Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: New beginning?

Iaa slowly opened the creaky door, stepping cautiously into the dimly lit room. As she entered, her gaze swept across the space, taking in the dusty corners and the faded wallpaper peeling away from the walls. It was then that her eyes fell upon a chilling sight that sent a shiver down her spine: the skeletal remains of a child lay motionless on the floor, a haunting reminder of a life once lived. The gruesome view horrified her, leaving her momentarily frozen in place as her heart raced with a mix of fear and sorrow. "Poor kid," Iaa whispered softly, her voice barely audible as she struggled to comprehend the tragedy that had unfolded in this forsaken room.

"Hold on a moment. We need to figure out how we are going to approach this situation. The spirit is currently absent from this place, but it is expected to arrive after the sun sets and darkness envelops the surroundings," Shiva explained thoughtfully.

"Indeed, you raise a valid point," Iaa acknowledged, her brow furrowing in contemplation.

Aravali sighed heavily, her voice tinged with reluctance. "So, you're saying I have to face an actual ghost? No way am I doing that! I'm just going to leave this dish here for the ghost kid," she declared, her resolve wavering as she glanced back at the haunting remains.

Iaa, adopting a commanding tone, replied, "You are not going anywhere, Aravali."

"WHY on earth not!?" Aravali exclaimed dramatically, her hands thrown up in exasperation.

"Is it so you can get used to the idea of encountering a ghost?" Iaa shot back, her eyes narrowing slightly.

Aravali's expression shifted to one of shock. "Wait, you mean we're actually going to do more of this? Like, this isn't just a one-time thing?"

Iaa nodded firmly, her expression serious. "Look, we're scared too, you know. Right, guys?" she turned to Shiva and Sita for support.

Shiva, nodded in agreement, her eyes wide with a mix of fear and excitement. Sita followed suit, her expression mirroring the tension in the room. "See? We're all in this together," Iaa continued, trying to bolster their courage.

Aravali crossed her arms, her resolve softening but still wary. "Fine, but if anything happens, I am out of this place faster than you can say 'ghost'!" she warned, her heart racing at the thought of what lay ahead.

"Ok good" Iaa said with a bit of relief, "By the way how much time till dusk?"

"2 minutes" Aravali said

"Ok guys are you ready" Iaa asked everyone. Everyone nodded

2 minutes left...

1 minute left...

30 seconds...

10 seconds...

AND, It's time

"HUH? Nothing happened?" Iaa said confusingly. Then a kid's voice came from back. Laughing and chuckling.

"Hey girls!" The kid said
