Chapter 3 - First Day at Delmare.

It had been several years now, and where had they gone so quickly all those years ago? It was hard to believe how he had grown up into one young man. He was still in that warm and loving house because it was his house now just as it had been the very first day when he left the orphanage. He finally stood up from his chair organizing his school bag and getting ready for his new High School. His mom was busy in the kitchen, her voice cheerful and bright. "Breakfast is ready my dear. Don't forget your books okay? Don't leave them behind by accident, will you, I'm sure you'll get in trouble otherwise." Sylvian smiled. "Don't worry Mom, I packed everything I need." The breakfast smelled great downstairs. Then his dad appeared looking sharp for work and clean-shaven. His dad gave a warm smile upon seeing him. "Are you ready for your first day of Delmare Academy?" Sylvian hesitated, "Yeah... but... I'm kind of nervous. I don't think I really fit in anywhere with my... awkward and introverted self." His mom giggled softly and rubbed his head affectionately. "Shush, there is nobody complaining about my dear son. I like him exactly the way he is. You must not force everybody to like you."

The sun sparkled through the rain drops still on the trees from the rain of the previous night, after breakfast. His dad drove him to school, while his mom was off to work.

When they got to Delmare Academy, Sylvian felt his jaw drop. The campus looked right out of a book, buzzing with students in their tidy uniforms which almost looked like stereotypes, and they were laughing and running, and playing in all of the gardens and courtyards. The building was quite the marvel of history and beauty.

Fortunately, Sylvian, received a scholarship. He hopped out of the car, thanked his dad, and said goodbye. He took a big breath and walked through the gates, which opened into dozens of eyes watching him with curiosity. The students was quick to return to whatever they were doing, with the only occasional rediscovered glances toward him.

He did some walking through the hallways trying to find the principal's office to turn his paperwork into, and ask what classroom he belonged to. He walked on two floors of hallways and finally found the office, knocking gently. A warm voice said to come in, and he greeted the principal amicably.

When their quick meeting ended, he went toward his new class--FB6, which was spue note affectionate.

This day had been quite unremarkable, Sylvian introduced himself, quietly observed his classmates, and worked alone in class. During lunch, he found a brightly-lit area to sit under a tree on a large school yard. He was alone and he was content that nobody had yet gone out of their way to talk directly to him. Once he finished his lunch, Sylvian checked his mobile. His mother had sent him a text. It said that both his parents would be away on a business trip, and on their behalf they had engaged a nanny to assist him while they were away. Three days hence, his aunt would come to help him dispense with all the excess stress. Sylvian experienced a fleeting trace of disbelief, yet replied politely as he left the gates of the school. Waiting on the driveway was a red car, he thought, the nanny, greeted him formally, he was the Young Master. Sylvian blinked and replied politely, then he went up to his bedroom to unpack and orientate himself. Later that evening, he came down for dinner and he asked the nanny to join him. She smiled happily, at this polite invitation, and they began talking about Sylvian's first day in the school.

As Sylvian wrapped up his homework, he felt the fatigue catching up with him after a long day. He wished his parents in the call goodnight and his nanny as well before he locked up and crawled into bed. As the pale light from his room slumped around him, Sylvian shut his eyes. Finally..., he thought, a sigh laden with fatigue escaping his lips. A new day, a new school, a new beginning..
