Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Be Ready

"W-wait, what are you doing there, Iaa? You should be in Jaipur right now!" he exclaimed, his voice a tumult of anger and disbelief, the weight of his words hanging heavy in the air.

"I lied to you, sorry. We all did, Dad," Iaa replied, her tone laced with defiance, the fire in her eyes contrasting with the apprehension of her father's expectations.

"You're with Aravali, Shiva, and Sita. That means Kuwarjeet told you everything," he spat, frustration palpable as he paced across the room, a prison of his own thoughts. The truth hung between them like an unyielding wall.

"Why did you hide our power from us?" Iaa pressed, her voice steady yet charged with the thrill of rebellion. "I understand it was meant to keep us safe, but honestly, it feels like we've been missing out on something incredible."

"Fun? You've unlocked your power!" he said, his voice rising in shock as the realization hit him like a thunderbolt. A cascade of thoughts whirled in his head—what danger lay ahead for his family, and what consequences would they all face?

"Yes, and I know everything about your group and Mom too," Iaa continued, her voice calm and resolute, as if she had pieced together a puzzle long buried under layers of secrecy. Her eyes shimmered, reflecting a newfound clarity that was both exciting and terrifying.

He inhaled deeply, trying to penetrate the whirlwind of emotions within him. "You know what? I'll be there next week with Shiva's and Sita's parents," he declared, the shift in his tone from rage to determination marking a profound decision. He hung up the phone abruptly, leaving Iaa to wrestle with the gravity of their conversation.

Turning toward the group, Iaa's expression shifted to one of seriousness. "We must kill that demon within a week," she asserted, her voice slicing through the charged atmosphere like a knife.

"What happened? Tell us!" Aravali urged, her curiosity bubbling to the surface as they waited for Iaa to explain.

"Our dad and Shiva's and Sita's parents are coming here next week," Iaa replied urgently, her eyes wide with the weight of their predicament.

"WHAT?!" each voice cried in unison, shock etched across their faces. The gravity of the situation sank in, their expressions reflecting the fear of impending consequences.

"Yes, we need to deal with the demon quickly to prove our parents wrong. If we don't, they might think we can't handle this, and I have no idea what they would do to us," Iaa said, a tremor of fear shivering through her conviction.

"I'm in," Shiva declared, his expression stoic yet fierce determination glimmered in his eyes, ready to fight back against the looming threat.

"Me too," Sita chimed in, her confidence bolstered by the gravity of their mission, her unwavering spirit igniting hope amongst them.

All eyes turned to Aravali, who hesitated, uncertainty flickering in her gaze like candlelight in the wind. "What?! FINE, I'm in," she finally conceded, her voice firm despite the doubts wrestling within her.

"I'm in too!" Hari said with an infectious smile, his eagerness lifting the group's spirits even as the tension in the room lingered like a storm cloud.

"Yeah, you're part of our team now, Hari," Iaa affirmed, relief washing over her as he stepped forward, ready to contribute to their cause.

"Let's get started right away!" Hari exclaimed enthusiastically, determination flashing in his eyes. "Shiva, I'll take you to the training room, where we can hone your combat skills. Sita, you're with Kuwarjeet. He'll help you practice your dance and singing—those skills could be vital in our fight against the demon."

Iaa then handed over a worn notebook filled with sketches and notes. "Here's a list of names of the ghosts we're dealing with along with their belongings," she explained. "Use your powers to identify them by their belongings. We need all the information we can gather to give us an advantage."

"And Aravali, your tech skills are crucial," Iaa continued, her gaze steady and serious. "Please create gadgets that will assist us in capturing the entity. Every piece of technology you design could mean the difference between victory and defeat."

As the group divided tasks and began mapping out their plans, an electric air of determination enveloped them. Time was not on their side, but together, they were ready to rise against the darkness lurking ahead, united by their newfound power and unwavering resolve.o confront the darkness lurking ahead.
