Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: Iori and Krytheos, Plus Plush insanity.

While Dai'chi thinks he's finally free from all the plushie-related shenanigans from before Krytheos joined. He walks into the base and sees a plush form of every member of the crusaders and 3 more green paladin plushies. "No, No fu*Bleep*ing way, WHY IS THERE MORE DAMN PLUSHIES, OH MY GOD," Dai'chi says. He sees one of himself and picks it up, seeing if there's anything unusual about it. He yells for Jesse, "Jesse, why are there more damn plushies in this damn place. ACTUALLY NO, KRYTHEOS, WHY THE HELL ARE YOU MAKING MORE PLUSHIES?" Jesse comes over

"What are you talking about? I know nothing, which should be obvious," Jesse says, then looks and sees the plushies. "Where did these come from? I didn't commission them from Krytheos.", questions Jesse as he picks up one of them. "Strange indeed. Yeah, idk, maybe we can ask Krytheos about this," Jesse says

Dai'chi insanely fu*Bleep*ing mad "KRYTHEOS," Dai'chi yells. Krytheos comes down confused. "What are these plushies, Krytheos?" Dai'chi says, annoyed. Krytheos looks at the plushies, not understanding what he's talking about; he picks one up and inspects it.

"This isn't one of mine," Krytheos replies, looking at it more. "Yeah, there are a few giveaways that this is fake and not actually one of my plushies. The stitching is off a little, and I've never made any plushies of anyone other than myself. It's like they were placed here by some being above us that we can't see who controls everything about this world, but that's just a hunch," Krytheos says. Dai-chi is visibly confused, wondering what the heck Krytheos is talking about, which is very reasonable. Dai'chi and Jesse teleport away.

A bit later goes around the base. He spots Iori sitting in her room, sorting through boxes labeled as scraps. He walks over to the basement door and goes down it. When he gets to the bottom, he notices a lab that is sealed shut. "Hey, Iori," yells Krytheos to Iori

Iori looks out of her room towards the basement, "What do you want? I'm busy going through my stuff," She says. She walks out of her room and heads over to the basement door. She looks down the stairs.

Krytheos responds. He walks a bit back up the stairs. "I was exploring in the basement since no one ever told me what was down here, and I was never told I couldn't. While I was, I found this lab down here, and as far as I know, this doesn't belong to any of the Crusaders. I was wondering what it was for," He says, actually being polite for once.

Iori turns around and heads back towards her room. "Don't worry about it, it wasn't used for anything good anyway. It burnt down thousands of years ago, so there is no point in messing with it," She says. Krytheos runs all the way back up the stairs.

"Are you sure it was nothing to worry about. The entire lab is completely sealed, and it is impossible to get in, or out. Something like that usually isn't anything to worry about. It is always bad foreshadowing that something will happen," Krytheos says.

Iori stops, and she sighs. "It was a cloning lab, but one of the EXP…clones, burnt it down. There isn't anything left in there anymore that could do anything. The only reason that it hasn't been erased is because none of the current Crusaders that were alive back then brought up the effort to get rid of it," She says.

Krytheos tilts his head in confusion, not understanding what she meant by EXP. "You made a cloning EXP farm? That's a good idea, I should build one of those so I can get stronger. It would make grinding so much easier," Krytheos says.

Iori sighs, "It wasn't some experience farm, EXP stands for something in this case. I guess it was about time till someone else found up," She says. She rolls up her sleeve to reveal a completely mechanical arm. Krytheos finally realizes.

"So are you like a robot or cyborg? Is that what you didn't want the rest of the Crusaders to know?" Krytheos says.

"Not exactly, I was an experiment in the lab. I wasn't supposed to get out of containment, but I did. I was the first prototype in creating a being that could beat the strongest members of the Outer Lifeforms and possibly beat the High ones too. Whether they were successful, I have yet to find out," She says.

"Man, this verse is weird. The oldest thing I remember is being in my video game, per usual. Then, one day, everything just disappeared, and I ended up in this timeline or reality, whatever this is. I got used to it quickly and made an artifact shop, but nothing was familiar at all. Except for you, you remind me of the companion I had back in the game," Krytheos says.

"It was sort of like that for me. Except I don't have any memories of my past. I have is what I have gained, and this sword I've had with me forever. I haven't been using it because I was worried about what might happen if I were to break it. I also don't know where my two cats originate from either," Iori says.

"If we are from the same game, then you should have a memory chip that has all your Lore from the game in your head," He says. Iori is reluctant at first but eventually agrees. "It seems that we are from the same game. The problem is that the microchip is completely corrupted, so there is no way of knowing who you were in the game, sadly. It seems that the Nebulon Felines were attracted to you since you emanate a different energy than they are usually around," He says. He sees one of the cats and goes to pet them. This time, he is successful.

"Nebulon Felines? With a name like that, it makes sense why they are bigger than me. Maybe one day we'll know what happened, but for now I'm going back to cleaning my room," Iori says. She heads back into her room.
