Chapter 174 - CH 174 : The Weight of Mortal Sin

Time had lost meaning.

Vegito had stopped counting how many blows had been exchanged, how many times space had shattered and stitched itself back together. The battlefield was no longer a place. It was a wound in reality.

Punch after punch.

Kick after kick.

Explosions blooming like dying stars.

And yet.

Vegito knew it now.

Cell was playing.

Vegito wiped sweat from his brow as he clashed with Cell again, their fists colliding mid air. The shockwave tore through the planet's upper atmosphere and rippled into space.

Cell twisted his wrist and redirected the force, spinning away effortlessly.

"Hahaha," Cell laughed. "You're improving. Your reactions are sharper now."

Vegito narrowed his eyes. "So that's it. You're dragging this out on purpose."

Cell floated backward, hands behind his head, relaxed. "Of course. You wanted to entertain me, remember?"

Vegito's aura flared, golden light surging violently. He rushed forward again, unleashing a brutal combination of strikes aimed at Cell's vitals.

Cell did not dodge.

He let the blows land.

Fist to chest.

Elbow to jaw.

Knee to ribs.

Cell's body bent, cracked, regenerated.

He barely moved.

Vegito pulled back, breathing heavily.

"So even this isn't enough," Vegito muttered.

Below them, the Z Fighters watched in stunned silence.

Gohan clenched his fists. "Vegito is hitting him with everything he has…"

Piccolo's voice was grim. "And Cell is still holding back."

Vegeta's pride echoed faintly inside Vegito's consciousness, burning with rage.

"He's mocking us."

Rudra stood apart from them, his expression unreadable. Without Ki to rely on, he had opened his senses in a different way.

Telepathy.

The world around him dulled as his consciousness reached outward, piercing dimensions.

Sacred World of Kai.

Shin flinched as a voice echoed directly inside his mind.

"Supreme Kai," Rudra spoke calmly but firmly. "Cell has surpassed the threshold. He is no longer a planetary threat. He is a universal one."

Shin turned sharply toward the magical crystal, watching Vegito clash with Cell. His hands trembled.

"I can feel it," Shin replied. "His power is abnormal."

Rudra's voice hardened. "Then divine intervention is necessary. This battle will not end cleanly."

Before Shin could respond, another presence entered the mental space.

Cold. Ancient. Absolute.

Elder Supreme Kai.

"No," the Elder Kai said firmly.

Rudra felt the weight of that single word press down on his consciousness.

"This is not our matter," Elder Kai continued. "This is the problem of mortals."

Rudra's eyes narrowed. "If the universe collapses, it becomes everyone's problem."

Elder Kai scoffed. "Mortals create chaos. Mortals must resolve it. Interfering would violate the balance."

Shin hesitated. "But Elder Kai, Cell's actions are already destabilizing space time—"

"Enough," the Elder Kai snapped. "We will not act."

The connection severed.

Rudra exhaled slowly, clenching his fists.

"So this is your answer," he muttered. "Abandonment disguised as balance."

Above him, Vegito and Cell clashed again.

Vegito roared as he gathered energy into his fist, slamming it into Cell's face with everything he had left.

Cell barely moved.

He caught Vegito's wrist.

The air froze.

Cell leaned forward, his smile gone. "You figured it out, didn't you?"

Vegito struggled, muscles straining. "Yeah. You've been holding back since the start."

Cell nodded slowly. "Correct. I wanted to see how far fusion could go."

He tightened his grip.

Vegito felt pressure unlike anything before. Bones creaked. Space bent inward.

"And now," Cell continued, eyes glowing, "I know."

He flung Vegito downward.

Vegito crashed into the planet below, creating a crater so deep it exposed molten core layers. The shockwave circled the globe multiple times.

Rudra's heart sank.

"Vegito…!"

Cell descended slowly, hands glowing faintly with restrained power.

"This was entertaining," Cell said. "But playtime is ending."

Vegito pushed himself out of the crater, breathing heavily, aura flickering.

He smiled anyway.

"Funny," Vegito said. "I was thinking the same thing."

Above them, the universe trembled.

And somewhere beyond mortal sight, the gods continued to watch.

Choosing silence.
