chest, blasting him flying!
"Mordo!" Wong's face changed dramatically, and he hurriedly raised his hand, wanting to cast a portal for rescue, but the Destroyer had already locked onto him again, and the orange light beneath its faceplate flickered wildly!
"Damn it!" Tony furiously propelled his armor, directly colliding with the Destroyer. "Jarvis! Full power thrust! Interfere with it!"
The thrusters on the armor's back erupted in dazzling blue flames, and Tony, like a cannonball, slammed hard into the Destroyer's side waist! The Destroyer staggered, its energy cannon veered off course, grazing Sorcerer Wong's head and blasting towards the sky!
"Bang!"
Tony's armor alarm flashed wildly: "Warning! Armor integrity reduced to 42%!"
"Shut up! I know!" Tony gritted his teeth, clinging desperately to the Destroyer's arm, trying to restrict its movements. "Wong! Save him quickly!"
Wong immediately rushed towards the blasted Mordo, only to see the Sorcerer, who had just looked so profound, now awkwardly embedded in a scrapped car, his chest charred, and blood spilling from the corner of his mouth.
"Cough, cough…" Mordo struggled to open his eyes. "This… this thing is… stronger… than I imagined…"
Wong's mouth twitched: "Didn't you just say 'let the professionals handle it'?"
Mordo: "….."
Tony's voice came from a distance: "Hey! You two 'professionals'! Can you stop chatting?! I'm about to give out!"
The Destroyer violently flung its arm, and Tony's armor was directly sent flying, crashing heavily into a street-side cafe! Glass shards and wood splinters flew everywhere. Tony lay in the wreckage, the armor's alarm blaring: "Warning! Armor integrity reduced to 31%!"
"Sir, immediate retreat is advised." Jarvis's voice carried a rare sense of urgency.
"Retreat?" Tony gritted his teeth, struggling to stand up. "New York is almost torn apart, where am I supposed to retreat to?!"
Just then, a Shadow suddenly landed on a fire hydrant beside him.
"Listen, Mr. Stark!" Sorcerer Mordo's black robe flapped in the hot wind. He stared intently at the approaching Destroyer. "Wong and I will lure this thing into the Mirror Dimension; you go save that Nordic God!"
"What?" Tony hadn't reacted yet when he saw Sorcerer Wong's fat figure stumble out of another portal.
"Are you crazy, Mordo?" Wong's face was crumpled, but the Sling Ring on his hand was already glowing golden. "The two of us against this thing? I'm just a librarian!"
"Less talk!" Mordo grabbed Wong's arm. "If we delay any longer, the Sanctum will be torn down!"
The Destroyer had already raised its arm, and the energy core in its chest began to spin violently, the dazzling orange light staining the entire street blood-red.
"Now!" Mordo roared.
Wong had a mournful expression, but his hands precisely drew complex trajectories. Golden sparks bloomed at the Destroyer's feet, and space shattered layer by layer like glass. Tony saw the Destroyer's movements suddenly become sluggish, as if it had been stuffed into thick glue.
"Go quickly!" Mordo turned and yelled at Tony, veins bulging on his temples. "Underground Room Three, Mirror Layer! We can't hold on for too long!"
Tony was about to activate his thrusters when he suddenly noticed blood starting to flow from Wong's nostrils. The fat Sorcerer's round face was flushed crimson, and the golden light emitted by his Sling Ring flickered on and off.
"Damn it!" Mordo cursed, freeing his left hand. Two golden chains shot from his palm, wrapping around the Destroyer's legs. "This thing is resisting spatial transfer!"
The Destroyer's faceplate suddenly twisted 180 degrees, "looking" directly at the two Sorcerers. Its chest cavity emitted a grating metallic deformation sound, and the energy core actually began to spin in reverse!
"Not good!" Wong suddenly shrieked. "It's analyzing the spatial coordinates!"
The space of the entire street began to twist, and the cars on the roadside were stretched like play-doh.
Tony's armor alarm blared frantically: "Warning! Local space curvature anomaly!"
"No time!" Mordo bit his tongue, a mouthful of blood mist sprayed onto the Sling Ring.
The moment the golden light flared, he yelled at Tony with all his might: "Remember! After finding Thor, make him immediately summon mjolnir! Only Thor's lightning can..."
Before he finished speaking, the space where the three of them were suddenly shattered like a mirror.
Tony's vision blurred, and he found himself floating in a maze composed of countless rhombic fragments.
Not far away, Destroyer was frantically bombarding the space barrier, each punch making the entire Mirror World tremble violently.
"Sir, the life signs of the two Sorcerers are rapidly declining," Jarvis's voice carried a rare urgency, "Suggest immediate action."
Tony took one last look at the two Sorcerers struggling to hold on amidst the spatial fragments, his thrusters spewing out a brilliant blue afterglow as he sped towards the Underground Room of the Sanctum.
Behind him, Destroyer's furious roar faintly echoed through the dimensional barrier, accompanied by the sound of space collapsing like shattering glass.
Tony's gold and red armor sliced through the air, diving into the New York Sanctum's main entrance.
The ancient oak door automatically closed behind him, isolating the chaos and explosions outside.
"Whew—" Tony let out a long breath, his armor's faceplate retracted, and he looked around, "Well, at least this place hasn't been blown to ruins yet."
The interior of the Sanctum was surprisingly quiet, as if it were a different World from the outside.
Sunlight streamed through the stained-glass windows, casting mottled light and shadow on the ancient wooden floor.
The air was filled with a faint scent of herbs and parchment, and the walls were covered with strange runes and magical artifacts that Tony couldn't understand at all.
"Jarvis, scan the building structure," Tony said in a low voice.
"Scanning..." Jarvis's voice sounded inside the armor, "Sir, an abnormal spatial fluctuation has been detected underground, but the exact location cannot be determined."
Tony frowned: "What do you mean 'cannot be determined'? Can't you penetrate thirty feet of concrete?"
"The spatial structure here seems to..." Jarvis paused, uncharacteristically, "not conform to physical laws."
"Damn it," Tony rubbed his temples, "What did those two Sorcerers say? 'Mirror Dimension'?"
Tony sighed heavily, "I'm a scientist, not a Sorcerer, so how do I get into that damned Mirror Dimension? Blast a big hole in the ground?"
"I don't recommend that," a gentle female voice suddenly came from behind him.
Tony spun around, his armor's weapon system instantly locking onto the sound source—an Asian woman in a dark blue robe stood at the stairwell, her hands clasped in front of her, a faint smile on her face.
"Holy Shit! Do you Sorcerers all like to appear out of nowhere like that?" Tony's repulsor rays were still glowing, "Who are you?"
"I am one of the Guardians of the New York Sanctum, Master Wong's assistant," the woman bowed slightly, "You may call me Lin; the Sorcerer Supreme asked me to wait for you here."
Tony did not relax his guard: "Sorcerer Supreme? Sounds cool, but how are you going to get me into the 'Mirror Dimension'?"
Lin quickly walked to a small door, took a golden ring from her sleeve, and gently pressed it into a groove on the door: "Use this, but you must be quick, once Destroyer breaks through the Mirror Dimension, the entire Sanctum will—"
Her words stopped abruptly.
The entire building suddenly shook violently, chandeliers swung wildly, and picture frames on the walls fell one after another.
A loud crash of shattering glass came from afar.
"It broke through," Lin's face turned pale, "Much faster than expected."
Tony heard Destroyer's heavy footsteps approaching from outside, getting closer and closer.
"No time!" Lin bit her finger sharply, dripping blood onto the golden ring.
The runes on the door instantly lit up with a blinding red light, "Listen, Mr. Stark, entering the Mirror Dimension requires specific incantations and a Sling Ring, but you don't have time to learn now."
"So?"
"So you have to use a more direct method," Lin took a deep breath, "Jump in."
"Jump where—"
Tony's words were cut short as Lin pushed open the small door.
Behind the door was not the expected room or hallway, but a twisted space, flowing like mercury, emitting an eerie blue light.
"You're kidding me, right?" Tony took a step back.
"Boom!!!"
The Sanctum's main door suddenly exploded, sending wood splinters flying.
Destroyer's tall figure appeared in the doorway, the orange light beneath its faceplate like the gaze of the God of Death.
Tony felt a strange suction from behind, as if countless hands were pulling at his armor.
The last image he saw as he fell into that distorted space was Master Lin forming complex hand seals, golden runes coiling around Destroyer's armor like living things.
"Find Thor! Don't believe any illusions!" Lin's voice disappeared the moment the twisted space vanished.
"Sir! The dimensional barrier is collapsing!" Jarvis's alarm blared in his ear.
As the World spun, Tony felt his consciousness being torn into fragments.
All data on his armor's display turned into gibberish, and countless fragmented images flashed before his eyes: the glittering spires of the Golden Palace, a lightning-filled thunderstorm, a golden-haired giant wrapped in chains...
When Tony regained consciousness, he found himself standing on a quiet suburban street.
Sunlight dappled through maple leaves onto the asphalt, and the laughter of children came from afar.
"Where is this...?" Tony looked down in confusion, finding himself dressed in a casual shirt and jeans, holding a box of freshly bought donuts.
"Dear?" A familiar voice came from behind him.
Tony spun around to see Pepper standing on the porch of a White Villa, her apron dusted with flour, "The new neighbors are arriving soon, remember you promised to help move furniture?"
Tony opened his mouth but no sound came out.
A deep intuition screamed that something was wrong, yet the warm sunlight and Pepper's smiling eyes felt so real...
Meanwhile, in another layer of the Mirror Dimension, Thor Odinsson was sitting in front of a barbecue grill in his backyard.
He wore a plaid shirt and jeans, skillfully flipping steaks.
Jane poked her head out of the kitchen window: "Honey, can you grab the salad dressing?"
"Coming, my love," Thor replied with a smile, and as he reached for the condiment bottle, a chain-like tattoo faintly appeared on his wrist.
He frowned but couldn't recall the origin of the tattoo.
When Tony rang the doorbell of the new neighbors, it was Thor who opened the door.
As the two men's eyes met, they both felt a sudden, inexplicable dizziness.
"Haven't we..." Tony rubbed his temples, "met somewhere before?"
Thor's blue pupils widened slightly, and the lights in the yard suddenly flickered a few times.
He instinctively looked up at the clear sky, muttering, "Strange, I think I heard thunder..."
Just then, Tony noticed that the chain tattoo on Thor's wrist was seeping a faint golden light.
He suddenly grabbed Thor's wrist: "What is this?"
"I don't know!" Thor suddenly became agitated, and objects in the yard began to vibrate without cause, "It's been hot since this morning..."
Tony's pupils suddenly constricted.
"Sir?"
Jarvis's voice seemed to come from a distant void, blurry yet clear, as if penetrating a thick fog.
Tony suddenly looked up, glancing around—the Sun was still warm, Pepper stood smiling on the porch, and the chain tattoo on Thor's wrist shimmered with an eerie golden light.
Everything looked so real.
But Jarvis's voice was like a sharp knife, piercing deeply into his consciousness.
"Sir, your vital signs are abnormal, and neural activity indicates you are in a state of deep hallucinatory interference."
Tony's breathing quickened, he stared intently at Thor, whose expression gradually changed from confusion to a painful struggle.
"Sir, based on energy readings, you are currently in the deep illusion of the Mirror Dimension," Jarvis's voice was calm and firm, "Ms. Lin's warning was correct—do not believe the illusions."
"Don't... believe the illusions..."
Lin's words echoed in Tony's mind, his fingers unconsciously tightened, gripping Thor's wrist tightly.
Thor suddenly looked up, a flicker of electricity in his blue pupils.
"Neighbor..." His voice was deep and hoarse, as if from another World, "You feel it too, don't you?"
Tony's temples throbbed, and the surrounding scenery began to twist—the Sun became blinding, Pepper's figure was like a sand painting blown away by the wind, and the walls of the Villa flowed like melting wax.
"Thor!" Tony roared, "This isn't real!"
Thor's expression suddenly turned ferocious, he violently shook off Tony's hand, the lawn in the yard began to burn, the sky suddenly darkened, and thunderclouds rolled.
"Of course I know this isn't real!" Thor roared, his voice like thunder exploding, "But I've been trapped here too long!"
On his wrist, the chain tattoo suddenly burst, and golden runes coiled around his arm like living things.
Thor roared skyward, a bolt of lightning struck, hitting his body directly!
"Boom—!!!"
Tony was thrown to the ground by the Impact, and the entire World collapsed like a shattered mirror.
When he opened his eyes again, he found himself kneeling on the floor of an ice crystal palace, his armor covered in frost.
Before him, Thor Odinsson was suspended in mid-air by seven glowing, rune-covered chains, his golden hair disheveled, his eyes tightly closed.
"Sir, Mirror Dimension confirmed," Jarvis's voice finally regained clarity, "Target locked—Thor Odinsson."
Tony struggled to his feet, his armor emitting a strained metallic screech.
"Hey! Point Break! Hey! Thor!" he yelled, "Wake up!"
Thor's body suddenly jolted, his eyelids trembled, and he slowly opened them—in his deep blue pupils, electric light surged like a storm.
"...Neighbor?" His voice was hoarse and weak, yet carried a suppressed rage, "How are you here?"
Tony grinned, even though his armor was severely damaged.
"To save you, big guy," He raised his repulsor ray, aiming at the chains binding Thor, "And then, we have to go save two crazy Sorcerers."
Thor's lips slowly curved into a ferocious smile.
"Good."
The next second, Tony pulled the trigger, and the energy cannon fired with a roar!
