A front forms around the stairway. Healers tend to the shielder while everyone else scrambles to hold countless goblins back. The presence of their general makes them stronger, hardier, and bolder.
"Oi, rookie! Don't get any ideas! Leave that big one to me!" Old Rick's voice shouts.
The battle against the goblin general rages on; Lasting Victory finished off the death knight and is now doing crowd control; and my hands are full.
A pillar rises from the floor behind the hulking hobgoblin. It takes human shape and begins to move. The ground beneath the hobgoblin shifts, causing its feet to turn and its stance to widen. The moving pillar rams its shoulder with all its weight into the hobgoblin's hip, knocking it down.
A great stalactite drops onto the hobgoblin, impaling it. The dust settles, and the pillar is revealed to be Old Rick. He leaps over the crowd toward True Element and the goblin general.
Awed voices sound in the crowd, followed by a surge of morale. We begin to beat the goblins back toward the stairway.
After some time, we cut down the last of the goblins. Not long after, the goblin general drops. The dungeon flood has been dealt with.
