ARIA
Atlas cursed as I stormed to the door and out of the room. I stepped out of the building, into the cold. I didn't know where I was going, but I knew I needed to get away from him, away from the room.
I arrived at the garden a few minutes later, sat on the cold stone bench with my arms wrapped around me.
How dare he try to shame me? The goddess does know how to give me jerks as a mate, and I despised her!
I should have rejected him. The first time he told me we were mated. I should have done so. That'd save me from the longings, the fears…I dragged in cold air, letting out. I groaned as the frigid air bit into my exposed skin and I brought my palms to my mouth, blowing hot air into them. That didn't help. I should go back in. I could get frostbite, but the idea of meeting with Atlas and having to speak to him infuriated me. I shook my head, glaring at the French door before looking away.
"You could get sick," Elias said.
