Chapter 171 - CH 171 : Beyond Perfection

For a moment, the world forgot how to breathe.

The blue sky above Earth felt heavier, as if gravity itself had doubled. The laughter, the relief, the fragile peace that had wrapped the Z Fighters only seconds ago shattered like thin glass.

A figure stood before them.

Green and black armor-like skin. Purple bio-gems pulsing faintly. A familiar, horrifying smile carved across a perfect face.

Perfect Cell.

He floated just above the ground, arms crossed, tail swaying slowly behind him, as if he had all the time in the universe.

"You didn't invite me?" Cell said lightly, his voice dripping with mock disappointment. "How sad. Now the real fun begins."

Silence.

Goku's eyes widened. Vegeta's smirk vanished instantly. Piccolo took a sharp breath. Trunks froze, his hands trembling. Gohan stared, unable to process what he was seeing.

Rudra's pupils shrank.

"…Impossible," Shin whispered from afar, watching through divine sight. "He was erased. That attack—"

Cell tilted his head, sensing the distant divine presence. "Hmm? Supreme Kai, was it?" He chuckled. "You gods really should stop declaring conclusions so early."

Rudra took a slow step forward, his body still exhausted, chakra barely circulating. "You were erased," he said calmly, though his heart pounded. "I watched you disappear. That black hole swallowed everything."

Cell laughed.

A deep, satisfied laugh that echoed across the planet.

"Oh, it did," Cell replied. "That explosion was beautiful. Terrifying. For a moment, even I thought… this might be it."

He placed a hand on his chest.

"But you see, Rudra," he continued, eyes gleaming, "I am perfection."

Suddenly, his aura flared.

Not explosively. Not violently.

It spread like a suffocating fog.

Piccolo dropped to one knee instantly. Trunks staggered back. Gohan felt his chest tighten as if invisible hands were crushing his lungs.

Vegeta clenched his fists, teeth grinding. "This pressure… it's higher than before."

Goku swallowed hard. "Yeah… way higher."

Cell's aura stabilized, darker, denser, sharper than anything they had sensed before.

"When your little dragon attack hit me," Cell said, lowering his voice, "my body was destroyed. Completely."

Rudra's eyes narrowed.

"But," Cell continued, raising one finger, "my core survived. And inside that collapsing black hole… I evolved."

The word echoed like a curse.

"I adapted to spatial collapse. To chakra interference. To divine pressure," Cell said proudly. "Your Svadhisthana State forced my cells to transcend their previous limits."

He spread his arms wide.

"Thanks to you, Rudra… I am beyond Perfect now."

A ripple of terror passed through the group.

Trunks took a step forward. "You're lying!"

Cell's eyes snapped toward him.

In the blink of an eye, Cell appeared in front of Trunks.

No sound. No warning.

His finger stopped less than an inch from Trunks' forehead.

"Do you want proof?" Cell asked softly.

Rudra moved instantly, placing himself between them despite his exhaustion. "Cell. Your fight is with me."

Cell smiled wider. "Oh, it still is."

He leaned closer, voice dropping to a whisper only Rudra could hear. "But look at you… no ki. No chakra. No Svadhisthana."

Cell pulled back, floating upward.

"You're empty."

Rudra clenched his fists. He could feel it. His body was drained to the core. Even Instant Technique was impossible. His new space-time portal technique required focus and chakra he no longer had.

Cell looked down at the gathered warriors.

"So," he said casually, "which one of you wants to die first?"

Vegeta roared as golden lightning erupted around him. "BASTARD!"

He transformed instantly into Super Saiyan 3, power shaking the sky. Goku followed, aura flaring just as violently.

"We won't let you touch Earth again," Goku said firmly.

Cell laughed. "Two Super Saiyan 3s? Impressive."

He raised a single hand.

"And still… insufficient."

Before anyone could react, Cell vanished.

He reappeared above the planet, stretching his arms.

"Let's raise the stakes," Cell said. "I want all of you at your best. Despair tastes better that way."

The sky darkened.

Clouds twisted unnaturally. The air screamed.

Cell's aura expanded outward, wrapping the planet like a suffocating shell.

Piccolo looked up in horror. "He's compressing the atmosphere!"

Shin's voice echoed faintly through divine channels. "If this continues, Earth will collapse under its own pressure!"

Rudra took a slow breath.

His body trembled, not with fear, but with frustration.

"I used everything," he thought. "And it still wasn't enough."

Cell looked directly at him.

"Rest, Rudra," Cell said mockingly. "Watch."

He smiled.

"I'll break them one by one."

The ground cracked beneath the Z Fighters as Cell descended, power still rising.

And for the first time since this nightmare began…

The heroes of Earth felt something they hadn't felt in a long time.

True hopelessness.
