Chapter 118: Daisy Lewis's Voice Is Loud
After hugging for a short while, Sean patted her. "Alright, get down, and take a look at the gift I prepared for you."
"I... I prepared one for you too!"
Daisy kissed him, then quickly turned around and returned to the room, bringing out a small box, handing it to him with trepidation.
"This is a small piece of meteorite fragment that I've collected for a long time. I don't know if you'll like it."
Sean took it with a happy face and said with a smile, "Is that so! You gave me such a precious gift, I'm almost embarrassed to take mine out."
He took a box out of his large bag with Daisy's name written on it, so he wouldn't take the wrong one.
Seeing that it was a box for a figure, Daisy wasn't unhappy at all. She quickly grabbed it and said with a smile, "I love it! You don't know this, but I couldn't buy your figure in other countries even if I wanted to. With this, I can... see you every day."
"Open it and see."
Without overthinking it, Daisy unwrapped the package. A very exquisite Homelander figure stood there, but there was something placed in his hands.
It was impossible to tell what material it was, but judging by the shape, it looked like... earrings!
Daisy looked at Sean in surprise, then looked at the earrings, still finding it hard to believe.
"This, is this just for me, or does everyone have one?"
Sean also opened the package in his hand; inside a transparent glass box was a small piece of meteorite.
"Not everyone will prepare a gift for me, but I knew you definitely would, didn't you?"
Hearing this, Daisy was moved beyond words. She rushed up and hugged Sean tightly, taking the opportunity to let him taste what her lipstick tasted like.
After kissing for a short while, the two slowly separated. Daisy pursed her lips, looking at him with tenderness, her eyes filled with his reflection.
"Let me put them on for you."
"Mm~"
Daisy quickly took off her own earrings and threw them away, the smile on her face lingering for a long time.
When his hands pinched her earlobes, Daisy clenched her hands and bit her lip, trying her best not to make any strange sounds in such a warm moment.
Feeling the hands leave her face, Daisy asked, "Do they look good?"
"Beautiful!"
The musical parade passed by outside the window, the moving notes plucking at their heartstrings; only one last sentence was needed to compose the most beautiful night.
Sean turned his head to glance at the package beside them, put his arm around her waist, and said indifferently, "My time is limited, you know that."
"I... understand!"
Hearing this, Daisy let go of her last bit of reserve and jumped up.
That's right, Sean still had many gifts to deliver. It was already good enough that he could stay with her for half an hour. She shouldn't be shy and waste time; the gift-giving segment didn't require clothes to be worn anyway.
...
Jane walked down the street alone, feeling dejected. Looking at the lingering traces of lightning on the surrounding walls and the replay of the Battle of New York on the big screen in the square, she could only slightly feel that Thor was still by her side.
She also understood that after today, she needed to reconsider the relationship between the two of them.
She was an independent woman, but that didn't mean she could tolerate her boyfriend being out of touch for half a year.
If it had been due to the force majeure of the Bifrost Bridge before, she could have accepted it. But now, Thor had clearly come over, yet he refused to wait for her for even a day, leaving behind only the words "He will be back" before leaving again.
How long would she have to wait this time? Half a year, or a year?
How many years did she have that she could afford to wait?
"Forget it, I'll ask Sean again to see if he knows what's going on."
Jane sighed, glanced at the sky, composed herself, and returned to the hotel.
"Daisy! I bought cake, we can have it together... Oh! My God! You, can't you go to a room?"
Jane covered her eyes, hunched over, and rushed into the bedroom, locking the door.
Although the hotel's soundproofing was very good, it was only between rooms; inside the room, it might be a little worse.
I don't know how much time passed, but Daisy's voice stopped, and Jane's ears were finally quiet.
She wasn't some innocent little girl; naturally, she knew it wasn't time to go out yet. They were probably still going to be affectionate on the sofa for a while.
After waiting for a long time, Jane opened the door a crack, took a look, and finding that there was indeed no one, she walked out.
Just then, Daisy also came out of the bathroom. "Jane! When did you get back?"
A tic mark appeared on Jane's forehead, and she gritted her teeth and said, "When you were loudly shouting 'change to another one'!"
Daisy's body trembled, feeling a bit embarrassed. She hadn't expected that she had returned long ago and she hadn't heard her.
But she couldn't admit it. Looking into Jane's eyes, she stubbornly said, "I was just concerned because you've been absent-minded lately, so I contacted Sean to ask him about Thor. I can't believe you think of me that way."
"Is that so?" Jane was indeed stunned for a moment, not expecting her to say that.
However, did she really think she would believe such a lame excuse! If the sound had been any quieter, she might have actually believed it.
"Alright then, I'll ask you, what did Sean say?"
"He... he, he said a lot, but I didn't hear it clearly!"
Daisy also knew this excuse didn't seem very good. She walked up, took her hand, and shook it, saying, "Don't be angry. I have Sean's contact information now; I'll ask him for you again tomorrow."
"Hmph, you'd better."
Jane wouldn't really be angry with her; although she was often unreliable, she truly cared about her.
...
"Aunt Lisha, will Brother Sean really come over? I heard from my classmates that he's busy tonight."
Lisha smiled slightly, confident, and said, "Don't worry! I'm very sure he will come!"
She also liked the little girl Inisa very much; it would be great if she could have a child with Sean too.
Nora knew that there was no one at Lisha's home, so she invited her to spend Christmas together. However, she didn't know if this decision was correct.
She was cleaning up the dishes in the kitchen, feeling very anxious. She felt that Sean would definitely come, because the clothes Lisha brought had great lethality.
When she first entered the door, she had brought a large black paper bag and placed it aside; after taking out Inisa's gift from it, she hadn't touched it.
She asked curiously, and Lisha opened it a little bit to show her with a mischievous smile, saying, "I've already sent photos of the clothes to Sean, he will definitely come!"
Nora just took a glance, and her face turned red. She also recognized what kind of clothes they were; after all, she had worn them too.
Inside were Lisha's wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses; she really knew how to play.
Lisha didn't mind this at all and even justified it by saying, "You don't want to be without a man at home on Christmas Eve, do you?"
It was almost nine o'clock, and Inisa was sitting between the two of them, gradually becoming sleepy.
At this moment, Sean also landed quietly on the windowsill.
"Merry Christmas!"
Hearing the movement, the three of them turned their heads together, the expressions on their faces consistent—all happy smiles.
The two adults hesitated for a moment, but Inisa had already rushed to Sean's side, shouting "Santa Claus!"
He rubbed her little head, looked at the other two, opened his arms, and said, "Won't you give Santa Claus a hug?"
The two women looked at each other, walked quickly to his side, one on each side.
"Merry Christmas, Sean!"
Chapter 119: Nora, Lisha are very happy.
Handed the gift to Inisa, and took out two small boxes for them.
Inside was a bracelet. Although they didn't know the material, they put them on immediately.
After the four of them took a Christmas photo together, Lisha couldn't wait and gave Nora a look.
Nora understood, hugged Inisa, and coaxed her: "Big Brother Sean needs to go deliver gifts, let's not disturb him."
"Mm! Inisa is sleepy too, bye-bye Big Brother Sean!"
"Goodnight, Inisa." Sean waved.
Nora took her to the bedroom, preparing to coax her to sleep before coming out.
In the living room, Lisha immediately took Sean to the innermost room, no longer suppressing the fire in her heart, wrapped her arms around his neck, and kissed him deeply.
"Stay here tonight, how about it?"
Sean shook his head, "No, there are still many places to go."
Lisha was slightly disappointed, pouting: "I just wanted you to be by my side at midnight."
"Definitely next time, how about it?"
"Alright..."
Although she was disappointed not to achieve her goal, Lisha still wanted to try her best to keep him for a while longer.
Letting Sean wait in the room, she went out of the bedroom and hurried to change into the white Christmas gift prepared for him.
In the room, Sean also took off the thick Santa Claus suit, turning into a handsome suit, full of ceremony.
Although she wasn't a real bride this time, it felt pretty good.
Not long after, a knock sounded outside the bedroom.
The moment the door opened, the pure white, fluffy skirt rushed into the room, spreading layer by layer at his feet. Lisha, under the veil, had slightly flushed cheeks, and the look in her eyes as she looked up at him was full of tenderness.
Seeing that he had also changed into a suit, Lisha was pleasantly surprised and asked blankly:
"Do I look good?"
Sean smiled and extended his right hand, and Lisha placed her hand in his.
"Beautiful, Lisha."
Gently pulling her into the room, the touch of the white silk plus her soft hand felt very comfortable.
With a slight pull, Lisha stumbled into Sean's arms.
"So, can I kiss my bride now?"
"Mm!"
Now, Lisha couldn't think about anything else. She had originally wanted to make Sean wait, to let Noratake a photo for them before continuing.
She estimated that after tonight, this wedding dress would probably not survive.
But when she heard Sean say "My bride!", her mind went blank, she let Sean do as he pleased, and her body uncontrollably catered to him.
Outside, Nora finally coaxed Inisa to sleep.
As soon as she came out, she saw a bridesmaid dress on the sofa, and the wedding dress in the bag was nowhere to be seen.
Looking at the closed bedroom door, Nora picked up the bridesmaid dress, her expression somewhat melancholy, not knowing what she was thinking.
Sighing softly, Nora shook her head, stopped thinking about other things, and prepared to change clothes and go in, fearing Lisha couldn't hold out too long.
Just as she approached the cabinet, she saw two photo frames on top.
One was a family portrait, the other... was also a family portrait, except Sean was sitting in the middle, holding Inisa in one arm and holding her in the other.
Taking out the dusty family portrait, Nora smiled slightly, as if recalling the time from a few years ago.
"Forget it, doesn't seem like there's anything worth remembering."
Nora chuckled, pulled open the drawer, put the photo in, and when she closed the drawer, she felt much more relaxed.
Tossing the bridesmaid dress aside, she found her own wedding dress.
Inside the bedroom, Lisha's hands gripped the quilt tightly, unconsciously saying strange words.
She still couldn't hold on for too long and completely surrendered.
The lace hem of the white wedding dress occasionally teased Sean's heart, making it hard for him to control his strength.
For safety, he even had the Nano Suit turn white, covering the inside.
A knock sounded outside the door. The thumping sound sounded so pleasant to Lisha's ears.
Without needing her to speak, Sean got up and walked to the door, because he knew that if Norawanted to participate, she definitely wouldn't knock; she must want him to go over if she knocked. She was very sensible.
Then there was no need to say what she wanted at this time.
Standing in front of the door, Sean adjusted his mindset, the Nano Suit turned into a suit again, just changing to a different style, so as not to favor one over the other.
The moment the door opened, Nora was a little nervous, her hands placed in front, clenched tightly.
She didn't want to knock at first, and knew it would be better to participate a little, so as not to interrupt Sean's interest.
But she still wanted Sean to take a good look at her, look at her wearing the wedding dress.
When the door opened and she saw Sean opposite also wearing a suit, she knew she hadn't chosen the wrong person this time.
Sean stepped forward, reached out, picked her up from below, and kissed her forehead.
"Very beautiful, Nora."
"As long as you like it."
Nora wrapped her arms around his neck, burying her face in his chest, the happy smile on her face about to overflow.
Nora's wedding dress suited her temperament well. No fluffy skirt, no delicate lace, no gorgeous embellishments, just a piece of silk, hanging from top to bottom, simple and elegant.
The strapless and cinched-waist design perfectly displayed her figure, without a single flaw.
Lisha, lying on the side, also turned around and found that she wasn't wearing the bridesmaid dress she had prepared, but her own wedding dress. Her mouth curled up, and she didn't say anything more.
She had originally wanted her to wear a wedding dress together, but when she asked today, she was slightly resistant, so Lisha didn't bring it up again.
She didn't know why she suddenly changed her mind, but it didn't matter.
The two brides turned their heads to look at each other, and both could see the full happiness in each other's eyes.
...
In the patrol car, Gwen leaned on the seat. There were still many people walking outside the car window, all couples wanting to witness their love under the midnight fireworks.
Glancing at the time, she found it was almost eleven o'clock. Gwen pulled her collar, not knowing if he could make it.
"Gwen, look! Homelander just flew past!" the little girl in the passenger seat leaned out and said.
"Wow! He flew past again. Ah~ Homelander is so good, he even acts as Santa Claus on Christmas Eve to give everyone gifts. If only he could see us."
As soon as she finished speaking, the fantasy was interrupted by the sound of knocking on the car window.
"Merry Christmas, two beautiful ladies."
The little girl in the passenger seat turned her head to see who was so bold as to accost a police car. Just as she was about to get angry, she saw a Santa Claus standing outside, and she was stunned by that face.
"Home... Homelander!"
Sean pointed at the car window, signaling her to roll it down.
"You still have to patrol on Christmas Eve, it's really hard work. Here, this is the gift I have for you, I hope you like it."
The little girl who received the gift was stunned. She didn't expect to receive a Christmas gift from Homelander; she couldn't believe it.
"I, can I hug you?"
"Of course."
"Ah!"
The little girl quickly got out of the car and hugged Sean tightly, her laughter trembling with excitement.
"Alright, then I won't disturb you from continuing your patrol, bye-bye!"
"Bye-bye!"
The little girl's eyes were full of hearts. She suddenly felt that being arranged to work overtime on Christmas Eve wasn't a bad thing.
When she sat back in the car, she saw Gwen on the side and exclaimed:
"Ah, did Homelander forget to give you a gift!"
"Maybe."
Gwen quickly got out of the car, "I'll go buy coffee, you wait in the car for a while."
"Okay, then I want..." Before she could finish, Gwen ran out.
Watching Gwen's fleeing figure, she felt a little heartache. Brother Homelander only gave me a gift, wouldn't Big Sister be unhappy?
Chapter 120 Hess: Welcome Home, Dear
"Gwen, where are you?"
"Huff~ Buying, buying coffee."
"But it's been over half an hour, and your voice sounds very breathless. Are you okay?"
"Huff, ah, I'm fine. On the way to buy coffee, I... I ran into a thief, and I... I'm chasing him."
"Ah, do you need backup?"
"No need!"
Just as Gwen hung up the walkie-talkie, her right hand, which had finally been freed, was pulled behind her back by Sean Brooke.
The temperature on Christmas Eve was quite low, but Gwen's little face was flushed red, and white mist kept puffing from her lips; she looked like she was very hot.
Perhaps she felt that Sean Brooke's heart was too burning with love for her, and she couldn't quite handle it.
Gwen snuggled in Sean Brooke's arms, constantly tracing her nails across his chest, trying to make him feel the tearing sensation too.
She glanced at the time and realized there was still over half an hour until midnight. Hardening her heart, she prepared to change places and continue.
Sean Brooke reached out directly to pin her down, flicked her forehead, and said coldly, "Hmph, have you forgotten the lesson from last time?"
"I just wanted to make you happy for a while longer, it's Christmas Eve after all." Gwen covered her head, her eyes brimming with tears.
Interrupted by him, Gwen extinguished her desire to continue, because that was exactly how she had made Sean Brooke angry last time.
"Am I the kind of person who builds my happiness on your pain? Or are you saying that's what you think? Hmm?" Sean Brooke asked, pinching her cheek.
"I, I was wrong~"
Sean Brooke let go and looked at her helplessly.
Every time she was like this; once he softened his attitude, she would stay by his side, satisfied, looking very lovable.
But if his attitude was slightly tough, she would become stubborn in turn, not caring about her own body at all, which was very headache-inducing.
See, she was just admitting her mistake, and now she was already starting to make small moves. Soon, it would be another case of going with the flow, not afraid at all that her little boat would capsize.
A small red box flew in front of them. Sean Brooke said softly, "Your Christmas gift, want to see it?"
Gwen was stunned for a moment. She thought he was the gift, so she hadn't expected another surprise.
Wiping her hands, she excitedly opened the box, not knowing what would be inside.
When she opened the lid, inside was a small ring with strange patterns, and it didn't look like precious metal.
At first glance, Gwen didn't realize what it was, but when she thought about where it should be worn, she froze. Covering her mouth, she turned to look at Sean Brooke, her slightly trembling eyes revealing just how surprised she was.
"Oh my god, Sean Brooke, are, are you serious?"
Sean Brooke looked innocent, took the box into his hand, and said in a very flat tone, "What's wrong? What's there to be serious or not serious about? Come, let me put it on for you and see if it looks good."
With a blank mind, Gwen slowly extended her right hand, not knowing whether she should close her eyes or witness this moment.
"It's on, see how it looks?"
"...Hmm?"
Looking at her empty right hand, then at her left, Gwen realized that something was hanging around her neck.
The ring hung around her neck and looked very nice. Could anything Sean Brooke gave not look good? However, it would have been better if it could be worn somewhere else.
However, Gwen was a rather clever person and soon realized that Sean Brooke had deliberately hidden the necklace part inside the box, leaving only the ring on top to mislead her.
"You... you did that on purpose!" Gwen's tone was very aggrieved. Heaven knows what kind of emotional roller coaster she had just experienced.
Sean Brooke chuckled, took off the necklace, and looked at her, saying, "I've given you the gift. As for how you want to wear it, I'm fine with anything."
"You, you, that's too foul. How can you leave the decision to me?"
"Then I'll put it back on your neck."
"Hey, don't!"
Gwen quickly stood up, rolled her eyes at him, and reached out her right hand. "Wear... wear it here."
"Alright, as you wish."
"Wait!" Gwen pulled her hand back, feeling a bit embarrassed. "Let me put on my clothes first, and you... you should put yours on too."
She didn't want to be wearing only one stocking at a time like this.
She was quick. In a few minutes, she was ready. Sean Brooke tapped himself, and the Nano Suit turned into a handsome suit.
The two stood face to face, the atmosphere perfectly set. Even if an outsider saw them, they would think this was a perfect moment for a proposal.
It would have been even more perfect if there weren't shredded Christmas outfits nearby.
"I... I'm ready!"
Sean Brooke held her hand and slowly put the ring on her finger. "Gwen, I love you."
...There was a little while left until midnight. Originally, Gwen had wanted to stay with Sean Brooke until midnight; it would have been very romantic.
However, the walkie-talkie had been ringing for a long time, saying there was a fight at the bar, the kind where someone would die if they didn't go.
Gwen couldn't let the new girl handle it alone, so she had to drive to the scene of the report, filled with intense resentment.
Fortunately, when she was beating up the drunks, she saw the ring on her hand and spared their lives.
Up in the sky, Sean Brooke scrolled through his contacts, feeling there were still many people he could visit. He had no special feelings about midnight on Christmas Eve; it was just a holiday filled with gunfire and action.
For example, his French teacher Sophia; her husband was away on a business trip, and the children were asleep.
Betty; although she was having dinner with her family and her boyfriend was there, they were all drunk, so a visit would work too.
Sharon; she was at the hospital, spending the holiday with her aunt.
The Hess Company annual meeting; the first part had already ended, and for the second part, they went to the Villa to sing. They sent him photos; the photos were very white, and there were many people.
But Sean Brooke thought about it and decided to return to the Hess Family Residence. Perhaps today was very important to them.
When Sean Brooke returned home, the moment he pushed open the door and saw the surprised expression on Hess's face, he knew he had made the right choice to come back.
Hess hurried forward and asked, "Coming back to change clothes again?"
Seeing that he wasn't wearing a Christmas outfit, Hess thought he was back to change clothes, just like before.
Sean Brooke reached out to wrap his arms around her waist and whispered in her ear, "I'm not going out tonight."
Hess, in his arms, looked up at him, her eyes full of smiles.
"Welcome home, dear."
Sean Brooke smiled knowingly and picked her up, sitting on the sofa.
"Sif!" Sif, who was nearby, understood the meaning. She brought two bottles of red wine, poured drinks for the two of them, and then stood by waiting, a look of satisfaction on her face.
"Don't just stand there today, sit down." Sean Brooke patted the spot next to him.
"Ah... I, am I allowed to?"
Seeing her shy, Hess stepped forward and pressed her down, also pouring her a glass.
The three of them snuggled together like this, Sean Brooke leaning on the sofa, and they leaning on Sean Brooke.
On TV, the Christmas special program that Millis participated in was coming to an end. At the stroke of midnight, fireworks went off, and the three of them raised their glasses and clinked them together.
"Merry Christmas!"
Chapter 121: Who Is This Guy?
After Christmas, Sean was called out by Tony.
He had promised to take him to a great place after the Battle of New York, but this had been delayed for a long time. Mainly because Sean was lazy, he had kept using Christmas as an excuse to procrastinate until now.
The two were flying over the Atlantic Ocean, and Sean couldn't stop yawning.
Tony, flying beside him in his latest Armor, couldn't help but complain:
"It's four o'clock in the afternoon in New York time. How long did you actually stay out last night?"
"Tsk, Tony, you underestimate my strength. It's never about how long I played, but how long they could hold out."
"..."
For some reason, every time Tony spoke to Sean, he would be rendered speechless, and he couldn't do anything about it. This time, he even felt a little envious. Damn!
Looking at the satellite map, Tony began to calculate which countries were in this direction, and soon he determined where Sean wanted to take him.
"The great place you mentioned, it wouldn't be Wakanda, would it?"
"Oh? You guessed it. Not bad."
Sean hadn't told him the destination this time, so he didn't expect him to know about this agricultural country.
"Steve's shield was made by my father, and the Vibranium used was discovered in Wakanda, but that should have been all the Vibranium there was," Tony said, feeling a bit puzzled.
"Then you'll get to see the real Wakanda this time."
"The real Wakanda?"
There was not a trace of joy in Tony's expression. He kept having Jarvis pull up all information on Wakanda, but found nothing.
However, when Jarvis tried to connect to Wakanda's regional network, it was blocked and even discovered.
"Sir, I have been warned by Wakanda."
Being blocked was something Tony found hard to believe.
Even the S.H.I.E.L.D. database, which had an excellent firewall, was something he could view whenever he wanted, yet now, he had been blocked by an agricultural country.
Tony stopped underestimating them and discarded the idea of a backward Wakanda from his mind. Now he had to face a Wakanda whose technological level was twenty years ahead of the World!
Not long after, the two arrived above Wakanda. Looking at the dilapidated buildings and busy figures below, it didn't look like a major technological power at all.
"Are we not going further?" Tony asked.
He thought that if Wakanda wanted to hide, it should be underground or on the ocean floor; it couldn't possibly be right out in the open.
"We've arrived. Let's go in."
In the sky, amidst the originally calm and peaceful scene, a jarring black square suddenly appeared, as if the sky had been punched through.
"Mimicry!" Tony's expression changed, and he immediately discovered the truth.
But this didn't alleviate the shock in his heart. A mimicry system capable of covering an entire country, even for an agricultural country, was definitely not something achievable at the present level.
As an inventor himself, Tony naturally knew how difficult it was, especially since the mimicry was so harmonious that it had reached the point of being indistinguishable from reality, making it almost impossible to be discovered.
Moreover, Tony guessed that this outer defense definitely had more functions than just mimicry.
Seeing him freeze, Sean didn't urge him, believing that such an opening would better stimulate his thirst for knowledge. Hopefully, he wouldn't disappoint him.
He had notified them in advance about bringing Tony to Wakanda this time; they naturally didn't agree, but it was useless.
However, the kind-hearted Sean still took care of their feelings. After all, Shuri had been working diligently to help him make his Armor, and since she had contributed, he felt bad about bullying them too much.
In the end, Sean said Tony would only stay in the laboratory for seven days and wouldn't go anywhere else, and would absolutely not reveal anything he saw in Wakanda, which made them feel slightly better.
Although Sean had guaranteed this to them before.
Entering this layer of defense, Tony saw the full picture of Wakanda for the first time. He didn't have time to be shocked and was constantly collecting information.
The two didn't go anywhere else and headed straight to the laboratory.
"Yo, I'm back!"
Shuri looked up for a moment, then continued to look down and work on her experiment, pointing to a white paper nearby. "Write any new requirements for the Armor on there, and I'll help you modify it later."
During this time, she didn't even look at Tony once.
Tony got out of his Armor, but didn't have time to look at her either. He was now attracted by the surrounding instruments and couldn't focus on anything else.
Sean patted him and smiled: "You can only stay here for seven days. In these seven days, no one will teach you anything. You have to learn everything yourself; how much you learn depends entirely on you."
"Tony, can you do it?"
"Can I use the computer?" Tony asked.
"Yes," Shuri replied coldly. "After all, you are a guest brought by Sean. You can use anything here because I don't think you'll be able to learn much in seven days."
"Also, don't mess with instruments you don't know how to use. Thank you."
The cold words were harsh, but they also ignited Tony's fighting spirit. He was very hungry now, and a thirst for knowledge surged through his body.
Tony immediately walked to the computer, seizing every second.
"Jarvis, are you still there?"
"I am still here, sir, but there are many restrictions."
"It's okay, let's start eating."
Outside, Sean, Shuri, and a man who looked a bit familiar were eating together.
At the dinner table, Shuri couldn't help but ask: "Sean, bringing him to Wakanda, won't it be too much of a blow to him?"
"Heh heh, you guys had better be careful. I estimate that in less than seven days, your secrets will be thoroughly figured out by Tony."
"Pfft, I don't believe it."
Shuri's attitude was actually the same as the King's; they didn't believe that anyone could fully learn Wakanda's knowledge in seven days, no matter who it was, it was impossible.
Sean smiled slightly, eating a delicious steak, and pointed at Shuri:
"In return for your hard work helping me make my Armor, I'll give you a way out. Whether you take it or not is up to you."
"What way?"
"While Tony isn't'smart' yet, go be his teacher and earn a favor from him."
Shuri said disdainfully: "Hmph, forget it. For your sake, I'll teach him a little. As for whether he understands it or not, that's none of my business."
"I hope you can still be this arrogant in three days."
T'Challa smoothed things over: "It's fine, he can learn as much as he can."
"Hmm, that's true," Sean nodded.
Then he looked at him, leaned over to Shuri, and asked in a low voice:
"Who is this guy? Why does he keep interrupting?"
"My brother... Little Wang."
"Oh~"
Sean suddenly realized, and the look in his eyes was no longer cold but became enthusiastic.
"Little Wang! Eat up, make yourself at home."
"Uh... okay."
...
The next day, Sean went to ride rhinos again, which felt particularly interesting.
Until Natasha called, making him feel that something more fun had happened in New York.
"Sean, a new super-powered individual has appeared, and they've killed a lot of people!"
Chapter 122: Curious Sean!
Just after Sean and Tony left, a residential building in Brooklyn caught fire, with constant screams coming from inside as the flames grew stronger and stronger.
Sheriff George arrived first on the scene, piloting the Brave Guardian, but the fire was too intense, and even using up all the small firefighting robots wasn't enough; he had no choice but to rush into the fire, trying to save as many people as he could.
But just then, the sound of a window shattering came from the top floor, and a Black man holding a child landed in front of everyone.
He placed the child on the ground, turned around, and jumped back to the top floor, bringing down one victim after another, safe and sound.
This astonishing scene was reported by the journalists on the scene, and everyone was speculating about where this new Superhero had come from and how he had obtained his super abilities.
The Black man was also very excited; after today, he would become a Superhero like Homelander!
It was worth setting this fire on purpose.
"Calm down! Calm down, Martin Stamp, you can do this!"
Martin took a few deep breaths in the fire, and the glow surging on his face gradually dissipated; he patted his face, jumped into the crowd one last time, and went to enjoy the applause that belonged to him.
Seeing that he hadn't brought anyone down this time, the reporters swarmed over, thrusting several microphones toward him, while the camera flashes nearby kept going off; combined with the applause of the surrounding crowd, Martin felt excited again.
"May I ask what your name is, sir!"
"Are you also a super-powered individual? May I ask how you obtained them!"
"Can you demonstrate your super abilities! Can you show us!"
No reporter cared whether there were still survivors inside, just as they didn't care about Sheriff George, who had just come out and gone back in.
"Hello everyone! I... my name is Martin Stamp, and I don't know how I obtained my super abilities either; just now, I was being burned by the fire and should have died, but after a while, I discovered that the flames had no effect on me, so I hurriedly joined the rescue work."
Martin had prepared these lines for a long time, speaking entirely according to the template of Homelander, so there shouldn't be any problems, right?
"As for my super abilities..."
Martin looked around, found a street lamp, and placed his hand on it; instantly, red light surged from his hand, and a small piece of the iron lamp post was melted into molten iron in an instant.
"Whoa!"
The reporters exclaimed, camera flashes kept flickering, and within half an hour, major news media and newspapers published the headline: New Superhero, Fire Man, officially debuts!
Looking at the admiring gazes around him, Martin was extremely excited inside, rejoicing that he had gotten this opportunity to reclaim the honor that belonged to him.
He was originally a veteran of the battlefield who had performed many meritorious services, but just one error in judgment caused him to lose an arm and a leg, making everything he originally possessed vanish into thin air, leading to his wife divorcing him and his family despising him.
Fortunately, he met that person; not only did his arm and leg return, but he also gained super abilities, as well as the applause that should have belonged to him in the first place.
"Thank you, Fire Man!"
The people Martin rescued from the fire all stepped forward to hug him, thanking him for saving their lives, and he even received many phone numbers from women; everything was moving in a good direction.
"Thank you, Martin!"
The voice was somewhat familiar, but Martin, immersed in the applause, didn't think much of it, not even paying attention to the stinging pain when shaking hands.
Soon, Martin's expression changed, and red light flashed under his skin, as if magma were churning inside.
The reporters were stunned for a moment; Martin's strange expression alerted them, as if they had seen it somewhere before.
"I remember, Lightning Max also couldn't control his super abilities at the beginning, and his body flashed with blue light, right."
The surrounding crowd then remembered that super-powered individuals might not necessarily be able to control the energy within their bodies, such as Hulk and Max.
If Homelander hadn't arrived during the last incident with Max, he wouldn't have become a Superheroand would have been killed on the spot, right.
"Homelander... it seems he went out with Iron Man and can't come!" The reporter who said this took off running, faster than when they were rushing for news.
The rest of the people also reacted and scattered to flee, but it seemed a bit late.
Watching the crowd that had just been so supportive of him run away reminded him of his wife's previous gaze, wishing he would die far away.
Martin could no longer suppress the Extremis in his body, and it erupted completely.
With him as the center, the people within a ten-meter radius had even their bodies vaporized, leaving only a pool of blood on the ground to prove that someone had been standing there before.
Sheriff George, who had just come down, immediately braced his shield to protect the few people next to him, but the casualties were still extremely heavy.
Even the fire itself didn't have as much lethality as this explosion.
The news of Fire Man's self-detonation instantly appeared on television, spreading faster than when he was alive.
Just as the discussions reached their peak, all television and radio signals were hijacked, and a man with a full beard appeared on the screen, and all people in America saw this scene.
"Some call me a Terrorist, some call me a savior, but I think I am just a teacher; America, are you ready for class?"
A man claiming to be The Mandarin issued a declaration of attack, claiming that the previous Brave Guardian, Ivan, was killed by him, and this Fire Man was also their gift, intended to kill the Superheroes at the scene.
He also stated that Superheroes should not appear in this World at all; the moment they appear, various disasters follow one after another, never ceasing.
"President Ellis, since you have rejected my friendly proposal, then it can only be up to me to deal with these people who should never have appeared in this World!"
The image ended with a flag, Ten Rings forming a large circle, with two crossed swords in the middle, and strange patterns inside the rings.
At the same time, various military units of America abroad, and even residential areas, experienced explosive attacks, causing heavy casualties.
Natasha contacted Sean immediately, asking him if he knew about the Ten Rings.
Because the rings obtained from him last time, after an investigation by S.H.I.E.L.D., had patterns that matched the flag of the Ten Rings.
"The leader of the Ten Rings was already dealt with by me long ago; this one, humph, is probably a fake." Sean said.
"Then are you interested in coming back to play a little? The public is going crazy."
The Superheroes' super abilities being out of control, self-detonating in the street, and causing countless casualties made them become less trusting of Max and Hulk, because they both had records of going on a rampage, and they were afraid they wouldn't be able to control themselves again.
"Fine, I don't have anything to do here anyway."
Here in Wakanda, besides the rhinoceroses, Sean hadn't discovered anything else fun.
Sean remembered this person who self-detonated; it seemed related to Extremis, right? In his impression, they could regenerate severed limbs.
Hehe, don't know if they can grow back if the head is gone; if it can grow back, is he still his original self?
Sean was a bit curious!
Chapter 123: My First Time Being a Pervert, I'm a Bit Out of Practice
"What's the situation now?"
Natasha sighed and nestled into Sean's arms, looking at the files with a headache.
"Several explosive incidents causing injuries have already occurred. It's hard to avoid every time. These people are no different from ordinary people normally, but once they're injected with something, they turn into an uncontrollable bomb with immense power."
"And there's simply no way to stop the explosion. Even if the person is killed on the spot, they still explode. It's very troublesome. Now everyone outside is in fear for their lives, and the pressure is all on the White House."
The President made a public statement, but it had little effect. To make matters worse, there's a group of pedantic people in the Cabinet saying they can't rely on Superheroes for everything, as it would make them seem useless.
Natasha was so angry she wanted to rush over, point at his nose, and ask, 'What the hell are you even useful for?!'
It was one thing for the subordinates to be stupid, but the President followed suit, thinking what they said made sense. He ordered Colonel Rhodes to handle the matter and even had his War Machinerepainted and renamed the Iron Patriot.
He's probably in Afghanistan right now, searching for traces of The Mandarin.
"You didn't call me back without having any information at all, did you?" Sean asked unpleasantly, applying a bit of pressure with his hand.
Natasha bit her lip to keep from crying out, lest she pique Sean's interest.
Sif had already gone back, and Natasha had experienced the consequences of not having that buffer—painful but pleasurable. However, she had other work to do recently and couldn't afford to be too happy.
"There... there's news!"
Turning to the last page of the files, Natasha pointed at a photo and said:
"Eric Savin, a former Army Lieutenant Colonel. He was in contact with the bombers at every explosion site. We had people tail him, but he also has Fire-like abilities and doesn't self-destruct. Our people were all killed by him."
"What about the others?" Sean asked.
"That's the problem. Max and Banner are under observation because of their history of losing control. You took Tony away. As for the others, besides me, no one should be able to withstand the force of the explosions."
At this point, Natasha was annoyed to death. She had finally managed to rest for two days, only for a pile of trouble to come crashing down. It was even more overbearing than Sean, giving her no room to breathe. At least he would loosen the ring eventually to let one catch their breath.
Natasha straightened her posture as her black Nano Suit emerged. She pressed her hands against his chest and whispered:
"Black Widow requests backup from Homelander~"
"I want to see the White Spider."
No wonder everyone loves high-profile stars; it really does feel different.
Recently, Natasha's popularity had skyrocketed. As one of the only two female Superheroes, her looks had attracted countless people. The view counts for her appearance videos were exceptionally high, and some with more vigorous movement even surpassed Sean's.
Yes, exactly like the intensity she was showing now—extremely seductive.
...
Since he had rendered the only person capable of making arrests, Natasha, unfit for combat, Sean could only go out and hunt his prey in a good mood.
Sean was actually looking forward to prey that could regenerate limbs. He felt like many fun things would happen; he just didn't know if there were many of them.
The sky was a bit gloomy. Following S.H.I.E.L.D.'s leads, Sean arrived in Miami, Florida. The scenery here wasn't bad; he felt he could bring someone here for a trip next time.
Making no attempt to hide his presence, he walked straight up to a man in a black suit and asked where the target was.
This S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent was rather nervous as he pointed toward a bar and handed Savin's photo to Sean.
According to internal S.H.I.E.L.D. rumors, Homelander didn't have a good memory for people.
Glancing at the photo, Sean looked toward the bar and found that Savin was indeed inside. There was a woman next to him. They weren't drinking, just sitting quietly as if they were waiting for Sean.
"Tsk..."
The fact that the target wasn't running made Sean feel like a lot of the fun was gone. Right now, he really wanted to play a game of cat and mouse.
The moment he stepped into the bar, Sean drew every eye. After three seconds of silence, a thunderous cheer erupted.
"Homelander! Homelander!"
Sean smiled and waved to them, then walked over to his target.
"Are you coming with me on your own, or am I taking you?"
Leaning on the sofa, Savin snorted coldly and kicked out hard, flipping the table toward Sean's face. Using the obstruction of sight, his right hand glowed with a red light as he threw a punch forward!
The movement was fast, but in Sean's eyes, he could have yawned a few times before striking back.
Not wanting that dirty hand to touch him, Sean kicked out through the table, instantly blasting him out through the wall.
The woman beside him also changed expression. Instead of running, her emotions surged as she attempted to grab Sean with her hand, which was at a temperature of three thousand degrees.
He turned to look; she was a bit older and had extensive burn scars on her face. Sean simply followed up with a side kick, sending her flying after him.
The fight ended very quickly—so quickly that before the cheering had even stopped, the two were lying outside, motionless.
The noise in the bar came to an abrupt halt. A few people near the door even ran out, while only the brave ones took out their phones to record.
Sean straightened his hair and said with a smile:
"Sorry for interrupting everyone's dancing. How about this: tonight's tab is on Young Master Tony. Everyone, have a blast!"
"Woohoo~"
Happy cheers rang out again. No one asked if the people who had been blown away were villains, because that question was stupid.
If they were Homelander's enemies, what else could they be but villains?
By the time Sean walked out, the two of them were shakily standing up, their eyes filled with horror.
They were considered relatively perfect test subjects. They thought that even if they couldn't beat Homelander, they could at least hold him off for a while and trade a few blows.
But their bodies could barely withstand just one of his kicks. How were they supposed to hold him off?
The two looked at each other and raised their hands simultaneously. "I surrender!"
"Oh? Is that so?" Sean grinned.
The two nodded frantically and squatted on the ground. This had been the plan from the start: to let a Superhero take them away, no matter who it was.
Sean stepped forward, grabbed the two with one hand each, and kicked off the ground, soaring into the sky.
Intense wind pressure scraped against their faces like knives; the two couldn't even open their eyes.
Savin grabbed Sean's arm with both hands. With a thought, he increased the temperature of his palms, wanting to see if Homelander could withstand three thousand degrees. The woman beside him also grew interested and followed suit.
Sean ignored their little tricks. He was looking for a suitable location to test his idea.
He soon found a deserted stone cliff and threw them both down. If they died from that, there would be no point in testing.
Seeing that they hadn't died after hitting the ground, Sean felt quite gratified and approached them with a smile.
Red light surged across Savin's body on the ground—the Extremis virus was repairing his damaged parts. Watching Homelander approach, he asked nervously:
"What are you doing?! What if the two of us died? How would you explain that to your superiors?"
"Explain?" Sean laughed a few times. "Have you misunderstood something?"
That cold smile was deeply etched into their hearts. However, they weren't too panicked yet because Homelander was a Superhero!
Homelander surely just wanted to scare them into revealing information about the mastermind. This routine was so old it was worn out; what was there to fear?
As long as they held out for a little while, pretended they couldn't take it anymore, and gave a trap location, everything would be according to plan!
Savin smiled confidently and said coldly, "You want to ask about The Mandarin, don't you? Hmph, I won't say a single word!"
"Right! Me neither!" the woman stood up and chimed in.
Sean's face still bore that indifferent smile as nanobots gathered in his hand, forming a knife.
"Ah, is that so? You really are tough nuts to crack. In that case, I might have to say sorry in advance."
"Why?" Savin asked, puzzled.
"Because, this is my first time being a pervert. I might be a bit out of practice, so please... bear with me!"
Chapter 124: Why don't you call me darling? I like hearing you call me darling.
Late at night, near the border of Florida, the sound of a man's screams echoed from beneath the desolate rocks, growing louder and more piercing with each passing moment.
"Ah, sorry."
Looking at Savin, who wore a smile of relief before him, Sean felt a bit of regret. He really wasn't very skilled; he had accidentally sliced through Savin's heart just now, and it seemed that Extremis couldn't repair it. Sigh.
Oh well, there's always the next one.
On the ground not far away, Ellen Brandt, a female carrier of Extremis, had her eyes wide open, her body twisting constantly as she focused entirely on escaping this place.
Just a moment ago, while Sean was dealing with Savin, she kept trying to run away. When she realized she couldn't escape, she even tried to blow her own head off so she wouldn't fall into the hands of Homelander.
There was no other choice; Sean could only sever her limbs from time to time to keep her calm.
But Sean could also see that this Extremis wasn't all that great; it wasn't as powerful as he had imagined. Never mind the head, it couldn't even repair a ruptured heart. Pfft, truly useless!
"I... I'll talk! I'll tell you everything!"
As soon as he removed the stone from her mouth, Brandt hurriedly confessed everything she knew.
For instance, Killian and his AIM were the real masterminds, while The Mandarin was just an actor. Furthermore, he had bewitched many ordinary people into participating in the Extremis experiments, seducing them by exploiting their desire to become a Superhero.
In addition, she spilled everything about where their Base was located, how many people were there, and so on, terrified that if she were even a second late, she would lose her head.
She explained it very clearly, but there was one problem: she wasn't pretty enough, so Sean didn't take a single word of it to heart.
He only asked a question when he heard about the mastermind.
"That Killian guy, is his ability stronger than you two?"
"Stronger! Definitely much stronger!" Brandt nodded quickly.
"Is that so."
The small disappointment in Sean's heart vanished instantly; it seemed there was still a main course waiting for him.
"I... I can go, no, no, no, can you lock me in prison? I swear, I absolutely won't run!" Brandt pleaded.
"Heh."
Watching Homelander stroke the blade as he approached, Brandt instantly understood that he wouldn't let her go.
"How can you kill people! You're Homelander! You're a Superher..."
Brandt's face made intimate contact with nature.
Sean stood to the side, waiting for quite a while, before finally giving up in disappointment.
Although he knew it was unlikely, he still wanted to see if her head could grow back; you never know, right?
The result was naturally no. After disposing of the two corpses, Sean flew back to New York.
The cleaning function of the Nano Suit was decent; there wasn't a trace of blood on him, but the smell was a bit strong, so he needed to go back and wash up.
On the way, he contacted Natasha to tell her that the people had been dealt with, saying that the mastermind was named something like Gianna or Gillian, and told her to just search for that name.
It didn't take long for Sean to return to the Hess Family Residence.
As a Vampire, Hess smelled the thick scent of blood while Sean was still outside the door.
"Sean! Why is the smell so strong? Hurry and wash up; it won't be good if others smell it."
Hess hurried forward to help him take off his coat and shouted behind her:
"Sif! Run the water in the bathroom!"
"Okay!"
Hess continued to help Sean change clothes. Looking at his face, she noticed he seemed unhappy, so she asked:
"What's wrong?"
Sean snorted, grabbed her hand, and said in a slightly unhappy tone:
"Why don't you call me darling? Call me darling from now on; I like hearing you call me darling."
"Pfft! Childish!" Hess let out a sigh of relief and stood on her tiptoes to give him a kiss.
"Alright~ Darling, go wash up quickly. I'll go prepare something for you to eat."
"Hmph, for the food, you'd better add yourself to it."
Sean patted her lightly and walked towards the bathroom while stretching.
Hess behind him shook her head with a smile, gathered his clothes, and prepared to burn them later.
The bathroom door opened, and Sif, who was testing the water temperature with her hand, stood up straight. "The water is ready; I'll go get your wine."
"Sure, and by the way, put on the Christmas gift Hess gave you."
Sif blushed, nodded, and quickly ran out.
Not long after, the sound of jingling bells came from outside the door.
The gift Hess gave Sif was a set of bells, tied around her wrists and neck, which made a very pleasant sound when they rang.
Sif carried a tray with a bottle of red wine that Sean liked and a goblet. As she quickly walked to the side and prepared to kneel, she was stopped by him.
"You don't need to kneel when pouring the wine."
"Yes."
Handing the wine glass to Sean, Sif stood to the side clutching the wine bottle, ready to refill it at any time.
He took a sip; the taste was indeed quite good, but Sean felt the texture could be even better.
He threw the wine glass in his hand, scattering broken glass shards across the floor, and turned to look at her:
"Come here, let's use a different container."
Outside, Hess heard the sound of the glass breaking; she looked up and intended to go in.
But the sound of bells that followed made her stop in her tracks, and she went back to preparing a late-night snack with peace of mind.
...
The next day, Sean slept very comfortably through the night and didn't wake up slowly until noon. The two women beside him were already awake but hadn't left.
The corners of Sean's mouth curled up slightly; he was in a good mood, knowing they hadn't left because they wanted to make him feel comfortable.
Seeing him wake up, the two exchanged a glance. Over a hundred years of being together meant they could understand each other's thoughts with just a single look.
Hess crawled up and lay on Sean's chest because she had something to say, while Sif moved down, allowing Sean to keep calm and think.
"Everything has been fine lately. The aftermath of the Battle of New York has been handled very smoothly, and the company has gained quite a lot of benefits from it. Also..."
Sean would only listen to these kinds of trivial matters when Hess spoke about them, and it felt very pleasant to listen to, without any hint of annoyance.
"Right, there is one matter that I can't make a decision on, and I need to ask you."
"Tell me about it."
"A man named Kingpin found the Elder, saying he wanted to reach a cooperation with the Vampire race. The reward is very generous, and the Elder is a bit tempted."
"Kingpin? How did he know about Vampires?" Sean thought about it; it felt like he had heard that name somewhere before.
Hess took her phone and pulled up Kingpin's profile, continuing:
"Kingpin is a gang leader in Hells Kitchen. He has his hands in many underground businesses, but apparently, something happened to him a while ago, and he disappeared for a long time. Recently, he wants to rebuild his criminal empire."
"The Elders contacted Kingpin when they first arrived in New York; that bar was actually a gift from him. They had a relationship before, but back then, both sides were walking on thin ice, so they didn't cooperate. Now, Kingpin sees that the Vampires are developing well, and is using this to propose an invitation."
Sean pondered for a moment, and as the sound of bells rang out, he remembered.
"This Kingpin... I think I was going to beat him to death."
"Is that so? Then I know what to do." Hess closed her phone immediately; everything was based on Sean's will.
"Don't rush." Sean hugged her tighter and asked: "Does cooperation have any benefits for you?"
Hess also looked up at him and smiled: "There are benefits, but if he dies, the benefits will be even greater. We could take over many of his industries."
"The Elder had thought about this when they first arrived, but they didn't act because they couldn't beat him."
Sean was a bit surprised. "Those two old guys are that bad?"
"It's not that they are bad, but that Kingpin is very strong. Although he isn't a superpowered individual, he possesses immense combat skills and a body with muscles that even bullets can't penetrate."
"Interesting. Then I'll go take a look tonight."
Chapter 125: The Very Understanding Kingpin
Night, Hells Kitchen.
Kingpin gazed out from his office window at the night view of New York City, a bright smile on his face.
Even in this era of Superheroes, I am firmly seated as the underground emperor of New York!
All his current plans were proceeding methodically; he was not short on money, only lacking some partners.
He had been eyeing Bishop Security for a long time; the company was well-equipped and had plenty of manpower.
As it happened, that Bishop had died after owing him a large sum of money, and his wife, lacking the means to repay it, would just have to come work for him.
After filling out the entry-level personnel, the next step was to stockpile mid-to-high-end combat power.
As long as that group of Vampires agreed to cooperate, this gap could also be filled, leaving only one thing missing.
A Superhero who belonged to him!
The TV was still broadcasting news about the recent explosions, which piqued Kingpin's interest. He had someone try to contact The Mandarin to ask if he had a way to control the explosions; if so, they could mass-produce Superheroes, and at that point, the Avengers would be nothing to worry about.
Kingpin spread his arms, planning to control the entire America, and the first step would begin in Hells Kitchen!
Just as he turned around, he suddenly discovered someone standing in his office, and the appearance of this person made his pupils dilate in terror.
"Homelander? Hello." Kingpin tried to speak in a calm tone while quietly moving toward his seat.
Sean glanced at the photo on his phone, then looked at Kingpin, and smiled: "It must be you. With this big bald head and those fat limbs, it's hard to mistake you."
"Uh... is there something you need from me?" Kingpin asked in a low voice, then discreetly pressed a button.
Sean did not notice his small movement; hmph, it's not like he would be cautious just to kill an ordinary person.
"It's nothing much, I've just discovered your criminal activities, and I'm here to beat you to death."
"Oh, is that so?"
Hearing Homelander say this, Kingpin actually became much calmer.
If Homelander really wanted to kill him, it probably wouldn't matter how he resisted.
But he didn't act immediately, didn't that mean there was still room for negotiation?
Knock, knock!
There was a knock at the door. Kingpin felt a surge of joy and shouted: "Come in!"
"Boss!" × 2
Two sexy beauties walked in, looking identical. When they saw that besides their boss, the other person was the famous Homelander, they both screamed in excitement.
With a look from Kingpin, the two women gathered around Sean.
He knew about the cabinet's previous tests on Homelander, so he had long prepared a pair of beautiful twins, and just in case, his adopted daughter Lopez was also on her way.
"Ahem, Mr. Brooke, I will step out and return in a moment. Why don't you consider it for a while?" Kingpin asked confidently.
Sean laughed, "You, my friend, are very understanding."
"Hehe, of course."
"However, you don't need to leave." Sean changed his tone, "Death comes sooner or later, so why bother?"
Before the two women beside them could react, they collapsed onto the floor, unable to make a sound.
"We shouldn't have any grievances, should we!" Kingpin's expression changed as he asked.
With his temperament, he would absolutely not provoke Homelander in the slightest at this time; he even kept his distance from everyone around him. He really couldn't figure out where he had offended him.
After all, according to his investigation, Homelander would not take the initiative to find trouble with bad guys; otherwise, the entire Hells Kitchen would have been overturned by him long ago, and it wouldn't have waited until now.
Sean took several syringes out of his pocket; this was the Extremis he had obtained from the two people earlier. He wondered if injecting it into Kingpin would have a very good effect.
This was the reason he hadn't acted immediately; he was still thinking about the matter of regrowing a head.
Before Kingpin could react, his head was pressed onto the desk by a hand, unable to move.
"You're so fat, yet you have quite a lot of muscle."
Sean estimated Kingpin's weight to be at least 200 kilograms. An average person's muscle ratio is 35%, but he estimated his to be over 90%. This ratio was incredible and very terrifying for an ordinary person.
But for Sean, it made no difference.
After injecting the Extremis, Sean stood aside and put on his Nano Suit so as not to get covered in blood.
Red light flashed under Kingpin's skin, and several cracks appeared on his face, looking as if he were about to explode.
When the red light gradually faded, Kingpin suddenly felt full of power, and the desktop he was lying on had been burned through with two large holes.
Sean chuckled, a Vibranium blade appearing in his hand. He didn't even let him try out his newly acquired superpowers before dying; he simply slashed his throat.
This was also because he had already played with limb regeneration elsewhere; only the head was left. If the head could also grow back, Sean would feel satisfied.
But unfortunately, he couldn't.
Not long after Sean left, the building behind him erupted in a violent explosion, and none of the three people inside survived.
Women were nothing; he wasn't short of them. What he lacked was... affection points.
He smelled himself and seemed to have a bit of a bloody scent again, so he had to go back and let Sifhelp him wash up, hehe.
...
During Tony's time studying in Wakanda, the head of Stark Industries, Ms. Pepper, met an old friend, Aldrich Killian.
This man had been Tony's fanatical fan many years ago, but after being forgotten by Tony on a rooftop, he had gradually calmed down.
Now, he had returned to the land of New York with grand goals, and everything was going according to plan.
Killian was trying to persuade Pepper to invest in AIM and perfect the Extremis together.
If she agreed, that would naturally be best; if not, Killian would have to find another way to make Tonyperfect the Extremis. He probably wouldn't like that method.
The Extremis research had currently reached a bottleneck; otherwise, he wouldn't have come out of hiding to seek Tony's help.
The two chatted for a long time, but in the end, Pepper refused.
There was no helping it; Killian could only smile and leave. If soft tactics didn't work, he would have to use hard ones.
As long as she was also injected with the Extremis, he wouldn't have to worry about Tony not helping!
Killian's departing figure caught Happy's attention; he felt this guy looked ill-intentioned.
Happy had also found a second spring in his career, serving as the head of security for Stark Industries. It was much better than his last job; at least he wouldn't be laughed at for ages when he told people.
Iron Man's bodyguard.
He had contacted Tony while the two were talking, but couldn't get through. Watching Killian leave, he kept his guard up and used his phone to take a picture of his license plate.
Killian also received the good news that Iron Patriot Rhodes had been captured. As long as he got him out, he could begin the next step of the plan.
However, he hadn't received news from the duo. Theoretically, they should have already lured Homelander away by now; how could he suddenly not reach them?
There was a small problem in this link, but Killian still decided to proceed according to the plan.
First, capture Pepper, then have someone pilot the Iron Patriot to capture the President, and finally, just hand over The Mandarin to the Vice President to let him take office. That way, AIM's Extremis research could be conducted above board, and the Superheroes wouldn't be able to interfere!
At that time, he would use Pepper to threaten Tony into perfecting the Extremis, and then he himself could become a Superhero, and Iron Man would become history.
Anyway, a Brave Guardian had died before, so dying another Iron Man, wouldn't that be quite reasonable?
At night, Happy was driving Pepper home. He had long since noticed a car that had been following them for a while.
However, he didn't make any strange moves, fearing he might alert the enemy. He drove toward less populated areas so that no innocent bystanders would get hurt.
"Boss, have you called the Iron Armor?" Happy asked, feeling a bit nervous.
Pepper, wearing a pale blue helmet, nodded. "Jarvis has already dispatched two Iron Armors. It should be fine."
"That's good. But, can you let me take the lead later?" Happy asked.
His job had been stolen by the Iron Armors, and he really wanted to show what he could do.
"Sigh, alright. But if they pull out guns, I'll have Jarvis take us away immediately!" Pepper instructed.
"Understood!"
Tony had always been very attentive to Pepper's safety because he knew that if any bad guys wanted to target him, they would definitely go after Pepper. She was his Achilles' heel, and an obvious one at that.
After the Battle of New York, he felt even more strongly that the unmanned Iron Armors were incredibly useful, especially for protection—they were even more effective than real people.
People might doze off, but machines wouldn't.
As long as the protection protocol was set, the Iron Armor would guard the Master's safety around the clock. It was extremely convenient.
Tony even thought that Earth could be fitted with an Iron Armor. That way, even if an alien army came again, he and Pepper could sit at home and watch the show.
Of course, due to technological limitations, this was currently just an idea.
Before long, Happy drove the car to a deserted park. Pepper hid in the back seat, watching from the rear window, ready to deploy the Iron Armor the moment things went wrong.
The car behind them also stopped. Happy got out of the car, looking very arrogant and unconcerned.
"You've got some nerve, daring to follow my car. Do you have any idea who's sitting inside?"
Killian chuckled without getting out of the car. The driver rolled up his sleeves and stepped out.
When Happy saw the man, the corners of his mouth curled up, and he felt completely at ease.
No weapon, no muscle, and not as big as him. Dealing with this guy would be a breeze.
As a bodyguard, the greatest sense of accomplishment came from protecting one's boss.
Happy raised his fists, set his stance, took small steps forward, and caught the man off guard with a solid punch to the face.
If it were an ordinary person, they would have passed out from that punch, but the driver didn't even budge an inch.
Happy was stunned for a moment, then threw another punch with all his might, but it still had no effect.
The driver didn't bother with any nonsense and simply backhanded him, sending him flying.
Pepper, who had been watching from the back window, immediately ordered the Iron Armor to protect Happy. Bullets poured out toward the driver instantly.
The driver was hit but didn't die, though he couldn't get close to the Iron Armor.
Killian quickly got out of the car. A red glow emerged from within his body, and a surge of scorching energy erupted from his mouth, slicing one of the Iron Armors in two.
Just as he was about to slice the second one, he realized it wasn't fighting back at all; it was simply dragging Happy and Pepper away.
Killian stood there, stunned and at a loss. He hadn't captured the target, and instead, his identity had been exposed.
"Let's go!" Killian roared, immediately deciding to leave America. He couldn't stay here any longer.
Anyway, he still had a backup plan. Surely that woman wouldn't have Iron Armor protection around her, too!
Far away in Wakanda, Tony also received a notification from Jarvis.
"Sir, Pepper's Guardian 01 has been destroyed, and 02 is taking her to safety."
Tony, who had been immersed in knowledge, regained a hint of clarity in his eyes.
"Arrange for other Armors to provide support. Notify me immediately if there's any situation, and make a call once she's safe."
"Understood, sir."
When Tony designed the protective Iron Armor for Pepper, he hadn't considered combat; everything was based on safety.
01 was for cover, 02 was for escape—they coordinated perfectly. With a series of backup Armors, there wouldn't be any problems.
Within ten minutes of the attack on Pepper, Natasha received information from the helicarrier stating that the attacker's name included Killian.
She immediately concluded that this Killian was the mastermind behind the explosion incidents.
She had headquarters pinpoint his location and then contacted Sean to tell him the mastermind had been found.
"Is that so? Hmm~ Send me the location later. I'll go check it out tomorrow."
Tossing the phone aside, Sean wouldn't make a special trip just for some mastermind. The main thing was that he really couldn't get away right now.
Hess was teaching Sif a few things, such as how to use her teeth and how to control her speed.
As the beneficiary, he couldn't leave.
...This night was destined to be restless.
Millis was attending a senior's birthday party.
As the most shining newcomer, she was the focus of the entire event, not to mention that she was naturally beautiful.
Having achieved such results in less than a year of hosting shows, she certainly made many people envious and jealous.
"Miss Rom, hello! I'm Marlene Ireland, the host of 'City Beauty'."
Millis was chatting with a few acquaintances when a woman with elaborate makeup and decked out in jewels approached her.
Out of politeness, Millis greeted her as well.
She thought the woman just wanted to get to know her and would leave after exchanging business cards, but who knew she was there to pick a fight.
"Oh my, Miss Rom, why are you wearing such a cheap necklace? It looks like it's made of iron. Oh ho ho~" Ireland laughed, covering her mouth.
Millis frowned. This was a Christmas gift from Sean; how could this woman call it cheap?
"Watch your mouth!"
After she said this, the people around them were stunned. No one expected that Millis, who was always gentle with others, would say something like that.
Even Ireland was taken aback. She had only come over to mock Millis because she looked so fragile; she hadn't expected such an unexpected gain!
As long as the news about the two of them arguing tonight got out, she would become famous!
You know, bad publicity is still publicity. When the time came, she could play the victim, saying she only said that because she wanted to give Millis a necklace and that Millis had misunderstood. Wouldn't the traffic just roll in?
Ireland suppressed her laughter, pushed aside her hair to reveal the diamond necklace around her neck, and continued in a mocking tone:
"I don't mean anything else, I just think the necklace around your neck doesn't suit your status, although it does suit your temperament—both so cheap."
"Oh my, it wasn't a gift from a boyfriend, was it? No way, no way!"
"You!"
The girl next to her quickly pulled Millis back, preventing her from losing her composure.
The argument between the two was loud. Everyone here was a reporter and could see what kind of game Ireland was trying to play; it was just that Millis was too young to see it.
At this moment, an old man with gray hair, looking tipsy, leaned over, took one look at the two of them, and started laughing.
"What are you laughing at?" Ireland was worried that Millis wouldn't fight back, and now someone had come to stand up for her, so she might as well insult them both.
The old man took a sip of wine, shook his head at her, and said, "Tsk, ignorance. This young lady is wearing Vibranium, isn't she? There hasn't been much of this stuff in decades. The last batch was all collected to build Captain America's shield. To use Vibranium to make a necklace now, what luxury!"
After saying this, he left, taking only a bottle of whiskey with him.
"Oh? Is this Vibranium? I've only heard of it, never seen it. Millis, you must let everyone admire your necklace tonight."
Ms. Hagg, who had been with Millis at the President's banquet earlier, stepped forward to speak up for her.
"That's right, I also want to see what the material of Captain America's shield looks like."
"Yes, yes."
More and more people stepped forward to speak up for Millis; these people knew quite a lot.
Homelander's companion—what was the difference between provoking her and courting death?
"You!" Ireland's face turned bright red. She knew her plan had failed. With them speaking up for Millis, even if she leaked it, it wouldn't make her famous.
Putting down her glass, Ireland left early in a huff. Seeing this, the others took the opportunity to try and get on good terms with Millis.
Millis was still looking at a loss, staring at the necklace around her neck in a daze. Although she didn't know what Vibranium was, it sounded like it was very precious.
But she didn't care about Vibranium; she only knew this was a gift from Sean, and to her, it was the most precious gift.
She took off the necklace, placed it in the box for them to admire. Millis found it hard to refuse those who had helped her, but she just asked them to be careful.
Just as the crowd gathered around, a waiter walked in slightly, eyes fixed intently on the target: Millis.
