Sylas raised a brow at Willow, and just as his lips parted to speak, she straightened and turned to leave.
"Wait. Hold on."
His voice stopped her in her tracks. She froze, then stiffly turned back, her bright hazel eyes pointing toward him like he couldn't possibly be addressing her. "Me?"
Sylas nodded and closed the distance between them. "I was actually about to send for you. Then I saw you from afar…" He paused, his gaze scanning her face. She didn't seem injured... "Does that happen often?"
"The bullying?" Willow blinked, startled that he was even asking.
"Yes." He nodded.
A breathy laugh escaped her lips. "Well… I'm a Dreg, after all."
Sylas exhaled heavily and turned away. "Come with me."
Her heart thudded in her chest as she nervously followed him all the way to his office. She tried not to overthink when he finally sat down, fixing her with those hypnotizing eyes. Then he pulled out a tablet, sliding it toward her and pointed at the screen.
