Chapter 2183 - Ch: 48-60

Chapter 48: Reckless Charge, Smoke Rises at Vought

Rorschach, using his Flight Ability, silently flew to the top of a tall building near Vought Tower. From his vantage point, he observed with cold eyes, perfectly concealing his presence, unnoticed by anyone.

On the street below, a black SUV sped recklessly, driving directly to the entrance of Vought Tower with a screech of brakes.

Soldier Boy pushed open the car door and strode out. His tall figure stood before Vought Tower like a battle god looking down on the world, his eyes arrogant and full of disdain.

"Vought! Homelander! Get out here!"

Soldier Boy's roar echoed like thunder throughout the entire New York City, spreading through every street and alley, causing countless passersby to stop and watch, pulling out their phones to record.

Vought Tower's security personnel immediately rushed out, pointing their weapons at Soldier Boy, their faces terrified: "Stop! Do not approach! Or we will shoot!"

"Shoot?" Soldier Boy sneered, his eyes full of mockery. "A bunch of trash, daring to stop me?"

Without the slightest hesitation, he took a step and charged directly towards Vought Tower. A dazzling red energy began to gather in his chest, growing increasingly violent and concentrated, like a furnace about to explode.

"Stop him! Open fire!" the security captain roared. All security personnel fired simultaneously, bullets raining down on Soldier Boy.

But the bullets merely bounced off Soldier Boy, unable to even break his skin. His Super Defense made him as impenetrable as Ironclad.

Butcher hid behind the car, watching Soldier Boy's relentless charge, and cursed under his breath: "This lunatic, he really just charged in!"

Rorschach stood high above, thinking to himself: "He truly lives up to his reputation as the most reckless person in The Boys Universe, untamed and lawless, not caring about anyone. Only he could do something like this."

Just then, on the top floor of Vought Tower, Homelanderfelt a powerful energy fluctuation. He looked down and saw Soldier Boy below, his face instantly turning extremely grim.

"Soldier Boy?! You actually came!" Homelander was both shocked and enraged. He hadn't expected this old monster from decades ago to not only still be alive but also to provoke him right at the entrance of Vought Tower.

Soldier Boy looked up at Homelander and laughed wildly: "Homelander! You bastard, today is your death day! I'm going to destroy you and Vought together!"

As his voice fell, the energy in Soldier Boy's chest had reached its peak. A super-large red energy cannon, several meters in diameter and carrying world-destroying power, blasted directly towards Vought Tower!

"No!!"

Homelander's pupils constricted, wanting to stop it, but it was already too late.

Boom—!!!

An earth-shattering roar echoed throughout New York, the ground trembling. The front of Vought Tower was directly blasted through by the energy cannon, thick smoke billowing upwards. Glass shards, rebar, and concrete flew everywhere, screams, cries for help, and explosions intertwined, plunging the entire Vought Tower into instant chaos.

Countless Vought employees and Supes ran out of the building, disheveled and wailing, the scene a complete mess.

Soldier Boy was thrown back by the impact of the explosion and landed on the ground. After getting up, he shook his head, clearly dazed, but he quickly recovered, his eyes still fierce.

He took large strides, walking towards the Vought Tower, which now had a gaping hole. Each step caused the ground to tremble slightly.

Homelander could no longer hold back. He unleashed his Flight Ability, plummeting from the top floor. Red Laser Eyes gathered in his eyes, fixed on Soldier Boy.

"Soldier Boy! I'm going to kill you!"

Chapter 49: Fierce Battle, Leading to the Suburbs

In the plaza in front of Vought Tower, smoke billowed, and chaos reigned.

Homelander swooped down from high above, his red Laser Eyes instantly firing, blasting towards Soldier Boy. The laser's temperature was extremely high, easily melting steel.

Soldier Boy's eyes narrowed. Instead of retreating, he advanced, his chest once again condensing an energy cannon, directly confronting Homelander's Laser Eyes.

Boom!

The Laser Eyes and energy cannon collided, generating a massive energy shockwave. The surrounding buildings swayed precariously, and passersby fled in terror, making the scene even more chaotic.

"You outdated old geezer, how dare you fight me?" Homelander roared, increasing the power of his Laser Eyes, activating his Flight Ability to full, and charging towards Soldier Boy.

"You brat, I was a national hero when you were still in your mother's womb!" Soldier Boy laughed wildly, continuously firing energy cannons, locked in an inseparable battle with Homelander.

Their battle was catastrophic. Punch for punch, kick for kick, energy collisions, lasers shooting everywhere, aerial collisions—each attack triggered a massive explosion. The walls of Vought Tower continuously collapsed, and surrounding vehicles were blasted into scrap metal.

Homelander's Laser Eyes were incredibly sharp, his flight speed extremely fast, and his Super Strength and Super Defense were top-notch; Soldier Boy's energy cannon possessed infinite power, his body was incomparably tough, and his combat experience was countless times richer than Homelander's.

The two fought back and forth, making it difficult to determine a winner for a while. The surrounding Vought personnel and innocent passersby became casualties, with countless dead and injured.

Butcher hid in the distance, watching this earth-shattering battle, his face grim. He took out his phone to contact Rorschach, but couldn't reach him at all.

Rorschach still stood in the shadows high above, in an invisible state, coldly observing the battle, with no intention of intervening.

Through Telepathy, sight, and hearing, he clearly captured every movement of the two, analyzing their abilities and weaknesses, listening to their roars and dialogue, silently calculating the best moment to strike.

"Homelander's Laser Eyes are powerful, but consume a lot of energy; Soldier Boy's energy cannon is invincible, but takes time to condense each time. Both of their defenses are very strong, making it impossible to determine a winner in a short time," Rorschach analyzed mentally. "Continuing to fight in the city will only attract the military and media, which is good for no one. They will definitely lead the battlefield to the suburbs."

As Rorschach expected, Homelander, in the midst of battle, looked at the surrounding crowds and the recording phones, his eyes sinister. He didn't want his disheveled appearance to be made public, nor did he want to attract military intervention.

"Soldier Boy, if you have the guts, come with me to the suburbs to fight! Staying here will only dirty my hands!" Homelander roared.

"Just what I wanted! I'll crush your throat with my own hands!" Soldier Boy also didn't want to be disturbed by passersby, laughing wildly as he agreed.

Ignoring the Vought Tower below and the chaotic crowd, they sped towards the suburbs of New York.

Red lasers and red energy cannons continuously collided in the sky, leaving dazzling streaks of light. The two figures grew farther and farther, finally disappearing from the crowd's sight, flying completely into the desolate suburbs.

Only the smoke-filled Vought Tower, disheveled survivors, and a ground littered with ruins and debris remained in the plaza. Alarms blared across New York City, echoing through the sky.

Rorschach stood high above, looking in the direction where they disappeared, muttering to himself, "A big brute versus a small brute, they really did lead the battle to the suburbs. Perfect for me to make my move."

He stretched his body, feeling the surging power within him. With 35 points, his various abilities completely overpowered them. Now, he possessed the capital to reap everything.

"Next, it's my turn to appear."

Rorschach activated his Flight Ability, transforming into an invisible black shadow, silently following them, flying towards the suburban battle to end this farce and become the final winner.

Chapter 50: Fierce Battle in the Suburbs, Entry

The wealthy villa district in the suburbs of New York had now become a living hell.

An entire hour had passed, and the violent energy impacts, deafening roars, and the crisp sound of reinforced concrete being torn apart had never ceased.

Homelander and Soldier Boy, two monsters at the pinnacle of the world's superhumans, were completely consumed by bloodlust, each collision powerful enough to make the earth tremble.

Rorschach was hidden in the interlayer of a completely collapsed shopping mall ruin three hundred meters away, his entire body covered by an invisibility ability, his aura perfectly suppressed. Even Super Hearing and heat vision couldn't detect his presence.

He leaned against a broken concrete beam, toying with a faint blue metal cylinder—an incapacitating smoke bomb—his trump card specially prepared for these two.

His gaze pierced through the smoke and dust, the scene on the battlefield as clear as if it were right before his eyes.

Faint red light emanated from Homelander's eyes, his iconic blue combat suit already drenched in blood and dust, the five-star emblem on his chest askew, his pupils filled with brutality and madness.

His Laser Eyes were like two scorching red light beams; wherever they swept, trees instantly carbonized, villa walls were melted into huge holes, and the ground was plowed with ravines several meters deep.

"Soldier Boy! You old dog crawled out of a World War II grave!"

Homelander roared and swooped down, his fists striking towards Soldier Boy's head with world-destroying power, the air itself exploding with a thunderous bang.

Soldier Boy was also covered in blood, his iconic black tactical armor covered in dents and scorch marks, the energy core on his chest flickering with an unstable dark yellow light.

Although he was a veteran with combat experience that crushed Homelander's, his age and the strain of continuous combat gradually put him at a disadvantage. He sharply dodged the heavy punch, drew the energy combat knife from his back, and slashed horizontally at Homelander's waist and abdomen.

"Bastard! You're just a defective product created from my genes! The only hero of the beautiful country will always be me!"

The shield-blade struck Homelander, who grunted in pain, then countered with a powerful headbutt to Soldier Boy's nose.

"Crack—"

A crisp sound of bone breaking rang out, Soldier Boy's nose gushed blood, and his body flew backward like a kite with a broken string, successively crashing through nearby buildings, sending dust soaring into the sky.

But he was Soldier Boy after all, growing stronger with each battle. The moment he landed, he propped himself up, and the energy core in his chest suddenly lit up with the most dazzling red light, unleashing a long-accumulated Ultimate Energy Cannon.

The yellow energy beam pierced through the entire battlefield. Homelander had nowhere to hide and could only cross his arms in front of him, activating Super Defense at full power.

"Boom—!!!"

The energy beam, over ten meters in diameter, slammed into Homelander, blasting a deep crater into the ground. The shockwave spread wildly from the two, instantly pulverizing the surrounding trees, buildings, and vehicles.

When the dust settled, Homelander's arms were somewhat twisted and deformed, he was spitting blood, kneeling at the edge of the giant crater, his Laser Eyes dim and weak.

Soldier Boy was no better; cracks appeared in his chest's energy core, his muscles twitched, and even standing became difficult.

Both men gasped for breath, their eyes still fierce, but they no longer had the world-destroying momentum from before.

Both suffered heavy losses.

Rorschach chuckled softly, "They've fought for over an hour, and I've seen enough of the show. It's my turn to enter and claim the kills."

He slowly stood up, deactivating part of his invisibility, and accurately threw the incapacitating smoke bomb in his hand onto the open ground between the two heroes.

"Bang—!"

With a soft sound, the faint blue smoke burst open like a tide. It had no scent but carried a strange energy fluctuation, instantly enveloping Homelander and Soldier Boy.

The next second, both of them simultaneously let out cries of pain.

"My abilities... my self-healing! My vision!" Homelandercovered his eyes in horror. His heat vision was completely chaotic, his hearing became sluggish, his Flight Ability felt as if a switch had been cut, and his body was as heavy as iron.

Soldier Boy roared in fury, trying to condense an energy cannon, but found that his chest core was unresponsive for a moment. His speed, defense, and hearing were all suppressed to the extreme.

Because both of their primary basic abilities were largely lost, and their secondary abilities were weakened by nearly fifty percent.

Rorschach slowly walked out of the smoke and dust, his tall and imposing figure casting a long shadow in the afterglow of the setting sun. With a playful smile on his handsome face, he said, "Two great heroes, are you tired of fighting? Next, it's my turn to play with you."

Chapter 51: Decapitation at Sunset, Strength Skyrockets

The effects of the Disabling Smoke still lingered. At this moment, Homelander and Soldier Boy were barely stronger than ordinary supes, let alone facing Rorschach, who had long been prepared.

Rorschach cracked his neck, his bones emitting a series of crisp pops. Abilities like Super Strength 1.5, Super Defense 2., Super Speed 1.3, and Energy Manipulation 1.5 were fully activated, radiating a suffocating pressure around him.

"Who are you?! That Vought security guard?" Homelandergritted his teeth and tried to pounce, but Rorschach gave him a casual shove, sending him crashing into a broken wall like a kite with a severed string, coughing up a mouthful of blood.

"Security?" Rorschach sneered. With a flash of movement, he instantly appeared behind Soldier Boy, his Super Speedon full display, leaving the other man without even a chance to react.

"Old man, aren't you supposed to be a great fighter?" Rorschach placed a hand on Soldier Boy's shoulder and poured his strength downward. Soldier Boy's knees buckled instantly, slamming into the ground and cracking the concrete.

Soldier Boy roared, trying to resist, but Rorschach's fist slammed into his cheek, caving it in instantly and sending teeth flying along with a spray of blood.

"You bastard... I'm going to kill you..."

"Kill me? Are you even worthy?" Rorschach stepped on his back. His Super Defense made all of Soldier Boy's struggles feel like mere tickles.

On the other side, Homelander struggled to his feet, his erratic Laser Eyes firing wildly, but they couldn't even touch the hem of Rorschach's clothes. Rorschach's figure blurred and appeared before him, grabbing him by the throat and lifting him into the air.

"Homelander, didn't you call yourself the God of America? Didn't you love controlling everything? Why do you look like a dead dog now?" Rorschach's tone was filled with mockery.

"Let me go... I'm Homelander!" Homelander's eyes were blood-red, but he didn't even have the strength to struggle.

"Homelander? In front of me, you're not even an ant."

This one-sided battle lasted the entire afternoon.

From the scorching midday sun until the sunset, the orange-red afterglow bathed the ruined battlefield. Rorschach played with the two once-arrogant supes like a cat with a mouse. He didn't kill them immediately, but instead ground down their remaining pride and resistance bit by bit, letting them experience the fear of death in despair.

Finally, the sun sank completely below the horizon, and the sky was dyed a deep blood-red.

Rorschach's gaze turned cold as his decisive, killing nature fully erupted.

He first walked over to Soldier Boy, grabbed his head with one hand, and let his Super Strength explode with full force.

"Crack—!"

With a bone-chilling sound of snapping bone, Soldier Boy's head was wrenched off. The legendary World War IIfigure was completely dead.

Homelander was scared out of his wits, completely breaking down and begging for mercy: "Don't kill me! Rorschach! I know you're Vought's Rorschach! I'll give you Vought International! I'll give you everything! Just spare my life!"

Rorschach looked down at him without a hint of pity, his words cold to the bone: "When you were killing civilians and watching that plane fall, thinking you could control everything, why didn't you think about today? Trash like you is a waste of air."

He reached out, grabbed Homelander's head, and gave it a violent twist.

The same sound of breaking bone rang out, and Homelander's head rolled to the ground, his eyes wide with resentment and fear.

The two great supe overlords were both dead.

Rorschach found a piece of sheet metal nearby and fashioned a box to store the two heads. Then, he pulled two cryogenic sterile storage tubes from his coat and collected two full tubes of blood emitting unique energy fluctuations from their severed necks—Homelander's golden-red blood and Soldier Boy's dark-red blood.

[Detected contact with top-tier supe blood: Homelander, Soldier Boy]

[Blood meets plunder conditions; abilities can be fused directly]

Rorschach gripped the storage tubes, a satisfied smile playing on his lips, and disappeared into the ruins under the blood-red sunset.

After dealing with the suburban battlefield, Rorschachdidn't linger. Using his Flight 1.1 ability, he turned into a black shadow and quickly returned to his penthouse apartment in the center of New York.

As he pushed open the door, three beautiful figures immediately rushed to meet him.

Queen Maeve had taken off her suit and was wearing loose loungewear, her heroic face full of worry: "Rorschach, where have you been? You were gone for so long, I was worried sick."

Allie took his arm and gently helped him wipe the dirt from his face: "Did something happen? We sensed a very strong energy fluctuation in the suburbs."

Kimiko leaned obediently by his side. Though she didn't speak, she gripped the corner of his shirt tightly, her eyes full of concern.

Then there was Erin, who walked over with a glass of warm water, handed it to him, and said softly: "Drink some water first, and tell us slowly."

Looking at the four beauties before him, the hostility in Rorschach's heart vanished instantly. He pulled them all into his arms, kissed Queen Maeve on the forehead, pinched Starlight's cheek, and gave a mischievous yet doting smile: "Don't worry, babies. I just went out to take care of those two mad dogs."

He didn't go into the bloody details of the battlefield, simply letting them know he was safe so they wouldn't worry.

After comforting the four beauties, Rorschach used the excuse of needing rest and entered his private secret room.

He closed the door, set the box aside, opened the two blood storage tubes, and without hesitation, smeared both types of blood onto his palms.

[Beginning fusion of Homelander's abilities]

[Current Total Points: 112]

An unprecedented surge of power flooded his body. Rorschach could clearly feel that his Super Defense had reached a realm of invulnerability to weapons and energy. His strength was enough to easily flip an aircraft carrier, his Laser Eyes could instantly melt through steel behemoths, his flight Speed had broken the sound barrier, his Hearingand Vision covered all of New York, and his Super Regeneration could heal non-lethal wounds in the blink of an eye.

His strength had completely surpassed the two powerhouses who had just died, making him a truly invincible existence in this world.

Feeling the world-destroying power within him, Rorschachcouldn't help but chuckle: "Now this is getting interesting."

He didn't stay in the secret room long, turning to open the door and returning to his girlfriends. Queen Maeve noticed the change in him at a glance and said in surprise: "Rorschach, your aura... it seems to have become much stronger, so strong that I can't see through it at all."

Rorschach wrapped his arm around her waist and whispered in her ear with a playboy's unique ambiguity: "Only by being stronger can I properly protect you—and satisfy you."

His girlfriends' cheeks flushed instantly, and they bashfully hammered on his chest.

That night, Rorschach spent some tender moments with his ladies. Early the next morning, he flew alone to a deserted island overseas to test his new abilities. A sweep of his Laser Eyes sliced through mountain peaks; an Energy Blast sent thousand-meter waves crashing across the sea; his flight Speed broke the sound barrier, leaving trailing afterimages.

After confirming he had perfect control over his abilities, his lips curled into a smile as he flew toward Vought International headquarters.

The real show has only just begun.

Chapter 52: Heads as a Gift, Taking Control of Vought

Inside the Vought International headquarters, in the boardroom on the top floor of the skyscraper, the atmosphere was extremely oppressive.

Edgar sat in the main seat, his face so gloomy it seemed to drip water. On the screen in front of him, the last images before contact was lost in the suburbs played repeatedly—the scene of Homelander and Soldier Boy battling.

"Two top assets have been out of contact for over twelve hours. Tell me, what exactly happened?!" Edgar roared, pounding the table. The board members were all silent, no one daring to answer.

Just then, the boardroom door was pushed open without warning.

Rorschach walked in slowly, hands in his pockets, a faint smile on his face, yet his aura made the temperature in the entire room drop several degrees.

"Rorschach? How dare you barge in!" a director shouted angrily, but instantly fell silent upon meeting Rorschach's icy gaze.

Edgar frowned, "Rorschach, you're just from security. This isn't where you should be."

Rorschach ignored his reprimand, walked straight to the center of the conference table, and placed a black wooden box on it with a dull thud.

"Mr. Edgar, esteemed directors, I'm here today to bring you a great gift," Rorschach said with a hint of mockery, his smile making everyone's blood run cold.

"A great gift?" Edgar's eyes were wary. "What exactly do you want to do?"

"Open it and you'll see," Rorschach gestured.

Edgar hesitated for a moment, then finally reached out and opened the wooden box.

The next second, everyone's pupils contracted sharply, their hearts stopped, and a chill shot from their feet to the top of their heads.

Inside the wooden box, two heads were neatly arranged—**Homelander's distorted, terrified face, and Soldier Boy's eyes, wide open in death**.

"Ugh—!"

Several directors instantly started vomiting, their faces pale as paper, trembling all over.

Edgar's hands trembled violently, his eyes filled with extreme fear and disbelief. He pointed at Rorschach, stammering, "Was...was it you? You killed them?"

"Otherwise?" Rorschach shrugged, saying casually, "Two disobedient mad dogs, constantly fighting and killing, affecting the company's business. I just had to clean up the trash."

The entire boardroom was deathly silent, save for everyone's heavy breathing.

Homelander, Vought's cash cow, the world's idol; Soldier Boy, Vought's ultimate weapon, a World War II legend. These two beings, revered by the entire world, had their heads twisted off by this once inconspicuous security guard!

Rorschach's aura at this moment was like a mountain, pressing down on everyone, making them breathless: "Now, I think you should understand who the true master of Vought is, right?"

Not a single person dared to resist.

In the face of absolute power, all authority, wealth, and status were vulnerable.

Edgar was the first to react, quickly standing up and bowing respectfully: "Mr. Rorschach, from today onwards, all shares, management rights, and decision-making power of Vought International belong to you! We have no objections!"

The other directors also followed suit, bowing their heads, their tones extremely respectful: "We will all listen to Mr. Rorschach!"

Rorschach nodded in satisfaction, his dark smile growing more intense: "Very good, only the wise adapt to circumstances. From today onwards, I am the sole controller of Vought International. Those who don't listen will end up like the two heads in the box."

Chapter 53: Beauties in Place, Collecting Superpowers

After taking complete control of Vought International, the first thing Rorschach did was arrange for his girlfriends to be placed in the most core and powerful positions.

He sat in the top-floor CEO's office that originally belonged to Edgar, the huge floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking all of New York. Four beauties stood by his side, each with eyes full of pleasant surprise.

Rorschach reached out and put his arm around Queen Maeve's waist. The heroic and valiant Maeve now showed a completely feminine side in front of him. He said softly, "Maeve, you will serve as the General Head of Vought's Superhuman Affairs Department, in charge of the training, operations, and control of all superheroes. The entire superhuman team will be under your command."

Maeve's eyes lit up. She was a top-tier superhuman herself, with both strength and experience; this position couldn't be more suitable. "Thank you, Rorschach. I definitely won't let you down."

Rorschach then looked at Starlight Angela and gently pinched her cheek. "Starlight, you will be responsible for Vought's Global Public Relations and Image Department, reshaping the company's reputation and image. From now on, the world's public opinion will be under your control."

Starlight nodded happily, "I'll work hard, Rorschach."

Next was Kimiko. Rorschach patted her head and said dotingly, "Miko, you'll be in charge of the company's internal security operations. If anyone dares to be disobedient, you deal with them directly."

Kimiko nodded vigorously, a sweet smile spreading across her face.

Finally, there was Irene. Rorschach pulled her into his arms and gave her a light kiss on the lips. "Irene, you will serve as the company's Chief Financial Officer and Global Operations Director. All funds, assets, and operations will be controlled by you. My money is your money."

Irene's cheeks flushed slightly as she replied softly, "I'll manage everything well so you have no worries."

The four beauties each took charge of Vought's core departments, becoming Rorschach's most trusted right-hand women. The entire Vought International completely became Rorschach's personal domain.

After arranging the company's affairs, Rorschach had someone find everyone from The Boys—Billy Butcher, Hughie, Frenchie, Mothers Milk, as well as Becca and Ryan, mother and son.

Everyone was brought to the reception room at Vought headquarters. Looking at the man before them who had seized control of Vought and killed Homelander, Butcherclenched his fists but didn't have the slightest courage to resist.

"Rorschach, what do you want?" Butcher asked in a heavy voice.

Rorschach leaned back on the sofa, crossing his legs, and said easily and casually, "Don't be nervous, Butcher. I have no interest in killing you."

He waved his hand, and a subordinate handed over several sets of new identity documents and huge checks. "Homelander is dead, Becca and Ryan are safe. Your revenge should have ended long ago. This money, these new identities, and the houses—I'm giving them all to you. From now on, return to a normal life and do not interfere in any superhuman matters again."

Becca hugged Ryan tightly, tears falling as she bowed deeply to Rorschach. "Thank you, Rorschach. Thank you for bringing peace to our lives."

Butcher remained silent for a long time, but eventually took the documents. He knew that in the face of Rorschach's absolute power, resistance was meaningless.

A few days later, The Boys was completely disbanded. Everyone returned to an ordinary life. Becca and her son were sent to a remote small town to live a stable and peaceful life.

In the entire world, there was no longer any force that could contend with Rorschach.

Having resolved all hidden threats, Rorschach began his plan—unify the world, collect superhuman blood, and earn system points.

Relying on his invincible strength, he flew across the globe. No country, organization, or superhuman could withstand his power.

A secret superhuman base in Asia was leveled by a single energy blast from him; a rebel superhuman legion in Europe was swept away by his Laser Eyes, and the entire group surrendered; warring ability users in Africa were completely tamed by his Mind Control; and all remaining superhumans in the Americas took the initiative to come and pledge their loyalty.

With Super Defense 2.'s invulnerability, Super Strength 2.destructive power, Energy Manipulation 2.0's freedom of control, Laser Eyes 2.0's indestructibility, Flight 2.0's mobility, plus Mind Control, Telepathy, Super Speed, and other abilities, Rorschach was like a god walking among mortals.

In just three months, Rorschach had completely unified the world of The Boys. Every country, every force, and every superhuman in the world knelt at his feet. The world entered an unprecedented era.

While unifying the world, Rorschach's core mission—collecting superhuman blood—was also proceeding at full speed.

He ordered a global screening of all superhumans to establish the most comprehensive ability gene bank. For every sample of ability blood collected, the system would automatically award points and unlock the corresponding Level 1 ability.

[Detected Water Control ability blood, Points +1, Acquired Water Control 1.0]

[Detected Blink ability blood, Points +1, Acquired Blink 1.0]

[Detected Elemental Resistance blood, Points +1, Acquired Elemental Resistance 1.0]

[Detected Enhanced Invisibility blood, Points +1, Acquired Enhanced Invisibility 1.0]

...

System notification sounds rang continuously in Rorschach's mind. His points rose rapidly, and various abilities were unlocked one after another.

The four beauties—Maeve, Starlight, Kimiko, and Irene—remained by his side, helping him manage global affairs and taking care of his daily life.

At night, Rorschach lay on the large bed in the bedroom. Maeve leaned against his chest and said softly, "Rorschach, you've already collected so many abilities. Are you going to continue?"

Rorschach lowered his head and kissed the top of her head, smiling with a charmingly roguish doting, "Of course I'll continue. The more abilities I have, the stronger I'll be, and the better I can protect you all forever and give you the best life."

Starlight snuggled up to his side and said tenderly, "No matter what you do, we will support you."

Kimiko and Irene also nodded one after another, their eyes full of trust and adoration.

Day after day, Rorschach's ability library continued to expand, and his points soared.

Chapter 54: Merging Numerous New Abilities, Traveling

After a full three months of global collection and fusion, Rorschach's system panel underwent earth-shaking changes.

[Total Abilities Acquired: 58 types, all at Level 1.]

[Abilities of the same nature detected, automatically merging and upgrading.]

[Super Speed 1.4 → 2.0]

[Telepathy 1.3 → 1.8]

[Mind Control 1.3 → 1.8]

[Super Regeneration 1.8 → 1.9]

The 58 types of Level 1 abilities mostly completed fusion with Rorschach's existing core abilities, causing his strength to skyrocket once again. All his weaknesses were patched, and rare abilities emerged one after another—Gravity Manipulation, Spatial Perception, Elemental Immunity, Mental Barrier, Energy Absorption, and so on—making him a truly omnipotent and invincible existence.

[Host: Rorschach]

[Abilities: Super Speed 2.0, Invisibility 1.0, Super Defense 2.2, Super Strength 2.1, Energy Manipulation 2.0, Shapeshifting 1.3, Super Regeneration 1.9, Telepathy 1.8, Mind Control 1.8, Flight Ability 2.0, Laser Eyes 2.0]

[Current Total Points: 170]

[Points have exceeded 100. Points can be consumed to perform a Multiverse Travel. Currently, only random travel is available.]

Hearing the notification for the travel function, Rorschachdidn't plan on traveling in the near future. Since coming to this world, he had been busy; now, he could finally enjoy himself properly.

Moreover, he also intended to familiarize himself with his various abilities during this process to ensure he could control them freely. He couldn't be like Magneto, who clearly had Magnetic Control but wasted the ability's potential.

By this time, the world of The Boys had been completely taken over by Rorschach.

Looking at the four beauties beside him, Rorschach gave a sly smile and made a decision: "Babies, the world is at peace and the points are sufficient. Next, we'll put everything aside and travel the world to enjoy life."

The four beauties instantly cheered, feeling incredibly happy.

Maeve smiled and said, "I want to go see the penguins in Antarctica!"

Starlight: "I want to go to Paris; I heard it's the most romantic place!"

Erin: "I want to go to the North Pole to see the Aurora!"

Kimiko tugged at Rorschach's sleeve, her eyes full of expectation: "Australia... South America..."

Rorschach laughed loudly, a playboy-style promise slipping out: "No problem. Wherever you want to go, I'll take you there. I'll accompany you to see all the scenery in the world!"

The next day, Rorschach handed over all global affairs to his subordinates and took his girlfriends on a romantic trip around the world.

Rorschach took Maeve, Starlight, Kimiko, and Erin to their first stop: the passionate South America.

In the primitive mysteries of the Amazon Rainforest, Rorschach activated his Flight Ability, weaving between towering ancient trees with the four beauties. Colorful parrots flew past them, and waterfalls cascaded down, creating a mist that made it feel like a fairyland.

Kimiko excitedly pointed at the small animals in the forest, jumping and skipping while holding Rorschach's hand like an innocent child. Rorschach followed her dotingly, using his super vision to help her find the cutest little monkeys and his Super Hearing to listen to the birdsong in the forest.

In front of Iguazu Falls, Rorschach opened an energy barrier to protect the four of them inside, letting the majestic water crash against it while they remained completely unharmed. He hugged Maeve and Starlight from behind, whispering sweet nothings into their ears. Rorschach's sweet words made the two beauties' cheeks flush and their hearts race.

On the white sands of Rio de Janeiro, the four wore cool summer clothes, lying under sun umbrellas, drinking iced juice, and watching the sunset over the sea. Rorschach had one arm around Erin and used the other hand to pinch Kimiko's cheek, smiling as he asked, "So, isn't the scenery here much better?"

Erin nodded gently, a tender smile appearing at the corner of her mouth: "Wherever you are, everything looks beautiful."

At night, the four stayed in a luxury villa by the sea. Rorschach accompanied them as they ate South American specialty barbecue, listened to passionate Samba music, and danced gracefully. There were no power struggles, no battles of abilities—only ultimate romance and warmth.

After staying in South America for a month, Rorschach took them to their next stop—Australia.

On the vast grasslands, they watched herds of kangaroos hopping; at the Great Barrier Reef, Rorschach used an energy shield to take them diving to see the colorful corals and schools of fish; in front of the Sydney Opera House, they left behind sweet photos.

The laughter of the four beauties, accompanied by Rorschach's doting, spread to every corner of Australia.

Leaving Australia, Rorschach flew with the four beauties toward the Earth's poles.

Next stop, the North Pole.

In the polar night sky, the aurora flowed slowly like colorful silk ribbons. The green, blue, and purple lights intertwined, creating a breathtaking beauty.

Rorschach stood beneath the aurora, his Super Defenseinsulating them from all the cold, making the air around them as warm as spring.

Starlight leaned into Rorschach's embrace, looking at the stunning aurora and whispering in admiration, "It's so beautiful. This is the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen."

Rorschach lowered his head to kiss her forehead and said suggestively, "No matter how beautiful it is, it's not as beautiful as my babies."

Maeve snuggled against his shoulder, her heroic face full of tenderness: "Rorschach, thank you for taking me to see such beautiful scenery."

Erin and Kimiko gripped his hands tightly, their eyes filled with happiness and satisfaction.

After watching the aurora at the North Pole, they immediately set off for Antarctica.

Pure white snow covered the entire continent, the boundless glaciers were flawless, and groups of penguins waddled across the snow, looking endearingly clumsy and incredibly cute.

Kimiko squatted on the ground, carefully reaching out to stroke a little penguin's head, her eyes curving into crescents from her smile. Rorschach stood beside her, using his Super Strength and speed to help her build a huge snowman. Maeve, Starlight, and Erin played nearby, their laughter echoing across the Antarctic ice plains.

Rorschach took out a camera and captured the happiest moments of the four beauties, smiling slyly: "These photos are my most precious treasures."

The polar journey was brief but wonderful, and the feelings between the four grew deeper amidst the extreme scenery.

Leaving Antarctica, they embarked on their final stop—the romantic city of Paris.

Chapter 55: Paris, Crossing Over

In Paris, beneath the Eiffel Tower and along the banks of the Seine, romance filled the air.

On a bright, sunny day, Rorschach, dressed in a finely tailored suit, walked down Paris's famous Champs-Élyséeswith a commanding presence.

Beside him were four graceful and extraordinary women: the elegant and noble Lilith, the sweet and lovely Alice, the cold and mysterious Vivian, and the lively and playful Lucy. Each was unique, yet all possessed world-shaking beauty and captivating charm.

Hand in hand, they strolled leisurely down the bustling street, feeling the envious gazes of tourists from all over the world.

Along the way, they chatted and laughed, sharing bits and pieces of their lives. Before they knew it, they arrived at the entrance of the Louvre, one of the world's three greatest museums.

Stepping into the Louvre felt like entering a temple of art. The dazzling array of precious artifacts was overwhelming, but the most eye-catching of all was the world-famous portrait, the Mona Lisa.

Seeing the painting in person, everyone was struck by its unique spirit, especially the faint, enigmatic smile on the subject's lips, which left them utterly enchanted.

After leaving the Louvre, the group boarded a cruise ship on the Seine to admire Paris's beautiful night view. As they sat on the boat, a cool breeze brushed their faces. The shimmering river reflected the brilliant lights along the banks, unfolding before them like a magnificent, colorful painting.

At the top of the Eiffel Tower, Rorschach had booked the entire observation deck and prepared a romantic candlelight dinner.

Crystal chandeliers sparkled, and rose petals covered the floor as the four beauties sat by his side, their smiles sweet.

Rorschach raised his glass, looking at his loved ones with a tender gaze: "Babies, thank you for staying by my side these past six months. From New York to South America, from Australia to the North and South Poles, and now to Paris—with you here, I am the happiest man alive."

Maeve, Starlight, Irene, and Kimiko all raised their glasses and clinked them gently against his.

"We are willing to stay with you forever."

"No matter where you go, we will follow you."

After dinner, Rorschach leaned against the tower's railing with the four beauties, looking out over the glittering night view of Paris.

At this moment, Rorschach felt a sense of peace with the past and anticipation for the future.

Suddenly, the system's notification sound rang out.

[Multiverse Portal is ready. The first crossing will be random and costs 100 points. Once opened, you can reach the other world through the portal within one minute.]

Rorschach felt conflicted. He had planned to rest for a while longer, but it seemed impossible now. Knowing the system's nature, it wouldn't have popped up this notification for no reason; there had to be a cause. He just hoped the random world wouldn't be some hellish place like the Marvel Zombies Universe or a Cthulhu Cancer Universe.

He turned to look at the four beauties. If he was to leave, it would be best for them to stay here for now. After all, no one knew if the next world would be safe.

After spending a few more days in Paris, Rorschach and his group returned to Vought Tower. He properly arranged the company's affairs, distributed all his shares to his girlfriends, and enjoyed a final night at home.

The next day, he informed them that he would be leaving for a while, though he concealed the existence of the system and the fact that he was going to another world. The former couldn't be known, and the latter was simply too shocking.

His girlfriends looked disappointed. They had spent so much time apart, and just as they had finally settled down, Rorschach was busy again. However, they all expressed their understanding.

Maeve: "No matter where you go, I'll wait for your return."

Starlight: "Me too."

Irene: "I belong to you forever."

Kimiko nodded vigorously, gripping his hand tightly.

Rorschach's heart was full of warmth. A devious smile reappeared on his face as he blurted out a scumbag-style domineering declaration: "Alright! In that case, I'll go ahead and scout the way. I'll find a way to come back as soon as possible!"

After all, with all the various abilities and strange items across the myriad heavens and realms, crossing worlds was certainly possible.

Hesitating no longer, he said his goodbyes and flew to a deserted island overseas. In his mind, he commanded the system:

"**Open the Crossing Portal!**"

In an instant, a golden portal radiating a mysterious aura slowly expanded before Rorschach. It shone brilliantly—the gateway to an unknown universe.

Rorschach took one last lingering look toward Vought, then resolutely stepped into the portal.

The world of The Boys was now a thing of the past. In the new world, new challenges awaited Rorschach.

Chapter 56: Traveling through the Cold War, Tracing Mutants

Just as the dizziness from the spatial tear subsided, Rorschach landed steadily on a deserted highway.

His soles brushed against the rough gravel, sending a slight sensation of friction.

With the help of his level 1.9 Super Regeneration ability, the slight headache and fatigue from the crossing vanished almost instantly.

His whole body returned to a refreshed and sharp state, without any lingering sluggishness.

He raised his eyes and quickly scanned his surroundings; several vintage-style cars were parked by the roadside.

The utility poles were covered in yellowed anti-nuclear propaganda and recruitment posters; he could vaguely guess the general era at a glance.

Instead of wasting time guessing, it was better to find a local to get the facts straight.

Rorschach simply turned around and walked toward a town where lights were visible in the distance—bars were always hubs for rumors, making them the easiest place to find information.

The late autumn evening breeze carried a hint of chill, messing up the stray hairs on his forehead.

A few minutes later, the faded wooden sign of "Country Pub" finally appeared before his eyes.

Rorschach pushed open the wooden door of the tavern, and the wind chimes hanging on the door tinkled.

The crisp sound broke the dullness inside the tavern. He walked straight to the bar and tapped on the smooth wooden counter.

"Give me a glass of the cheapest whiskey, with ice."

The bartender was looking down, wiping a glass, and only looked up when he heard the voice.

He slowly sized Rorschach up with a scrutinizing look, his tone offering a casual reminder.

"You're a new face, kid. You're not from around here, are you? The world is a mess right now; aren't you afraid of running into trouble wandering around like this?"

Rorschach took the glass pushed over by the bartender, his fingertips touching the cold surface.

He took a small sip of the pungent whiskey, feigning a look of helplessness and curiosity to strike up a conversation.

"Don't even get me started. My car broke down while passing through, and there's no cell signal, so I had to find a place to stay the night. I heard the radio blaring on the roadside just now; I wanted to ask, is a nuclear war really coming? It sounds pretty terrifying."

The bartender sighed heavily and put down his rag.

He deliberately lowered his voice, his tone full of the helplessness of an ordinary person.

"Who knows! The President has given the order, the missile units are on full alert, and the newspapers are full of this news every day."

"What can we ordinary people do besides drink a bit and worry blindly?"

A scruffy man at the next table was sipping his drink. Hearing them talk about nuclear war, he immediately put down his glass and leaned in.

His voice rose for a moment, then, as if remembering something, he quickly lowered it.

"What's a nuclear war? Brother, you're from out of town so you don't know, but lately, the 'monsters' around here are even scarier!"

Rorschach raised an eyebrow in feigned confusion, leaning forward slightly as if listening intently.

"What monsters? Could they be scarier than a nuclear war? I didn't see anything unusual on my way here."

"They're monsters, alright!" The scruffy man took a large gulp of liquor, his cheeks turning red instantly.

He grew more animated as he spoke, his tone carrying the lingering fear of personal experience.

"The day before yesterday, I was working in the outskirts and saw a kid with my own eyes. He just stretched out a finger and blue sparks flew out."

"In the blink of an eye, he scorched a whole patch of weeds. It scared the life out of me! Others say some can read people's minds, and some can lift several tons with one hand."

"The government is looking for these freaks everywhere now!"

The bartender quickly grabbed his arm, warily scanning the other patrons in the tavern.

Afraid of being overheard, he hissed in a low voice.

"Keep your voice down! Don't talk nonsense. If the CIA hears this, you'll be in for it."

"Being taken in for questioning would be the least of your worries!"

"I'm not making this up!" The scruffy man shook off his hand, also lowering his voice, but still sounding defiant.

His tone was very certain, as if emphasizing the truth of his words.

"My own nephew works at the CIA, and he told me secretly that the government is putting together a secret team lately."

"Specifically to gather those 'freaks' together, supposedly to deal with some threat."

Rorschach's heart stirred, but he still looked curious, following up with more questions.

"There's such a thing? Who's leading that team? Where are they doing it?"

"I'm just curious, I don't mean anything by it, and I won't spread it around."

"The leaders are two young men, I'm not sure about their exact backgrounds," the scruffy man scratched his head, frowning as he thought carefully for a moment.

He paused for a moment before speaking slowly: "One looks very refined; I heard he's incredibly smart and can see through people's minds."

"The other has a fiery temper and looks like trouble. He can control metal; I heard he can even snatch a pistol away from a distance!"

Rorschach curled his lip in feigned regret and continued to press.

"That powerful? What are their names? How can you not remember the names of such legendary figures?"

"Sigh, my brain has never been good at remembering things," the scruffy man waved his hand dismissively.

He looked a bit embarrassed: "I think one was called Charles and the other was Eric, I forgot the exact names."

"But I remember the location clearly. It's at a deserted military base about a dozen kilometers away. My nephew said the CIA is spearheading the team."

"Charles Xavier, Erik Lehnsherr." Rorschach muttered the two names under his breath.

His suspicions were completely confirmed, and a faint smile flickered in his eyes.

He smiled and raised his glass to the scruffy man: "Thanks. I've really learned something today. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known about this. It wasn't a wasted trip."

After chatting a bit more with the man and the bartender about trivial matters and confirming there was no more useful information,

Rorschach put down his glass, took out some change to pay, and turned to walk out of the tavern.

The cold wind outside instantly blew away the faint smell of alcohol on him.

He raised his hand and rubbed his fingertips, immediately calling up the system's virtual panel in his mind.

"System, upgrade Super Regeneration, Telepathy, and Mind Control—all three abilities—to level 2.0."

He gave the command in his mind decisively, without any hesitation.

The next second, a light blue system prompt popped up.

"Host command detected. Upgrading the three abilities will cost a total of 5 points. Current points: 7000. Remaining points after upgrade: 6500. Confirm upgrade?"

"Confirm." Rorschach agreed simply. As soon as he spoke, three warm currents surged into his body.

The warm currents spread through his limbs and bones, and the points on the panel dropped rapidly to 65.

[Host: Rorschach]

[Abilities: Super Speed 2.0, Invisibility 1.0, Super Defense 2.2, Super Strength 2.1, Energy Manipulation 2.0, Shapeshifting 1.3, Super Regeneration 2.0, Telepathy 2.0, Mind Control 2.0, Flight 2.0, Laser Eyes 2.0]

[Current Total Points: 65]

He moved his wrists, feeling the surging power within him, and confirmed his abilities with a smile.

"Super Regeneration 2.0, Telepathy 2.0, Mind Control 2.0. Perfect. I have much more confidence now."

The three upgraded core abilities were enough for him to handle the initial troubles he might encounter.

Rorschach's eyes narrowed slightly as he immediately set a goal—find Charles and Eric first and harvest the abilities of the X-Men.

He straightened his slightly wrinkled combat suit, trying to make himself look less conspicuous.

Then, with a slight exertion of his feet and using his Super Speed 2.0 ability, his figure instantly turned into a blurred dark shadow.

He dashed toward the deserted military base a dozen kilometers away, as mentioned by the scruffy man.

His steps were light and firm, without any hesitation.

On the highway, passing cars continued to drive slowly, and the warning sounds from the radios could be heard faintly.

Ordinary people were still panicking over the shadow of nuclear war, completely unaware of anything unusual.

They had no idea that a powerhouse from another world had quietly entered this land.

And his arrival was about to completely disrupt the original order of this world.

Chapter 57: Rookie, Arrival

Rorschach used Super Speed to weave through the wilderness paths, the night wind whistling past his ears.

Just then, a burst of rapid gunfire and cries for help suddenly entered his perception.

"Don't shoot! I don't want to attack you!"

The voice was tearful, youthful, and panicked, sounding like a teenager of seventeen or eighteen.

Rorschach paused, slowed down, and used Telepathy to scan the woods ahead.

He saw four Special Forces soldiers in black combat gear, rifles in hand, surrounding a thin boy.

The boy curled up behind a large tree, covered in dust, with a gunshot wound in his arm, blood staining his thin jacket red.

He tightly gripped a stone, a faint white light flickering at his fingertips, yet he couldn't even mount a decent counterattack.

"Colonel Stryker's orders: capture all Mutants. Anyone who resists is to be killed on sight!"

The lead soldier barked coldly, his muzzle still aimed at the boy, his tone filled with icy determination.

Mutants, Stryker, Special Forces—a flash of realization crossed Rorschach's eyes.

It seemed this was the team sent by the military to capture Mutants, and this boy was just a "rookie Mutant" with no combat capability.

The boy was clearly dazed by the gunfire, the white light at his fingertips flickering. His voice trembled: "I... I can't control my power well, I don't want to hurt anyone..."

His ability seemed to be just faint energy fluctuations; let alone fighting back, even protecting himself was a struggle.

Another round of bullets flew, hitting the tree trunk behind the boy. Wood chips flew, scaring him into a tight ball.

Just then, a dark shadow flashed past. With a blur of movement, Rorschach appeared beside the boy.

He waved his hand, using Super Defense to instantly block all the bullets.

The bullets fell to the ground with a crisp clatter. The four soldiers froze, looking at the suddenly appearing Rorschach in shock.

"Who are you?" the lead soldier shouted sharply, immediately turning his muzzle toward Rorschach.

Rorschach ignored him, looking down at the shivering boy, his tone flat: "If you don't want to die, shut up and follow."

The boy looked up and saw Rorschach's calm demeanor. A spark of hope instantly ignited in his eyes, and he nodded hurriedly.

"Fire! Take down both of these Mutants!" the lead soldier reacted and shouted his command.

Rorschach's eyes turned cold. Without much effort, he raised his hand and used Mind Control to interfere with the four soldiers' thoughts.

The four soldiers instantly froze in place, their eyes hollow, and their rifles fell to the ground with a clang.

This was the power of Level 2.0 Mind Control—more than enough to deal with ordinary humans.

"Let's go." Rorschach pulled the still-dazed boy and turned toward the abandoned base.

The boy hurriedly followed, stumbling a few steps. The wound on his arm twitched, making him grimace in pain.

"Th... thank you!" he whispered his thanks as he ran, his eyes full of gratitude.

Rorschach didn't stop. He spoke indifferently, "I'm not saving you, it's just on my way."

He really didn't have much of a mind for rescue, but since the boy was a Mutant, perhaps bringing him along would help him integrate faster into Charles and Eric's team.

The boy didn't mind and quickly introduced himself: "My name is Tom. I can weakly manipulate energy, but... I just can't control it well."

As he spoke, he lowered his head in embarrassment, clearly feeling inferior about his "rookie" ability.

"Why were they after you?" Rorschach asked casually, his pace still brisk.

Tom bit his lip, his tone panicked: "I don't know. They just suddenly appeared, said I was a Mutant, and wanted to take me to see some colonel."

"I heard that two powerful Mutants are gathering people like us at an abandoned base about ten kilometers away."

"I was planning to find them, but I was caught by these soldiers on the way."

Rorschach arched an eyebrow; it seemed Tom's destination was the same as his.

"What a coincidence, I'm going there too," Rorschach said calmly. "Follow me and don't slow me down, or I won't bother with you."

Tom nodded quickly. Even though his arm hurt, he did his best to keep up with Rorschach's pace: "I definitely won't slow you down! Thank you!"

Rorschach reached out and touched the boy's blood. A notification sound rang out.

"Acquired Superpower: Light Energy Manipulation 1.0, 10 Points."

"Light Energy Manipulation 1.0 merged into Energy Manipulation 2.0."

A rookie indeed!

[Host: Rorschach]

[Abilities: Super Speed 2.0, Invisibility 1.0, Super Defense 2.2, Super Strength 2.1, Energy Manipulation 2.0, Shapeshifting 1.3, Super Regeneration 2.0, Telepathy 2.0, Mind Control 2.0, Flight 2.0, Laser Eyes 2.0]

[Current Total Points: 66]

He glanced at his panel, then turned and led Tom toward their destination.

The night wind remained biting as the two of them traversed the wilderness, one behind the other.

Rorschach stood tall with a steady stride, exuding the composure of a powerful individual.

Tom followed behind, his frame thin, but his gaze was determined. He clenched his fists, trying hard to control his weak ability.

In the distance, faint lights flickered at the Abandoned Military Base.

Rorschach knew that Charles, Eric, and those first-generation Mutants were there.

And with this "rookie Mutant" in tow, perhaps this journey to reap rewards would be a bit more interesting than he had anticipated.

Tom looked at Rorschach's back, his heart filled with gratitude and awe.

He could feel that Rorschach was strong—strong enough to put him at ease. This was the first time he had felt a sense of security since becoming a Mutant.

The two traveled quickly, avoiding several waves of patrol soldiers sent by Stryker.

Tom would occasionally whisper questions about the abandoned base, but Rorschach only gave offhanded replies.

He hadn't forgotten his goal—to find Charles and Eric and acquire their abilities.

As for Tom, he was just a "tool" brought along for the ride; as long as he didn't slow him down, there was no harm in keeping him around.

After walking for another half hour, the outline of the Abandoned Military Base became increasingly clear.

It was a desolate military camp with mottled walls riddled with bullet holes, exuding an air of desolation and mystery.

Rorschach stopped and looked up, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes.

He could sense several different energy fluctuations within the base, two of which were exceptionally powerful.

Without even thinking, he knew they must be Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr.

"We're here," Rorschach said flatly, turning to look at Tombehind him.

Tom looked up, and the moment he saw the abandoned base, the light of hope instantly ignited in his eyes.

He knew that as long as he stepped inside, he should be safe.

Rorschach straightened his clothes and led the way toward the base gates, his tone cold but carrying an unquestionable authority: "Keep up. Remember, once we're inside, talk less and don't cause me any trouble."

Tom hurried to follow, staying close behind Rorschach, his eyes full of anticipation and unease.

Chapter 58: First Encounter at the Base, Mental Defensesand Hostility

Rorschach took Tom and pushed straight through the ajar iron gate of the abandoned base.

The door hinges let out a faint creak, instantly interrupting the conversation inside.

In the central open space, several young people turned their heads one after another.

Their gazes fell on the two of them in unison, and the air instantly froze.

Tom shrunk his neck in fear, instinctively hiding behind Rorschach.

Rorschach remained calm, his gaze calmly locking onto the two most prominent figures in the crowd.

Charles, wearing a casual suit and gold-rimmed glasses, was the first to step forward.

With a gentle smile on his face, he spoke in a friendly tone: "Who are you? How did you find this base?"

"This is our temporary sanctuary; it's not open to outsiders."

Rorschach looked up slightly, his tone flat: "I am Rorschach, and this is Tom. We are both Mutants."

"As for how we got here, I heard someone mention on the road that there was a place that could shelter Mutants, so I came to take a look."

As he spoke, Charles quietly activated his Telepathy, his lips twitching imperceptibly.

Suddenly, the smile on his face froze, and his tone grew more puzzled: "Sorry, I mean no harm; I just wanted to confirm your identities."

"My Telepathy actually can't penetrate your Mental Defenses; this is quite rare."

"Is it rare?" Rorschach raised an eyebrow, his tone showing no ripple of emotion.

"I have Telepathy Ability. I'm skilled at shielding myself from others' probes, and I can also manipulate and sense my surroundings, so naturally, I can block your probe."

Beside him, Eric, dressed in a black trench coat with sharp eyes, stepped forward slowly.

The Magnetic Field around him fluctuated slightly, his tone cold and wary: "Telepathy? Able to block Charles's probe?"

"Barging in with an unknown background, why should we believe you aren't an undercover agent sent by the military?"

"I didn't plan on making you believe me," Rorschach met his gaze, neither humble nor arrogant.

"I'm just taking Tom to escape the military's pursuit and, while I'm at it, verifying if your so-called'sanctuary' can truly protect us Mutants."

Tom quickly poked his head out from behind Rorschach, his voice small and thin, tinged with a bit of awkwardness.

"I... my name is Tom. I can weakly manipulate Light Energy, but I can't control it well."

"Just now on the road, we were being pursued by Special Forces sent by the military. Rorschach saved me."

Charles looked at the bleeding wound on Tom's arm, his eyes showing a bit more pity.

He quickly said, "Child, don't be afraid. It's safe here. I'll help you treat your wound right away."

"Don't worry, Stryker's people won't find this place."

"Charles, you're too naive!" Eric interrupted him sharply.

Eric waved his arm, and an iron nail on the ground slowly floated up, pointing at Rorschach.

"You can't even probe his thoughts; how can you be sure he's not an undercover agent?"

"Stryker has been hunting Mutants; we can't take any risks!"

Rorschach glanced at the floating nail, a hint of mockery curling at the corner of his mouth.

"You want to test me with just this nail? Erik Lehnsherr, your ability to manipulate metal is indeed quite good."

"But it's not enough to threaten me."

"You know me?" Eric's eyes narrowed, his tone becoming even colder.

"Who exactly are you? Why do you know my name? And Charles's? Have you investigated us beforehand?"

"Before coming here, I had heard rumors about you," Rorschach said calmly.

"Charles Xavier, possessing super Mental Sensing and manipulation abilities, is intent on letting Mutants and humans coexist in peace."

"Erik Lehnsherr, Magneto, can manipulate all metal and is full of hostility toward humans. Am I right?"

Charles was stunned for a moment, then nodded: "It seems you do indeed know about us."

"Rorschach, I know you're guarded, and we have our own concerns. But I believe that as a fellow Mutant, you won't harm us."

"Believe?" Eric sneered, the Magnetic Field fluctuations growing stronger.

Several metal fragments around him floated up: "Charles, it's precisely because you trust people too easily that you fall into danger time and again!"

"This Rorschach's background is too obscure and his strength unknown; we must drive him away or completely control him!"

"Eric, stop!" Charles quickly tried to dissuade him.

"If he really wanted to harm us, he wouldn't have stepped in to save Tom just now, let alone appeared here so openly."

"Tom is already injured; we can't have internal strife anymore."

A short-haired female Mutant in the base couldn't help but speak up, her tone a bit hesitant.

"Eric, Charles has a point. Tom does look quite pitiful."

"And Rorschach's performance just now didn't seem like one of Stryker's people; those soldiers wouldn't try to reason with you."

"Anna, what do you know!" Eric turned and scolded her.

"Stryker's methods are endless. If he's just putting on an act, all of us will end up in a shallow grave!"

Rorschach watched the two of them argue incessantly and spoke slowly: "I don't want to participate in your dispute, nor do I want to stay here and cause trouble."

"Give us a temporary place to stay. Once Tom's wound is healed, we will naturally leave and won't disturb you."

"No!" Eric refused flatly.

"Either you prove you're not an undercover agent, or you leave right now. There is no third choice!"

"How should I prove it?" Rorschach raised an eyebrow.

"By letting you attack me with metal? Or by letting Charlestry to probe my thoughts again?"

"I can tell you clearly: the latter, he will never be able to do; the former will only result in your own humiliation."

Charles quickly tried to smooth things over: "Rorschach, sorry, Eric is just being too cautious."

"How about this: you stay for now, but until we fully trust you, we will have people watch you. I hope you can understand."

"Whatever," Rorschach replied indifferently.

"As long as you don't disturb me, you can watch however you want."

"But I'm warning you, don't try to provoke me, or else, face the consequences."

Tom said in a low voice, "I... I won't cause trouble for you. I'll control my ability well and won't accidentally hurt anyone."

Charles smiled, his tone gentle: "Child, don't be nervous. Here, you can practice your ability with peace of mind. We will all help you."

"I'll take you to treat your wound first. After it's taken care of, I'll arrange a place for you to rest."

"Charles, are you really going to let them stay?" Ericfrowned, his tone still dissatisfied.

"Aren't you afraid this is a trap?"

"Eric, we can't reject all Mutants who need help just because we're cautious," Charles said firmly.

"Although Rorschach is mysterious, he hasn't shown any ill intent, and Tom is injured. We have no reason to drive them away."

"And besides, with one more powerful Mutant, our confidence will also grow a bit stronger."

Rorschach glanced at Eric and spoke calmly: "Don't worry, I have no interest in your grievances, and I won't become a burden to you."

"I'm just staying temporarily. Once my goal is achieved, I will naturally leave."

"What is your goal?" Eric pressed, his eyes still wary.

"You came specifically looking for us; it can't be as simple as just needing a temporary place to stay, right?"

Rorschach didn't answer directly, his tone merely flat: "Don't ask what you shouldn't ask."

"Mind your own business. Not disturbing each other is the best way to get along."

Seeing this, Charles quickly mediated: "Alright, Eric, stop pressing him."

"Rorschach has his own secrets, as do we all. As long as he doesn't harm us, there's no need to pry."

With that, Charles turned to Tom and said gently, "Child, let's go. I'll take you to treat your wound; don't let it get infected."

Tom nodded, then turned to Rorschach and said softly, "Mr. Rorschach, then I'll go with Charles to treat my wound."

"Go ahead," Rorschach replied indifferently.

His gaze fell on Charles and Eric: "Until you explicitly drive me away, I will remain here."

Eric snorted coldly and withdrew his surrounding Magnetic Field.

The floating metal fragments and nails all fell to the ground: "I'll be watching you. If there's any abnormality, I will strike immediately."

"I won't give you the chance to harm anyone!"

"Anytime," Rorschach's tone was flat, without any fear.

Charles shook his head helplessly, saying as he led Tomtoward the Barracks.

"Eric, don't be so impulsive; Rorschach, please be patient as well."

"We are all Mutants; we should be supporting each other, not being hostile toward one another."

Tom looked back at Rorschach and said softly, "Rorschach, I'll help explain things to them."

"You're really not an undercover agent; you're a good person."

Rorschach didn't respond, just standing quietly in place.

Watching their figures disappear into the Barracksentrance, a glint flashed in his eyes.

Eric still stared at him with hostile eyes, his tone cold: "Don't think that just because Charles took you in, you'll be safe and sound."

"Here, my word carries weight as well."

"I have no interest in playing some boring undercover game," Rorschach said calmly.

"I said, don't disturb each other. If you insist on looking for trouble, I won't be polite either."

The other Mutants in the base gathered around, whispering among themselves.

Some were curious about Rorschach's strength, some worried he was an undercover agent, and some pitied Tom's plight.

The entire base became both lively and tense because of the arrival of the two.

Rorschach knew that this first encounter at the base was just the first step in getting close to Charles and Eric.

Next, he would have to hide his true purpose amidst Eric's hostility and Charles's curiosity.

Waiting for the best opportunity to harvest the abilities of both.

And this game of trust and hostility had only just begun.

Chapter 59: Probing and Transfer

As the night deepened, the abandoned base fell into complete silence.

Most Mutants had already gone to sleep, with only a few dim streetlights illuminating the empty camp.

Rorschach found a barracks in a corner; he didn't sleep, but simply leaned against the wall with his eyes closed to rest.

He had long since sensed a cold gaze secretly watching him.

He didn't need to think to know it was Erik Lehnsherr.

Sure enough, before long, the faint sound of shifting metal quietly drifted over.

A cold smile curled at the corner of Rorschach's mouth; he kept his eyes closed, but used Telepathy to firmly lock onto the movements around him.

Several small metal fragments, under the cover of night and carrying a sharp wind, shot straight toward the back of his heart.

Eric eventually couldn't help himself and made a move late at night to test his strength.

The moment the metal fragments were about to touch his clothes, Rorschach's body shifted slightly to the side.

The movement was light and swift, as if he had predicted everything in advance, easily dodging the sudden attack.

The metal fragments hit the wall with a "clatter," sending up tiny sparks and breaking the silence of the night.

"You really do have some skills," Eric's voice came from the darkness, cold and tinged with a hint of vigilance.

He slowly stepped out of the shadows, the magnetic field around him fluctuating slightly, clearly intending to continue the probe.

Rorschach slowly opened his eyes and looked at him calmly, his tone flat: "A sneak attack in the middle of the night isn't very honorable, is it?"

"I just wanted to confirm exactly how much strength you have and whether you are truly worthy of Charles's trust," Eric said firmly.

As soon as he finished speaking, he waved his hand, and more metal fragments levitated, pointing at Rorschach.

Just as the two were about to fight, an anxious voice arrived just in time: "Eric, stop!"

Charles walked over quickly, a trace of helplessness on his face, as he stopped Eric and said:

"I told you, Rorschach has no ill intent. Why won't you just believe him?"

"I was just testing him!" Eric frowned, his tone still dissatisfied, but he nonetheless withdrew the magnetic field around him.

The levitating metal fragments fell to the ground one after another.

"Charles, you are too gullible. His strength is unfathomable; we cannot let our guard down."

Charles shook his head helplessly and turned to Rorschach, his tone gentle: "Rorschach, I'm sorry. Eric is just being too cautious."

"I apologize for disturbing your rest so late at night; please bear with us."

Rorschach shrugged indifferently, looking unconcerned: "No matter. I wasn't sleeping anyway."

"I just hope that the next time he tests me, he can be a bit more upfront and stop these sneaky little tricks."

Eric snorted coldly but didn't retort, only giving Rorschacha fierce glare.

"I'll be keeping an eye on you. If there's anything unusual, I won't show any mercy."

With that, he turned and left, his figure quickly vanishing into the night.

Charles sighed helplessly and gave Rorschach an apologetic smile: "Don't take it to heart. He's just been hurt too deeply by humans."

"Don't worry, I'm not that petty," Rorschach said calmly.

"I'm only staying here temporarily. I don't want to cause trouble, nor do I want to have a conflict with you."

Charles nodded and said nothing more, turning to leave the barracks, leaving Rorschach alone.

Rorschach leaned against the wall, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes.

Eric's hostility and Charles's gentleness were both within his expectations.

This probe instead made him more certain that Eric's Metal Ability was indeed worth harvesting.

The night passed without further incident. Early the next morning, just as dawn was breaking, the roar of an engine came from outside the base.

Everyone was woken by the noise and stepped out of their barracks, looking toward the base gate.

A black off-road vehicle slowly stopped at the gate. The door opened, and a woman in a sharp suit stepped out.

The woman had a tall, straight posture and sharp eyes, exuding the efficient aura of an agent.

"Moira? What are you doing here?" Charles's face immediately lit up with surprise upon seeing the woman, and he stepped forward quickly.

This woman was his old acquaintance, CIA agent Moira MacTaggert.

Moira smiled, her tone gentle yet professional: "Charles, it's been a long time."

"I'm here to bring you good news. The CIA has agreed to cooperate with Mutants to deal with the Missile Crisis."

At these words, everyone looked surprised, and Ericfrowned, his eyes wary.

"Can the CIA's word be trusted?" Eric spoke coldly, his tone full of disdain and suspicion.

"They weren't so polite when they were hunting Mutants before."

Moira wasn't angry; she simply said calmly, "Eric, I know you don't trust the CIA."

"But right now, the Missile Crisis is imminent. Humans and Mutants can only survive together through cooperation."

"To show our sincerity, the CIA has specially prepared a new residence for you, a secure training base."

Charles's eyes shifted, and he quickly asked, "A new residence? Where?"

"In the suburbs of New York. It's an abandoned research base with full facilities, enough for you to live and train," Moira said.

"And we have already gathered some other Mutants who are all waiting for you there. We need your help to train them."

Charles nodded, his tone firm: "Alright, we'll go with you."

Eric wanted to object, but Charles stopped him: "Eric, this is our chance—a chance for Mutants to be recognized."

Eric frowned, but in the end, he didn't say anything more, though his expression remained grim.

Soon, everyone packed their simple belongings and got into the vehicles Moira had brought, heading toward the New York suburbs.

Rorschach, with Tom, sat in the back row of the vehicle, calmly looking at the scenery outside the window.

He knew in his heart that a new base meant more Mutants and more opportunities to harvest abilities.

After driving for about two hours, the vehicles finally arrived at their destination—the research base in the New York suburbs.

It was far cleaner and safer than the abandoned military base, with spacious training grounds and complete living facilities, resembling a hidden manor.

On the base's open ground, five young people were already standing, looking at them curiously.

Moira stepped forward, pointed at the five people, and introduced them to Charles: "These are the Mutants we've gathered."

"This is Raven, codename Mystique. She has the Shapeshifting Ability and can turn into anyone."

Rorschach's gaze instantly locked onto the slender, beautiful woman.

Mystique! She has the Shapeshifting Ability, and she can even manifest clothes! A flash of excitement crossed Rorschach's eyes, and he was inwardly ecstatic.

This ability is far superior to my own transformation! With it, it's equivalent to having countless appearances. Taking this would definitely be a huge gain!

As the most affectionate man in the multiverse and a veteran of the dating scene, he immediately took a strong interest in Raven.

Moira continued the introductions: "This is Sean Cassidy, codename Banshee. He has super sonic attack abilities."

"This is Alex Summers, codename Havok. He can control lasers with incredible power."

"This is Armando, codename Darwin. He has super adaptation abilities and can adapt to any environment."

"This is Salvador, codename Angel. She has a pair of wings on her back, can fly, and can release toxic feathers."

Charles nodded and said gently to the five: "Welcome. From today on, we will train together and face the crisis together."

"I will help you master your abilities so that you are no longer confused or afraid because of them."

Soon, Charles arranged the training tasks and asked Eric to help train these Mutants.

Banshee was practicing sonic attacks, Havok was controlling lasers to shatter targets, and Darwin was adapting to extreme environments.

Angel spread her wings and circled above the training ground, her posture graceful.

Meanwhile, Raven was standing to the side, trying to change her appearance, turning into Moira one moment and Charles the next, with lifelike accuracy.

Chapter 60: Training and Ambiguity

Rorschach did not participate in the training; he simply walked straight to Raven, a gentle smile on his face.

"Your ability is truly amazing, isn't it? You can transform into anyone?"

Raven stopped shapeshifting and turned to look at Rorschach, her eyes showing a mix of wariness and curiosity: "Who are you?"

"My name is Rorschach, and I'm also a Mutant," Rorschachsaid with a smile. "Your ability is very special."

Raven scrutinized him, seeing his neat attire and assertive demeanor, and her wariness deepened. Her tone was cold: "My ability has nothing to do with you. Stay away from me."

With that, she turned to leave, but Rorschach gently stopped her.

Rorschach deliberately slowed his voice, a playful glint in his eyes: "Don't be in such a hurry to leave. I don't mean any harm."

"I'm just curious about your ability. If you were to transform into me, would it be impossible to tell who the real one is?"

Raven frowned, raising her hand to push him away, but her hand inadvertently touched Rorschach's wrist.

Rorschach paused slightly, not dodging, but instead gently clasped her hand—his palm was warm, his grip gentle yet with an undeniable sense of control that made Ravenstiffen.

"Don't be so resistant to me," Rorschach leaned in, his warm breath brushing Raven's ear. His tone lost some of its frivolity, replaced by a hint of seduction, "You're clearly curious about me too, aren't you?"

"Curious about my abilities, curious why I'm not afraid of Eric at all, curious about who I really am."

Raven's cheeks flushed slightly. She tried to pull her hand back, but Rorschach held it even tighter.

She looked up at Rorschach, the wariness in her eyes gradually fading, replaced by a hint of panic and a subtle, almost imperceptible flutter—this man was mysterious yet powerful, assertive yet gentle, like a poison that made her irresistibly want to get closer.

"I... I'm not curious." Raven turned her face away, her tone somewhat evasive, but her earlobes were so red they almost dripped blood. The strength of her struggle unconsciously weakened, and she no longer resisted.

Rorschach watched her contradictory expression, a playful smile on his lips, and slowly released her hand.

But he took the opportunity to raise his hand, his fingertips gently brushing her cheek, sliding from her brow bone to her jaw, his movements gentle yet with a hint of testing. "Being stubborn isn't pretty, Raven."

His fingertips were slightly cool. The moment they touched her skin, Raven couldn't help but flinch, her heart rate suddenly accelerating, even her breathing becoming rapid.

She could clearly smell the faint scent of cedar on Rorschach, mixed with a masculine assertiveness and wildness that made her somewhat lost in thought.

"Don't mess around..." Raven's voice was much weaker, devoid of its previous coldness, and instead carried a hint of coquetry. The panic in her eyes became even more apparent, yet she didn't take another step back.

Rorschach didn't push further. He simply withdrew his hand, his tone regaining some of its frivolity, but with added sincerity: "Don't worry, I won't force you."

"I just think that a beautiful girl like you shouldn't always be so cold, and shouldn't always be on guard against others."

After the training that day, the night was exceptionally deep. Most of the Mutants in the base were sound asleep, with only scattered streetlights casting faint glows in the darkness.

Raven tossed and turned, unable to sleep. She simply got up and went to the base's terrace for some air, only to find Rorschach there as well.

He leaned against the terrace railing, gazing at the distant night, his demeanor less frivolous than during the day, with an added touch of melancholy and mystery.

Hearing footsteps, he slowly turned his head. The moment he saw Raven, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, then quickly returned to a smile.

"Why aren't you asleep yet?" Rorschach asked, his tone much gentler, without the deliberate teasing of the day.

Raven walked over to him, leaning against the railing just as he was. After a moment of silence, she softly said, "I couldn't sleep, so I came out for some air. What about you? Can't sleep either?"

"I'm used to staying up late," Rorschach said with a smile.

"I'm thinking about some things, some things about this world, about abilities."

Raven turned to look at him, her eyes full of curiosity: "What exactly is your ability? I heard that Charles's Telepathy can't penetrate your defenses."

Rorschach didn't answer directly. He just turned to her and gently held her hand—this time, Raven didn't dodge, letting him hold it.

"My ability is quite special, and it's not convenient to elaborate," he said in a flat tone, with a hint of unapproachable aloofness, "However, as long as you know that I mean no harm and won't hurt you, that's enough."

"As for Charles's Telepathy not being able to penetrate my defenses, that's part of my ability."

Raven frowned slightly, her curiosity deepening, but she also saw that Rorschach didn't want to talk much, so she didn't press further, just nodded gently: "Okay, I won't ask."

"But you also have to promise me that no matter what your ability is, you won't use it to harm the people here."

Rorschach smiled, his fingertips gently caressing the back of her hand, his tone carrying a casual seriousness: "Don't worry, I'm not interested in harming others, especially a beauty like you."

He deliberately changed the subject, avoiding the core of his ability, but a profound glint flashed in his eyes—as long as their relationship progressed further, he could smoothly acquire her ability. There was no need to risk revealing his secret for a moment's gratification.

Raven's cheeks flushed at his words. Just as she was about to retort, Rorschach gently pressed his finger to her lips.

He leaned in, his forehead resting against hers, his gaze serious yet somewhat seductive: "Don't overthink it. I just feel very comfortable being with you, and I don't want to talk about boring ability topics."

Raven's heart raced uncontrollably again, her cheeks burning. She could clearly feel Rorschach's warm breath, the temperature of his palm, and the tenderness and seduction in his eyes.

She opened her mouth, looking at the handsome face before her, but no sound came out. Her defenses, at this moment, almost completely collapsed.
