Chapter 301: The New Postman - Deadpool
Morning in Westview was punctual to an infuriating degree.
Chu Hang, dressed in light gray loungewear, held a watering can, tending to the roses by the door.
At exactly eight o'clock, according to the script, the postman Dennis should have appeared around the corner on his rickety bicycle.
The corner was empty.
During last night's meal, Dennis had been stuffed into the Inner Universe by him to serve as the moon.
The role of the postman had remained vacant; sooner or later, the dream's sense of Reality would run into problems.
He needed to find a replacement.
Chu Hang set down the watering can, his consciousness crossing dimensions as he searched through countless parallel Universes.
An ordinary extra wouldn't do; the energy density in Westview was too high. A normal person wouldn't last half a day before turning into garbled code.
He needed an unlucky bastard with a fate tough enough to withstand being repeatedly kneaded by Chaos Magic.
In a certain parallel Universe, a guy in a red and black skintight suit was perched on a rooftop munching on a French burrito, muttering bad jokes about movie copyrights.
"You'll do."
Chu Hang reached into the void with his right hand.
The space beneath Deadpool's butt went empty, and he was yanked into a space-time tunnel before he even had a chance to complain.
When he opened his eyes again, Wade was standing on a street in Westview that was excessively clean.
The skintight suit was gone, replaced by a faded blue postman's uniform, his mailbag stuffed with newspapers.
"Hey! I was just discussing salaries with that guy who looks like Wolverine—"
He tried to turn toward the void for a monologue to break the fourth wall.
He couldn't move.
Chu Hang had walked up to him at some point, his gaze like one looking at a pet.
A universal-level conceptual power pressed down on Wade's Soul, so heavy he could barely breathe.
"Here, there is no narration, and there are no audiences."
Chu Hang patted his shoulder.
"Only work."
The Alchemy Law and Law of Spirit operated simultaneously, washing the complaints and quips from Wade's mind until only one command remained: love your work, stay silent.
Wade's restless mouth twitched, and finally, he squeezed out a professional smile and bowed deeply:
"Good morning, Mr. Anthony. Your newspaper has arrived."
Chu Hang took the paper and turned to walk inside, satisfied.
Wade mounted the creaking bicycle and began his first day as a model employee.
Chu Hang pushed open the door; Wanda was standing in the center of the living room, clutching a piece of floral wallpaper she had just torn off.
Crimson light flickered at her fingertips, and those cozy patterns were kneaded into distorted blurs by magic.
"Anthony, you're back."
Her abdomen had bulged a bit more than moments ago.
"What's wrong? Didn't you just pick this wallpaper last week?"
"I don't like it anymore."
Wanda's brow furrowed.
"It's too light, thin as paper. Everything in this house makes me uncomfortable; it's too fragile to support the baby."
Chu Hang felt the singularity of laws within her body throbbing violently.
The little fellow who hadn't been born yet had lost interest in this simple suburban house and craved a more substantial existence.
"You want to change the style?"
"I want to make this place sturdier."
Wanda murmured, her eyes flashing with crimson sparks.
"It should be like a temple, with the kind of weight that can exist for Eternity."
"No problem."
Chu Hang stood in the center of the living room, the laws of the Inner Universe vibrating gently.
The white wooden walls began to undergo a qualitative change, the wood fibers reorganizing into hard white marble, with golden cloud patterns spreading across the stone's surface.
The ceiling extended upward, turning into a dome painted with celestial myths.
Ordinary furniture elongated and reshaped, becoming gem-encrusted thrones and chaises.
The change didn't stop inside the house.
The asphalt on the street flipped over to become gold-leafed stone slabs.
The neighbors' houses rose from the ground, their sharp spires piercing the clouds.
Within minutes, the entire street transformed from an ordinary town into an Asgardian architectural complex.
"Is this better?"
Wanda reached out to touch the cold marble pillars, her agitation finally subsiding.
"Yes, this is how a home should look."
Outside the window, Mrs. Hart passed by walking her poodle, looking up at the golden spires with a fanaticism corrected by the laws.
"Oh, Anthony! Your home renovation this time is so avant-garde! A combination of classicism and postmodernism, it's simply the pride of all Westview!"
"Thank you, Mrs. Hart. Wanda has been into the retro style lately."
"This isn't retro, this is a miracle!"
Her dog was urinating against a stone pillar carved with runes.
The little fellow in Wanda's womb quieted down.
Chu Hang felt that rule singularity greedily absorbing the solidified Reality energy, even letting out a faint burp deep within his consciousness.
This child's adaptability to the aura of nothingness was even stronger than expected.
It seemed he was destined not to be a quiet one in the future.
But it didn't matter, as long as Wanda was happy.
Agatha crouched by the kitchen sink, wiping a gold-rimmed porcelain plate.
She, a grand dark Witch who had lived for centuries, now found her greatest daily consumption of magic was removing grease from plates.
The rules set by Chu Hang were like invisible shackles; the moment she harbored any crooked thoughts, the black magic at her fingertips would backfire, hurting so much she would burst into tears.
Through the window, she saw the new postman cycling past.
The guy wasn't particularly handsome and looked cramped in the neat uniform, but his cycling posture was eerie, as if every muscle was rebelling against the clothes.
She had seen all the puppets of Westview, but this new face gave her a sense of unusual chaotic aura.
She dropped the rag and, while Chu Hang was in the backyard with Wanda looking at flowers, slipped out the back door to hide behind the rose bushes.
Wade was stuffing a newspaper into Anthony's mailbox, his movements as standard as a model student from an etiquette school, but the eyes visible beneath his hat were twitching incessantly.
Chu Hang's laws had built high walls in his mind, but the countless insane personalities hidden within his disfigured body were digging holes at the base of those walls.
"Hey, pal."
Agatha lowered her voice.
Wade turned, a hair-raising professional smile plastered on his face:
"Good morning, esteemed resident. Are there any dissatisfactions with today's delivery service? Or perhaps you'd like to subscribe to a weekly magazine on how to maintain mental balance under high-dimensional pressure?"
Agatha froze for a moment.
These lines didn't sound like something a normal postman would say.
She leaned in and whispered a string of ancient words:
"The black goat whispers at midnight, the sisters in the Shadow await the return."
This was a code for the witches' coven, used to test if the other party was lucid.
Wade tilted his head, his neck letting out a crisp crack.
His eyes struggled for a second before returning to a dead-fish-like calm:
"Oh, you mean that livestock breeding advertisement flyer? My apologies, it's currently lying in a trash can in some parallel Universe. However, I have a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for Mexican burritos here. Although you might not find a redemption point in this temple-style community, holding it might make you feel a certain warmth from beyond the fourth wall."
"What nonsense are you talking about?"
Agatha grew anxious and grabbed Wade's sleeve.
"Listen, I'm Agatha, I'm a Witch! This place is wrong, that man named Anthony is a monster! You were caught and brought in by him too, weren't you?"
Wade's mouth twitched, as if two little people were fighting in his head.
One shouted: Tell her quickly, our salary is calculated by the second!
The other shouted: Shut up and deliver your newspapers!
Ultimately, he politely brushed off Agatha's hand:
"Ma'am, I think you might be suffering from severe postpartum depression, even though you aren't the one pregnant. Mr. Anthony is the most generous employer; he gave me this job and waived all my medical insurance—because he said I can't die anyway."
Agatha was so angry she wanted to bang her head against a wall.
This guy's logic was like Lego bricks that had been shredded and put back together; he looked like a person, but inside he was all garbled code.
Wade mounted his bicycle:
"By the way, today's front page is quite interesting. Although the words on it are dancing around, I think I saw a blonde babe with a hammer on her way. Have a pleasant time washing dishes."
He whistled as he glided away.
Agatha looked down; at some point, a crumpled ball of paper had appeared at her feet.
She picked it up and found it wasn't a coupon, but a crooked doodle—a little man in a red and black skintight suit was flipping the bird at a giant, glowing golden butt.
"Agatha, what are you doing there?"
Her whole body stiffened, and the paper ball turned to ash.
Turning around, Chu Hang was standing on the porch, holding a pot of freshly pruned flowers with a composed expression.
"I... I just wanted to ask the postman if there was any mail for me."
Chu Hang walked over and placed the flower pot in her hands:
"Here, everyone has their place. Your place is by the sink, and his place is on the road. Don't disturb an employee who loves his work, understood?"
A warm force of law spread through her body from her fingertips.
It was a warning, but also a gift.
Agatha clutched the heavy stone flower pot and scurried back to the kitchen like a frightened quail.
Chu Hang watched her back, then glanced at the blue figure disappearing around the corner.
He naturally knew what Wade was up to, but he didn't care.
A little harmless chaos actually made this World feel more real.
What community doesn't have a few oddballs with loose screws?
When he went upstairs, Wanda was leaning by the window reading the newspaper.
"Anthony, the paper says it will be good weather today."
Chu Hang wrapped his arms around her from behind:
"As long as you like it, every day is good weather."
On the front page of the newspaper, the photo that originally showed the weather forecast was quietly changing.
A burly figure clad in heavy armor and holding a battle-axe was racing through a rainbow-colored light.
The little fellow in Wanda's womb sensed the kindred energy and emitted a more violent vibration.
It was a craving.
An elemental craving to chew up and swallow all external energy.
Chu Hang felt the vibration from his palm, and his smile deepened.
It seemed the ingredients for dinner were about to increase again.
"Go take a nap, dear."
Chu Hang kissed Wanda's forehead.
"When you wake up, perhaps an old friend will come to visit."
Wanda nodded obediently and walked toward the white-gold bed with his support.
She didn't see Agatha hiding in the kitchen shadows, staring fixedly at the sky outside the window, her eyes revealing a near-manic hope.
Chu Hang stood by the window, watching the entire street grow increasingly sacred and quiet in the afternoon sun.
The peace of this dream would soon be broken, but he was in no hurry to mend it.
A World for two was too lonely; with a few more actors, the play would be more interesting.
He snapped his fingers.
On the distant horizon, outside the red barrier of Westview, a layer of heavy dark clouds was crossing dimensions.
The electrical charge in the air rose sharply.
It was the precursor to the descent of the Bifrost Bridge.
Chapter 302: Neighbor Thor and His Big Iron Hammer
Outside Westview, a rainbow-colored pillar of light, like a spear of divine punishment, violently struck the scarlet dimensional barrier shrouding the town.
In the center of the light pillar, Thor's golden hair danced wildly, and his eyes were blood-red. He gripped stormbreaker tightly; the six Infinity Stones on the axe blade pulsed with chaotic light as he repeatedly detonated their majestic energy, attempting to pry open a crack in this perfect cage.
He had been hacking away here for three whole hours.
Carrying ten thousand tons of thunder and the cosmic power of the stones, the axe fell once more with resolute force.
"Boom—!"
Thunder and Chaos Magic collided fiercely, forcefully tearing a fleeting rift in the red barrier.
Without hesitation, Thor turned into a bolt of lightning and plunged inside.
The moment he crossed the barrier, the World began to spin. The surrounding scenery twisted and dissolved like an oil painting dropped into water. The golden spires of Asgard, the majestic single eye of his father Odin, his mother's loving smile... these memories etched deep within his Soul were being forcibly washed away and erased by an irresistible force.
Thor roared, trying to struggle, but his body felt as if it were being poured into a mold of molten iron; his bones, muscles, and even his divinity were being forcibly reshaped.
Before his consciousness sank completely into darkness, he saw a man standing across the street.
The man was wearing ordinary loungewear, gently holding the hand of a heavily pregnant red-haired woman. He watched him quietly, a faint smile playing on his lips.
That gaze was terrifyingly indifferent, as if looking at an ant that happened to be passing by and was about to be stepped on.
It was Chu Hang.
Thor wanted to roar that name, but his lips remained motionless as if sewn shut.
The next second, he fell completely into endless darkness.
Chu Hang withdrew his gaze and patted the back of Wanda's hand reassuringly. Just now, he had completely read and sealed away Thor's memories.
The outside World was temporarily stable. Clark had brought back the others. As the Silver Superman, he was currently feared by the Anti-Monitor. Although it might just be the calm before the storm, at least for now, the Multiverse was peaceful.
"Once the baby is born, Wanda should recover. Until then, Thor... just stay here quietly for a few days."
Chu Hang thought to himself.
Conveniently, a new gym had opened in Westview, and it lacked a star attraction to draw a crowd... At a Westviewintersection.
A muscular blond man was looking around blankly.
He wore a white tank top stretched tight by his pectorals and biceps, a pair of flip-flops on his feet, and he gripped a massive, exaggeratedly shaped black dumbbell with effort.
On one end of the dumbbell, a line of text was scrawled in white paint: 1000KG.
Thor looked down at this hunk of iron, his brow furrowed. He felt... its shape hadn't always been like this. The feel was wrong, too; it should be sharper, fitting better in his palm.
"Hey, newcomer?"
A guy in a mailman uniform glided up to him on a beat-up bicycle, casually stuffed a flyer into his arms, and chewed on a taco.
"Welcome to the perfect Westview. I'm Dennis, but you can call me Wade—the most dedicated mailman around here."
Thor instinctively took the flyer. It had "Nordic Power Gym" printed in large letters, accompanied by a silhouette of a muscular man holding up a dumbbell.
"This is... my shop?" He pointed at the flyer, then at himself.
"What else?" Wade rolled his eyes. "Man, you're standing at the street corner carrying a one-ton dumbbell and contemplating life. You can't be trying to do some kind of performance art, right?"
Thor instinctively hefted the dumbbell. The heavy weight gave him a sense of grounding, but the awkward feeling that "this thing should be more comfortable to hold" grew stronger.
"Seriously, your physique is quite something." Wadepedaled his bike, getting ready to leave, then turned back to shout, "Way better than that movie actor. He needs special effects just to lift a hammer, but yours is a real-deal dumbbell. Practical!"
Thor stood there, stunned.
Hammer?
A blurry image flashed through his mind like lightning: a silver short-handled warhammer, flickering with lightning and engraved with ancient runes.
The image vanished instantly, followed by a slight sting.
He shook his head, tossing the inexplicable thought aside. Now, only one clear command remained in his mind: The gym opens today; don't be late.
He shouldered the dumbbell with one hand, his flip-flops making a crisp "patter, patter" sound on the stone road.
At the corner of the intersection, he ran into a couple out for a stroll.
"Hello." The man stopped of his own accord, his smile gentle and friendly. "You're the new fitness coach? I'm Anthony, and this is my wife, Wanda."
Thor nodded, his gaze falling on the man. For some reason, seeing this smiling face quietly triggered a dormant alarm deep within him, causing an instinctive sense of wariness to arise.
"Nice dumbbell." Chu Hang's gaze fell on the massive hunk of iron, and he commented with interest, "One ton? If you're just a coach, I'm afraid this weight might be a bit light."
Thor opened his mouth to retort but found he had nothing to say.
Carrying the dumbbell, he walked silently through three streets, finally stopping in front of a shop with a "Nordic Power" sign.
Entering the shop, the smell of fresh renovations hit him. The walls were covered with giant posters of Norse mythology: there was Odin, the All-Father with one eye; Loki, the God of Mischief; and another... of himself—stepping on thunder, holding a warhammer, looking majestic.
The moment he saw that poster, Thor's heart twitched violently, and his temples throbbed as if a bolt of lightning had exploded in his skull. An indescribable mix of sadness and anger, combined with a massive sense of dissonance, made him feel almost nauseous.
"Boss, you're finally here!" A small front-desk clerk named Daryl jogged over and handed him a registration form, interrupting his daze.
"I... am the boss?" Thor pointed at his nose, the confusion in his eyes deepening.
"Of course! Who else in the whole town could handle that one-ton big guy at the door?" Daryl pointed to the appointment schedule. "We already have bookings for today. The owner of the flower shop next door wants to work on her legs, and Mr. Anthony is bringing his wife for prenatal yoga."
Thor's brow furrowed. "I know how to teach that?"
"You're the most professional coach in town."
Just as he finished speaking, the glass door was pushed open again.
Chu Hang walked in, leading Wanda. He had changed into a light blue Polo shirt, looking like any well-to-do, considerate middle-class husband.
"I heard your dumbbells here are one ton?" Chu Hang's gaze flickered between Thor and the dumbbell on his shoulder, a hint of amusement in his eyes.
Thor instinctively puffed out his chest. "Yes."
"Only one ton?" Chu Hang shook his head with mock regret. "I have a landscape stone in my backyard, about two tons, and I use it to warm up every morning."
Thor was completely stunned. He thought the man must be bragging, but his matter-of-fact expression left Thorwith no evidence to refute him.
"Honey, stop teasing him." Wanda laughed and lightly patted Chu Hang's arm.
Thor didn't respond; he just stared intently into Chu Hang's eyes, the instinctive premonition of danger from a warrior growing ever stronger.
Suddenly, the dumbbell on his shoulder vibrated very slightly.
The vibration was extremely subtle, yet it felt like an electric current coursing through his body. Thor clearly felt that the six primal energies sealed within the dumbbell were experiencing a resonant throb toward some higher level of power.
At the same time, Wanda's footsteps paused slightly. She could feel the town's Reality boundaries producing a faint ripple of instability due to the agitation of this external force.
The smile on Chu Hang's face didn't change, but his eyes turned cold in an instant.
The power of the Infinity Stones was creating direct energy interference with Wanda's Chaos Magic.
This was not a good sign; it would affect the stability of Westview.
His palm moved imperceptibly, and a layer of invisible law barriers instantly enveloped the dumbbell on Thor's shoulder, crudely cutting off that resonance.
The vibration stopped abruptly.
Thor shook his shoulder blankly and looked down at the dumbbell again, thinking he was hallucinating muscle spasms from carrying it too long.
"Start your business early." Like a helpful neighbor, Chu Hang reached out and patted Thor's thick shoulder. "Opening day is busy. If you have any trouble, feel free to come to us anytime."
Thor nodded numbly and walked into the gym, carrying the dumbbell.
Chu Hang gazed at his somewhat simple-looking back and sighed silently in his heart.
Turning a God-King comrade into a fitness coach was indeed a bit unscrupulous. But Westview was the only harbor Wanda had built with her dreams; any factor that could lead to instability had to be suppressed in its infancy.
Thor was too strong—strong enough to threaten the foundation of this World. So, he could only be wronged for now, acting as a simple-minded muscle-head.
"Anthony, what are you thinking about?" Wanda asked softly.
"I'm thinking that once the baby is born, it might be nice to hire him as a bodyguard."
"Him? He looks a bit silly."
The two shared a smile and walked hand-in-hand toward the yoga room.
At the street corner, Wade the mailman slowly cycled out and stuffed another advertising flyer into the gym's mailbox.
In the corner of the flyer, a line of crooked small words was written in pencil:
"Hammer becomes a dumbbell, Thor becomes a coach. Who on earth wrote this crappy script? Bad review, definitely a bad review!"
Chapter 303: The Birth of the Second Son
At high noon, the sky over Westview turned a deep, dark red without warning, like a massive piece of blood-colored velvet, sealing out both sunlight and hope.
Chu Hang stood before the second-floor window, quietly gazing at the eerie sky, the ominous hue casting a faint reflection in his deep eyes.
This was not his doing. An older, grander malice was knocking at the gates of this false World.
Behind him, a suppressed groan interrupted his thoughts.
Wanda gripped the bedsheets tightly, her knuckles turning a deathly pale from the excessive force. Crimson Chaos Magic, like an out-of-control tide, radiated outward from her in ripples, causing the plaster on the walls to flake and fall, while the air grew thick with the searing heat of energy overload.
Labor had begun three full weeks early.
Chu Hang strode to the bedside, his broad palm covering Wanda's cold hand, while his other hand pressed gently against her high, swollen abdomen. His perception seeped in like liquid silver, instantly capturing the source of the frenzy—the fetus within was struggling wildly, its vast Chaos Magic battering against the mother's natural restraints like a young beast desperate to break free from its cage.
Almost in the same instant, Chu Hang identified the culprit.
"Thor..."
His gaze pierced through layers of falsehood, landing on the Nordic Power Gym in town.
The God of Thunder, whom he had brainwashed into thinking of nothing but muscles and protein, was currently carrying a custom dumbbell weighing a ton—disguised from stormbreaker and the six Infinity Stones—performing a hellish squat training session.
The thousandth squat. That energy resonance, containing divine Asgardian power and the essence of the Universe, acted like an invisible sledgehammer, precisely shattering the weakest link in the law barriers Chu Hang had set up. The resulting ripples directly stimulated the unformed Life, which was extremely sensitive to energy.
"This guy with nothing but muscle in his head," Chu Hangcursed in a low voice, though his tone carried a hint of helplessness.
Outside the window, the anomaly was intensifying.
The figures of pedestrians on the street began to turn blurry and transparent, then decomposed into countless flickering noise points, like the image on an old television with a bad signal. Westview, this dreamscape constructed from Wanda's grief and Chaos Magic, had its foundations shaken.
The intense pain meant Wanda could no longer maintain the stability of the illusion.
At the same time, the void node hidden beneath the town's clock tower—the floodgate Chu Hang had been using to stabilize and absorb excess energy—now acted like a Greed-driven beast awakened by the scent of blood, frantically devouring the Chaos Magic leaking from Wanda.
It was waiting for this moment, when Wanda was at her weakest and a new god was about to be born.
Chu Hang's gaze suddenly turned cold and sharp. He leaned down, gently wiping the cold sweat from the corner of Wanda's forehead.
"Don't be afraid, I'm here." His voice was steady and powerful, like a stabilizing anchor.
Wanda struggled to open her eyes, her beautiful eyes already filled with boiling crimson flames. She squeezed out an extremely weak smile: "Anthony... our child..."
"He's very strong, just a bit impatient, like his father." Chu Hang tightened his grip on her hand, slowly channeling a peaceful Law of Life force into her body.
Meanwhile, inside the Nordic Power Gym.
In Thor's mind, only the monotonous cycle of squatting down and standing up remained.
However, when the sky was dyed blood-red, his mechanical movements came to a screeching halt. He felt a throb from the depths of his Soul, as if something important was awakening.
The heavy black iron bar on his shoulders began to tremble violently, emitting an ominous hum. A blinding bolt of golden lightning exploded from within him without warning, instantly blowing the roof off the entire gym!
The flood of memories smashed through the false dam.
The magnificent Asgard, his majestic father Odin, his gentle mother Frigga, and Loki's face that always carried three parts cunning and seven parts punchability... scene after scene, voice after voice, accompanied by endless sorrow and regret, crashed into his mind.
He wasn't some fitness coach.
He was the son of Odin, the King of Asgard, the God of Thunder—Thor.
"Chu Hang—!"
Thor let out a roar toward the sky mixed with helplessness. The dumbbell in his hand disintegrated in the violent electric light, restructuring into that stormbreaker, the symbol of destruction and rebirth.
On the axe blade, the light of the six Infinity Stones lit up in sequence, reflecting each other. He stared fixedly at the two-story house at the end of the street, his gaze complicated to the extreme.
On the other side, Wade Wilson, dressed as a mailman, fell onto the sidewalk along with his bike. The mental wall Chu Hang had personally built in his mind to block his big mouth collapsed.
"Whoo-hoo! I can finally talk!" He ripped off his blue mailman uniform, revealing the flashy red-and-black skintight suit underneath. He hopped up with a kip-up and shouted at the empty street: "Hey, audience friends over there! Yes, you, the one staring at the screen! Do you know what kind of inhumane torture it is to make a chatterbox shut up for ninety full pages of manuscript? I almost started talking to my Leftie and Rightie!"
He exaggeratedly drew his twin pistols and fired two shots, "Bang bang," at the massive black hand that was slowly emerging from the void and blotting out the sky.
The bullets fruitlessly passed through the non-corporeal black mist and vanished without a trace.
"Well, I did my best."
Wade shrugged and blew on the smoke from his gun barrels. "Lunchtime." In the kitchen, Agatha Harkness, who was washing dishes, felt her hand shake, and a plate fell into the sink with a "clatter."
The impact of her memories returning turned her face pale, but she just silently picked up the plate and continued to mechanically scrub it.
She looked up out the window at the giant hand radiating the aura of the end of the Universe and wisely chose to continue being a harmless neighbor.
In a fight between gods of that level, a little Witch like her, who had been stripped down to a mortal, wouldn't even count as cannon fodder if she approached.
When Chu Hang appeared at the window again, the giant hand had already pressed down to the roof, its massive shadow completely swallowing the entire house.
The air was thick with an "anti-existence" aura that caused all things to wither and laws to tremble.
The Anti-Monitor. This ancient monster that fed on devouring the Multiverse had ultimately been attracted by the aura of the new god's birth. Wanda's child, a perfect combination of Chaos Magic and the essence of the void, was an unprecedentedly excellent vessel for Him.
Chu Hang's figure vanished from the spot, and in the next instant, he appeared atop the giant hand.
He no longer suppressed his aura, which was as vast as a sea of stars. Space, time, power, Life, Death... a full fourteen primal laws of the Universe wove into brilliant bands of light and deep shadows around him, causing the void beneath his feet to distort.
"Begone."
A cold word, devoid of any emotion. Chu Hang raised his hand, and in his palm, a sphere of light woven from black and white, constantly annihilating and constantly creating, quietly condensed.
[Existence Displacement]
The light sphere lightly struck the giant hand. There was no earth-shattering explosion, only a deathly silence. The sky-blotting giant hand was like a pencil drawing being forcefully rubbed out by an eraser; starting from the fingertips, the concept of its existence was forcibly erased, rapidly turning into absolute nothingness.
However, the giant hand did not instantly collapse as expected. A purer, more tyrannical will of destruction came from the depths of the void, actually managing to briefly resist the erosion of the laws.
"The vessel... is mine..."
A cold, grand thought rang directly in Chu Hang's mind, filled with unquestionable Greed.
A cold arc curled at the corner of Chu Hang's mouth. He slowly pressed his hands together, and in an instant, a domain composed of pure golden law runes expanded from him as the center, enveloping the entire Westviewand completely freezing all the false illusions.
"My woman is giving birth," his voice resounded through this frozen time and space, "even if the King of Heaven himself shows up, he'll have to wait for me."
As his voice fell, he suddenly waved his hand. The Law of Destruction was no longer an invisible force, but condensed into a spear as pitch-black as night, seemingly capable of devouring all light. Carrying absolute entropy and termination, it ruthlessly pierced through the wrist of the giant hand!
This time, there was no more resistance.
The giant hand shattered inch by inch amidst a shrill roar, completely dissipating into black mist. The void node beneath the clock tower also overloaded, collapsing entirely after a dull wail.
Chu Hang's figure returned to the bedroom as if he had never left.
And at this very moment, a clear and high-pitched cry of a baby resounded through the entire town.
The cry was like an invisible sharp sword, piercing through the dark red sky. Everywhere the sound passed, everything false—streets, houses, pedestrians—shattered and peeled away like glass in the face of this first "real" sound.
The eggshell of Westview was broken.
Chu Hang held a newborn baby boy in his arms. The child's skin was so fair it was nearly transparent, and there was a tuft of adorable pale golden fuzz on his head.
Within his body, two diametrically opposed supreme powers were slowly flowing: the Chaos Magic belonging to Wanda, and the void essence that Chu Hang had swallowed and refined. These two powers reached a strange and perfect balance in his tiny body.
Wanda weakly opened her eyes, her gaze first falling on the child, then looking toward Chu Hang with a hint of uncertainty and supplication.
"He's real, right?"
"Yes, Wanda," Chu Hang carefully placed the child in the crook of her arm, his voice incredibly gentle, "he is more real than anything else in this World."
Outside the window, the red barrier completely dissipated. The fictional town vanished, replaced by the familiar silhouette and green lawn of the Avengers Base.
Thor stood in the yard carrying stormbreaker, looking over with a complicated expression.
Wade was squatting in a corner not far away, devouring a burrito he had found from who-knows-where, as if no one else were around.
"Give him a name." Chu Hang said softly.
Wanda was silent for a long time, her gaze never leaving the tiny Life in her arms, her face overflowing with an unprecedented, holy maternal glow.
"Arthur," she murmured softly, "let's call him Arthur."
As if responding to his mother's call, the baby named Arthur slowly opened his eyes.
They were a pair of crimson pupils exactly like Wanda's, pure and beautiful.
Chapter 304: Jarvis Arthur
A flash of red light, and three figures appeared out of thin air on the lawn of the Avengers Base.
Chu Hang held a baby in swaddling clothes, while Wanda, beside him, was pale but her eyes gazed tenderly at the newborn in her arms.
Tony Stark's hand, holding a coffee cup, froze in mid-air, the amber liquid nearly spilling out. Steve subconsciously tensed his muscles and gripped the shield by his side.
Only Thor, the God of Thunder, with a dark face, strode over with stormbreaker in hand, each step seemingly trampling a deep pit into the lawn.
"Chu Hang." His voice was as low as rolling thunder. "Westview, that damn fitness coach. Can you explain?"
In Thor's mind, images of himself carrying dumbbells for squats while being kindly mocked by neighbors filled his thoughts with humiliation.
"And that one-ton dumbbell," he said, almost through gritted teeth, "that was my fucking stormbreaker!"
Chu Hang looked down at the quiet baby in his arms, then looked up to meet Thor's furious gaze, and actually laughed. "I just became a father, give me some face?"
"No," Thor's answer was categorical.
"Wait," Tony finally recovered from his shock, pointing his finger back and forth between the baby and Wanda, "You two... when did this happen?"
"You don't need to know everything, Stark," Chu Hang said flatly.
Tony was left speechless by the remark.
Steve stepped forward, bypassing Thor, his gaze falling gently and with concern on Wanda. "Wanda, are you okay?"
Wanda shook her head slightly, then nodded, her voice a bit weak but carrying a hint of newborn joy. "I'm fine, Captain. Just... a little tired. But seeing him, it's all worth it." As she spoke, she reached out and gently stroked the edge of the swaddling clothes.
"She just went through a great battle and then gave birth; she needs rest." Chu Hang's tone was casual, but the unquestionable authority in it made everyone quiet down.
Thor's anger dissipated slightly, but he remained unwilling to let it go. "You at least have to give me a reasonable explanation."
Chu Hang sighed and casually pulled a shimmering Golden Apple from his pocket and tossed it over. "A product of my Inner Universe; its energy is purer than that of your Asgard. Eat it, and your divine power will increase by twenty percent."
Thor caught it subconsciously, stunned by the Golden Apple's warm touch and the surging vitality it emitted.
He took a large bite suspiciously, and instantly, a warm current of pure energy surged through his entire body.
"Tastes... not bad," he mumbled indistinctly. "Fine, I'll forgive you for now."
Tony's mouth twitched violently. "It's that simple?"
"This apple is really delicious," Thor said righteously as he took another bite.
Just then, a red-and-black figure came scrambling out of the nearby ruins, howling at the top of his lungs, "I can talk! I can finally fucking talk!"
Deadpool Wade spun around three times on the spot and then came to a sliding stop in front of everyone.
"Making a chatterbox shut up is crueler than cutting him into seventeen or eighteen pieces! You guys have no idea, this lord here," he pointed at Chu Hang, "was a model husband in Westview! Making breakfast, fixing pipes, watching family dramas with his wife!"
Steve's expression became a bit Strange. "Fixing pipes?"
"Yes! He even roasted chicken! That aroma was incredible!" Wade gestured exaggeratedly. "I squatted at his doorstep every day to catch a whiff, like some kind of creep! Oh right, he also said a two-ton rock in the backyard was for warming up; I saw him lift it with one hand with my own eyes!"
Chu Hang looked at him expressionlessly. "You talk too much."
Wade ignored him, his gaze instantly drawn to the baby in the swaddling clothes, his eyes lighting up. "Oh oh oh! A mini Chu Hang! Let Uncle Deadpool have a look!"
He excitedly reached out, wanting to pinch the baby's chubby cheeks.
However, his hand stopped abruptly a few centimeters away from the baby.
An invisible and absolute force pinned him firmly in place, unable to move even a finger. The smile on Wade's face froze, his mouth wide open, but he couldn't make a sound, like a duck being throttled, his eyes filled with terror and confusion.
In the swaddling clothes, baby Arthur opened a pair of clear crimson eyes and was quietly watching him.
"Interesting." Chu Hang looked down at his son, the corners of his mouth curling into a playful arc. "It seems he doesn't like you."
Tony stepped forward, a series of data streams flashing across the lenses of his smart glasses. "This child's energy fluctuations are very peculiar; they don't belong to Chaos Magic, nor are they your Law Power."
"Void Origin," Chu Hang uttered two words calmly. "When he was born, he chose and absorbed a portion of it himself."
"Void Origin?" Strange, who had just arrived, had a change in expression. "The power of the Anti-Monitor? You let a newborn absorb something like that?"
"He chose it himself."
Strange clearly didn't believe it. His hands formed complex mudras, and a golden magic circle took shape in his palm. He cautiously approached Arthur, attempting to investigate.
However, as soon as the magic circle drew near, it distorted and collapsed silently, finally being 'pinched' into an insignificant point of light before disappearing completely.
Strange took a step back, his face looking extremely grim. "Impossible... my magic... was erased from the concept layer?"
"Let me try." Tony separated a piece of liquid nano-material from his armor and let it hover above the baby. "Jarvis, full-spectrum scan."
Arthur looked curiously at the silver metal that was constantly changing shape and reached out a chubby little hand.
In the next second, the nano-material stopped scanning and began to violently distort and reorganize. A few seconds later, it turned into an exquisite, glowing mechanical rattle, automatically shaking in mid-air and emitting a crisp, pleasant 'tinkle' sound.
Seeing this, Arthur giggled.
Tony's expression froze completely, his voice dry. "That was my Mark 85 armor spare nano-material, worth thirty million dollars."
"Now it's a rattle." Chu Hang's tone actually carried a hint of fatherly pride. "It looks quite nice."
"Nice?" Tony's voice rose an octave. "He turned my cutting-edge technology into a primitive toy!"
"You should feel honored," Chu Hang said. "It shows he likes you."
Tony opened his mouth, finding himself unable to refute.
"How did he do it?" Steve looked at the still-glowing rattle, his expression incredibly complex.
"Conceptual Recomposition," Chu Hang explained. "In his cognition, that piece of metal should be a fun toy that makes noise, so it became a toy."
"Abilities at the concept layer level..." Strange's voice was extremely strained. "He was born standing at the finish line that most of us can't reach in a lifetime."
Everyone fell silent, and the atmosphere became somewhat heavy for a moment.
Thor finished the last bite of the apple and asked indistinctly, "So... is he stronger than me now?"
"In terms of potential," Chu Hang said softly, looking at his sleeping son, "he is stronger than all of us."
Thor was silent for a while, threw away the apple core, and said seriously, "Then I want another apple."
Just then, a top-level red alert suddenly sounded inside the Base, its sharp buzzing piercing the brief silence.
Nathaniel Richards came scrambling out of the lab, his face as pale as paper. "Mr. Chu Hang! The Kang's Legacy database has detected violent Multiverse anomaly fluctuations!"
"What anomaly?"
"It's... it's the Anti-Monitor!" Nathaniel panted, pulling up a massive holographic projection. "That hand you severed... it didn't completely perish! It's self-replicating and mutating, turning into a... a virus!"
"A virus?" Tony's brows furrowed.
"An unprecedented Multiverse virus!" Nathaniel pointed at the projection, where several coordinates representing parallel Worlds were rapidly dimming and turning gray at a visible rate. "It's eroding adjacent realities, forcibly transforming all Life forms into..." He paused, seemingly searching for the right word.
"Anti-Monitor's puppets, or rather, zombies," Chu Hangsaid it for him.
Nathaniel nodded heavily, his face turning even paler.
Chu Hang gazed at the spreading Gray Plague, then looked down at Arthur, who was playing with the rattle, and his eyes grew deep.
"Interesting," he whispered to himself. "It seems that strike of mine caused some unforeseen side effects."
"This is no time for jokes!" Tony analyzed with a grave expression. "At this rate of erosion, in three days at most, the virus will completely consume at least seventeen parallel Worlds!"
"And then?" Chu Hang asked.
"Then all the Life energy of those Worlds will become nourishment for the Anti-Monitor to break through dimensions!" Nathaniel's voice trembled with fear.
Steve stepped forward, his voice steady and firm. "We must stop it."
"Of course we have to stop it." Chu Hang nodded unexpectedly, then changed the subject. "But not right now."
"What do you mean?" Strange frowned.
Chu Hang carefully handed Arthur to Wanda. Wandaimmediately held him tightly, using her own body to shieldthe child from the outside disturbance.
"I've just become a father," Chu Hang looked at his wife and child, his eyes filled with a softness they had never seen before. "I have to settle my child in an absolutely safe place first."
Wanda looked up to meet his gaze and said firmly, "He's right, Arthur needs a stable home."
Chu Hang smiled at her, a smile full of reassurance and promise. "Don't worry, it won't be long."
He turned around to face the group, the fatherly warmth in his eyes fading, replaced by an indifference and confidence that looked down upon everything.
"Three days. I'll solve it."
"Three days?" Strange pressed. "How do you plan to do it?"
Chu Hang didn't answer directly, but slowly raised his right hand, fingers spread as if grasping an invisible World. "The Anti-Monitor's severed limb could evolve into a virus."
He calmly stated a fact.
"Naturally, my power can also become the antidote."
"Need help?" Thor gripped stormbreaker.
"No need. You guys guard this place; don't let anything disturb them." Chu Hang's gaze swept over Wanda and Arthur.
Chapter 305: Zombie Universe
On the lawn of the Avengers Base, a silver-white pillar of light descended from the sky.
As the pillar of light dissipated, Clark Kent's figure appeared before everyone. His skin had a faint silver metallic luster, stars swirled deep within his pupils, and the aura he radiated caused Tony's armor to automatically enter defense mode.
"Dimensional purification complete." Clark's voice was calm, yet it carried a pressure that seemed to freeze the air. "That contaminated star sector has been cleaned."
Tony subconsciously took half a step back. His armor was alarming frantically, showing that the energy level of the man before him had exceeded the detection limit.
"This is Silver Superman?" Steve asked in a low voice.
Chu Hang nodded. He looked at Clark with a hint of satisfaction in his eyes.
"I'm going on a long trip," Chu Hang said. "Three days, three days at most."
Clark didn't ask much, simply nodding slightly. "I will guard this place."
His gaze swept over the infant Arthur in Wanda's arms, then at the surrounding Avengers. His tone was flat but left no room for doubt: "Until he returns, anything that dares approach this place will regret ever having existed."
Tony opened his mouth to say something, but in the end, he only sighed.
Once upon a time, he had felt he was among the strongest on Earth. Looking at it now, a guy who could crush him with a wave of his hand was willingly playing doorman for an even stronger guy.
The World was changing too fast; he was having trouble keeping up.
"Nathaniel, have you found the source of the virus?" Chu Hang turned to the youth staring at the holographic projection.
Nathaniel's fingers moved rapidly through the air as the information stream from Kang's Legacy database flashed before his eyes.
"Found it." His voice was a bit tight. "Universe Z-2149. The virus outbreak point is in... the Quantum Realm."
"The Quantum Realm?" Tony frowned.
"The Hank Pym of that Universe," Nathaniel pulled up a blurry image. "While searching for his wife in the Quantum Realm, he came into contact with something he shouldn't have."
In the image, a figure wearing the Ant-Man armor floated deep within the Quantum Realm. A mass of black mist was slowly approaching him.
"The remnants of the Anti-Monitor." Chu Hang recognized the thing at a glance. "A portion of the fragments from the hand I severed fell into the Quantum Realm."
He should have realized it sooner. The Quantum Realmconnects countless parallel Universes and is one of the foundational structures of the Multiverse. It was perfectly normal for those fragments to be swept in by temporal turbulence.
"It merged with some kind of primordial virus in the Quantum Realm," Nathaniel's voice grew lower. "Forming a... conceptual-level infection."
"Conceptual infection?" Steve didn't quite understand.
"Simply put," Chu Hang explained for him, "a normal virus infects your body, but this thing infects your very existence. Those infected don't just turn into zombies; they are fundamentally rewritten into something else."
He raised his hand and tore a rift in the void.
"I'll go take a look."
Wanda walked forward holding Arthur, worry in her eyes.
Chu Hang reached out and gently pinched her cheek. "Don't worry, just think of it as popping over to a neighbor's house."
He stepped into the rift, his figure vanishing from everyone's sight.
Universe Z-2149, New York.
The moment Chu Hang stepped out of the Spatial Rift, he was met with the pungent smell of blood and rot.
This city was dead.
Overturned cars and shattered glass were everywhere on the streets. The windows of skyscrapers were dark and hollow, like dead eyes. Intermittent screams and gunshots came from the distance, but they were soon drowned out by a more terrifying sound—
The sound of chewing.
Chu Hang looked up and saw a scene that made him frown slightly.
A figure in a star-spangled bodysuit was crouching next to a police car, stuffing something into his mouth with both hands. That shield, which once represented hope and justice, lay discarded to the side, covered in dark red stains.
Zombie Captain America.
Steve Rogers—or rather, the thing that used to be Steve Rogers—seemed to sense something and snapped his head up.
Half of that face had already rotted away, revealing the pale bone beneath. Yet, a frantic hunger burned within those eyes.
"Fresh... meat..."
Zombie Captain America threw down what was in his hands and lunged at Chu Hang, his body twisting in a completely non-ergonomic fashion.
He was fast, much faster than a normal zombie. The super soldier serum's enhancement was still working, only now it served an endless hunger.
Chu Hang stood where he was, motionless.
When Zombie Captain America's claws were less than three centimeters from his face, they slammed into an invisible barrier.
That was the Law Domain.
The absolute defense woven from fourteen universal origin laws formed a spherical space three meters in diameter around Chu Hang. Within this space, he was the sole lawmaker.
Zombie Captain America clawed frantically at the barrier, his nails snapping and flesh tearing, but he couldn't even stir a single ripple.
"A pity," Chu Hang said flatly as he looked at this former comrade. "In my Universe, you were a good man."
He raised his hand and lightly tapped with his index finger.
Zombie Captain America's body split down the middle, as if sliced in half by an invisible blade. The mangled corpse fell to the ground, still writhing instinctively in an attempt to crawl toward Chu Hang.
"The virus's erosion is deeper than I imagined." Chu Hangcrouched down to observe the black threads surging from the wound. "It's not just the physical level; even the Soulhas been rewritten."
His spiritual power delved into those black threads, beginning to analyze the structure of the virus.
This thing was indeed not simple.
Ordinary viruses can only infect cells, but this conceptual zombie virus infects existence itself. It rewrites the host's underlying logic, changing the meaning of life from survival to feeding, and from thinking to hunting.
Furthermore, deep within the virus, Chu Hang sensed a familiar aura.
The Anti-Monitor.
After the remnants of the hand he severed fell into the Quantum Realm and merged with a primordial virus, it formed this terrifying thing.
"Interesting," Chu Hang stood up. "You're luring me."
The sliver of will hidden within the virus seemed to sense his gaze and trembled slightly, as if mocking, or perhaps inviting.
In the distance, a red and gold figure was chasing a group of fleeing survivors.
Zombie Iron Man.
Tony Stark's armor was still functioning, but the person inside was no longer that brilliant genius. He was merely a walking corpse driven by hunger, who happened to be wearing a suit of high-tech equipment.
Chu Hang was in no hurry to act.
He was waiting.
Sure enough, in the next second, a figure so tiny it was almost invisible crawled out from a crack by his feet, instantly enlarging to normal human size and throwing a punch at the back of his head.
Zombie Ant-Man.
Hank Pym, the source of this disaster.
Chu Hang didn't even turn around. His Law Domainrippled slightly, and the Alchemy Law was activated.
Zombie Ant-Man's body froze in mid-air. The Pym Particleswithin him were forcibly stripped away, and those microscopic structures that granted him the ability to shrink and enlarge were laid bare under Chu Hang's analysis.
"The entrance to the Quantum Realm is on you." Chu Hangturned around, looking at the now-immobile zombie. "Take me there."
Chu Hang didn't kill Zombie Ant-Man; instead, he picked him up like a little chick.
Most of Hank Pym's body had rotted, but the Ant-Manarmor was still intact. The Pym Particle regulator on the chest of the suit flickered slightly, indicating that the energy reserves inside were not yet exhausted.
"The entrance to the Quantum Realm." Chu Hang stared at the regulator. "It's right inside here."
He had spent a great deal of time in the invincible Universestudying how smart atoms controlled the microscopic realm. That experience was now coming in handy.
The essence of Pym Particles is to achieve the shrinking and enlarging of objects by folding space. And the Quantum Realm is the destination after space has been infinitely folded.
Chu Hang's Alchemy Law permeated the interior of the armor, beginning to analyze the structure of the Pym Particles.
This thing was more complex than he had imagined.
Ordinary Pym Particles are just a tool, but the particles within Zombie Ant-Man had already been contaminated by the virus. Within each particle lurked a sliver of black void aura.
"I see." Chu Hang understood. "The virus didn't come in from the outside; it crawled out from within the Quantum Realm."
While Hank Pym was searching for his wife in the Quantum Realm, he came into contact with those remnants of the Anti-Monitor that had been swept in by temporal turbulence. Those remnants merged with a primordial virus in the Quantum Realm, forming this terrifying conceptual zombie virus.
And Pym Particles were the carrier for the virus's transmission.
Anyone who used Pym Particles would be infected without even knowing it.
"No wonder the superheroes of this Universe died so quickly." Chu Hang shook his head. "Ant-Man, the Wasp, and everyone who came into contact with Pym Tech were the first victims."
He threw Zombie Ant-Man onto the ground and turned toward the heart of the city.
In the distance, Zombie Iron Man was still chasing that group of survivors. The red and gold armor gleamed in the sunlight, but the sounds coming from within were beastly growls.
Chu Hang's spiritual power swept over the area, finding that there were more survivors than he had expected.
A youth in a red and blue bodysuit was using webs to pull his companions up onto a skyscraper. His movements were agile and practiced, but his face was etched with fear and despair.
Spider-Man, Peter Parker.
Beside him was a man in black armor using Vibraniumclaws to fend off Zombie Iron Man's attacks.
Black Panther, T'Challa.
"Interesting." Chu Hang quickened his pace. "The Spider-Man and Black Panther of this Universe are actually still alive."
Zombie Iron Man's chest emitted a blinding light as the arc reactor charged up for an Impact.
Peter Parker's Spider-Sense alarmed frantically, but he no longer had the strength to dodge. Days of continuous flight and combat had exhausted all his physical strength.
"T'Challa, take them and go!" Peter shouted. "I'll hold him off!"
T'Challa didn't move; he knew Peter couldn't hold him off.
But he also knew that he couldn't block it either.
Zombie Iron Man's Impact was fired.
That blue-white beam was enough to destroy a building, let alone two exhausted superheroes.
Then, the beam vanished.
It wasn't blocked; it simply vanished.
Peter and T'Challa were stunned. They saw a black-haired man standing before them, his right hand raised casually, with a blue-white orb of light slowly rotating in his palm.
It was the Impact that Zombie Iron Man had just fired.
"The energy output of an arc reactor is roughly equivalent to three nuclear power plants." Chu Hang looked at the light orb in his hand, his tone flat. "In my Universe, Tony Stark uses this thing to power all of New York."
He clenched his hand slightly, and the light orb dissolved into nothingness.
"A pity that here, it's just a zombie's toy."
Zombie Iron Man let out an angry roar as all the weapons on his armor activated simultaneously. Missiles, lasers, and micro-bombs rained down on Chu Hang in a deluge.
Chu Hang stood where he was, motionless.
All the attacks stopped three meters away from him, as if hitting an invisible wall. Then, those weapons began to twist and deform, finally turning into a pile of harmless metal scraps that fell to the ground.
"Existence Displacement."
He raised his hand and gave a light wave toward Zombie Iron Man.
An invisible force spread out. With Chu Hang as the center, every trace of the zombie virus within a ten-mile radius was erased at that moment.
The black spores floating in the air, the rotting mycelium clinging to corpses, and the virus particles hidden in blood were all displaced into pure oxygen.
Zombie Iron Man's movements stopped.
Tony Stark inside the armor was completely dead. Without the virus to drive him, he was just an ordinary corpse.
Peter Parker and T'Challa watched this scene, dumbstruck.
They had struggled in this hellish World for too long and had seen too much Death and despair. They thought they were immune to miracles.
But what the man before them had done had already exceeded the scope of miracles.
"Who... who are you?" Peter's voice trembled slightly.
Chu Hang turned around and looked at the two survivors.
"You don't need to know who I am," he said. "You only need to know that I can solve the problem at hand."
Chu Hang was in no hurry to leave.
He crouched down, took the still-flickering Pym Particle regulator from Zombie Ant-Man's mangled armor, and examined it carefully in his palm.
This thing was the key to entering the Quantum Realm.
He had spent a great deal of time in the invincible Universestudying how smart atoms controlled the microscopic realm. That realization of permeating consciousness into the atomic level and conversing with matter itself was now coming in handy.
The essence of Pym Particles is to achieve the shrinking and enlarging of objects by folding space. And the Quantum Realm is the destination after space has been infinitely folded.
Chu Hang's Alchemy Law permeated the interior of the regulator, beginning to analyze those particle structures contaminated by the virus.
At the core of every particle lurked a sliver of black void aura.
Those were the remnants of the Anti-Monitor.
Chu Hang's brow furrowed slightly. He sensed something was not quite right.
Those void auras were not distributed haphazardly; rather, they exhibited a certain regular arrangement. They were like invisible threads extending from every contaminated particle, converging in the same direction.
Deep within the Quantum Realm.
What made him even more alert was that when his spiritual power touched those threads, he felt a familiar emotion.
Hunger.
Not the instinctive, blind hunger of a zombie, but a purposeful, conscious craving.
Those threads were trembling, as if responding to his probe, or perhaps inviting him.
Come, they seemed to say, come deeper.
Chu Hang stood up and looked toward the distance at the area he had already purified.
Peter Parker and T'Challa were searching for other survivors among the ruins, their movements carrying the cautiousness of those who had narrowly escaped Death.
This Universe could still be saved.
But the source of the virus, that thing hidden deep within the Quantum Realm, had to be dealt with.
Chu Hang put the regulator into his storage space and turned to walk toward another part of the city.
He needed to find the entrance to the Quantum Realm in this Universe.
