Chapter 180 - CH 180 : The Terror Of The Destroyer

The atmosphere on the world of the Destroyer did not merely shift; it recoiled.

For eons, the Temple of Beerus had been a sanctuary of stagnant silence, a place where time held no dominion. But the moment Lord Beerus decided to stir, the very fabric of the cosmos seemed to pull taut, like a bowstring drawn to its breaking point. This wasn't the familiar, aggressive pressure of a warrior's Ki, nor the spiritual weight of a sorcerer's mana. It was the crushing, absolute authority of Existence itself acknowledging its master. The stars in the distance seemed to dim, unwilling to outshine the purple-hued deity who had finally decided to rejoin the living.

Whis, the Angelic attendant, stood by with a serene, knowing smile. With a rhythmic tap-tap of his divine staff against the obsidian floor, the dimensions folded like paper.

In a heartbeat, the scenery dissolved. The bedroom was gone. The smell of incense and old dreams vanished, replaced by the crisp, biting air of the temple's outer courtyard, where the guests of fate were waiting.

The Arrival of the Guests

Rudra felt the change before his eyes could register the movement.

It was as if the oxygen had suddenly turned into lead. A primal, evolutionary fear—the kind etched into the DNA of every living thing since the dawn of the First Spark—erupted within him. His lungs burned, not from a lack of air, but from the sheer impossibility of breathing in the presence of such overwhelming power. Every cell in Rudra's body screamed a single, unified command: Run. Hide. Vanish.

Standing beside him, Cell was a different story. The Bio-Android, a creature designed from the finest genetic material of the universe's greatest warriors, did not tremble. Instead, he grinned. His tail flicked with predatory excitement, and his purple-veined wings twitched. He felt the power, yes, but to Cell, power was simply a ladder he hadn't climbed yet.

The space before them warped in a kaleidoscope of light, and then, there he was.

Lord Beerus stood casually, his lean, purple frame draped in the traditional silks of a Destroyer. He looked utterly bored, his hands tucked behind his head as he stretched his neck. His golden eyes, sharp and predatory, scanned Rudra first—dismissing him as a curiosity—and then settled on Cell. It was the look a king might give to a particularly ugly cockroach that had wandered onto his velvet rug.

"So," Beerus said, his voice a low, melodic purr that carried the weight of a collapsing star. "You are the ones who interrupted my nap."

Rudra forced his knees to lock, refusing to collapse. He swallowed the bile in his throat and inclined his head. "Yes… Lord Beerus."

Cell stepped forward, his aura pulsing with a lime-green radiance that cracked the tiles beneath his feet. "So, you're the one," Cell said, his voice dripping with arrogant amusement. "The God of Destruction. To be honest, I expected something… bigger. More imposing. You look like a pet that's missed a few meals."

Whis let out a soft sigh, resting his cheek against his palm. "Oh dear. They never learn, do they?"

Beerus's eyes shifted. The laziness didn't vanish—it sharpened. The boredom was replaced by a cold, vacuum-like stillness.

"Hmm," Beerus hummed, the sound vibrating in Rudra's very marrow. "You talk quite a lot for a creature that hasn't yet realized it is already dead."

Cell laughed, a harsh, grating sound. "I've surpassed the gods of Earth. I've absorbed the strength of legends. Once I finish testing your 'divinity,' perhaps I'll take that fancy chair of yours. The universe deserves a ruler who stays awake."

For a fraction of a second, the universe went silent.

Then, Beerus flicked his finger.

There was no flash of light. No roar of energy. It was a movement so casual it looked like he was shooing a fly. Yet, the resulting shockwave hit Cell with the force of a tectonic plate.

The Bio-Android didn't even have time to raise a hand in defense. He was launched across the horizon, a streakj of green light that shattered mountains like glass and flattened entire forests in its wake. The sound of the impact followed seconds later—a thundering boom that shook the very foundation of the planet.

Rudra watched in stunned silence. Cell, the monster who had laughed at the combined might of the Z-Fingers, had been discarded like trash.
