Willow dashed across the grounds, following the mental map she had memorized, and sprinted straight toward the control hall which was the heart of the academy's systems.
Security here was meant to be airtight, but after forcing her way past Navian's murderous door, this felt almost laughable.
Hours ago, she had already disabled the campus cameras, erasing every trace of herself from the system. To the academy's eyes, she didn't even exist.
Now, the doors greeted her like staff. With a hiss, they slid open the instant she stepped into range.
She walked into the building, grinning. The air was colder here and clean. The space is alive with the low hum of machines.
"I made it," she whispered, breathless with exhilaration, before rushing toward one of the large printing systems.
She slapped the activation panel, and the keyboard slid out with a soft hum.
