Chapter 85 - Mcu-A new adventure - cap 85

On Earth, a group of shadow clones was ready to use the space arc machine.

The place where they were was a secret base specially equipped to use the space arc machine, even if the arc machine was in the vacuum of space.

If that were the case, the base would remove air from the room to regulate pressure on both sides, allowing for a stable ride.

But since the arc machine was inside the fortress on the asteroid, that wasn't necessary and the shadow clones passed through without any problems.

But things didn't end there.

They also passed small rodents and other types of life through the arc machine and then took them to a laboratory to study any effects on their bodies.

Meanwhile, another group of clones were doing their homework.

One of them, for example, was studying the spatial distortion of the arc machine.

A group of shadow clones had studied space sorcery, achieving great results, and wanted to bring these results to the technological field.

And the first thing they tried was to create a portal machine inspired by the portals created with Honda rings.

And seeing that there was no problem with the space arc machine, the project had been a success.

Meanwhile, another group of shadow clones carried the items they had previously brought to be exposed to cosmic radiation to a laboratory for further study.

While one group of Peter's shadow clones began planning the use of this asteroid for future purposes, another group of shadow clones went to check on the crew of the ship that had just crashed.

Peter's shadow clone that had traveled with the group had been destroyed when the wave of cosmic radiation passed, so they had no view of the interior of the ship.

But the monitoring spells they had previously placed inside the ship were still working, so it was possible to create portals in strategic, unguarded locations on the ship, just in time for when the ship began to take off.

Entering the ship through the sling rings, Peter's clones quickly got to work.

While one group of clones went to check the ship, the other group manipulated the ship's security cameras before beginning to check on the condition of the unconscious crew members.

And what they found was fascinating.

Through spells specifically created to see at the atomic level, they were able to witness and record the changes in the DNA of the ship's 4 crew members second by second.

It was fantastic.

The cosmic radiation not only altered the DNA of the 4 but also a very small portion of cosmic radiation remained in the bodies of the 4.

Although it was minuscule, it could be seen that it was slowly growing, absorbing the surrounding radiation, and it could be theorized that it would act as an energy reserve for the 4 for the use of their abilities.

And in Ben's case, the absorption rate was much higher, and it was possible to guess that the man would have the greatest changes in his body.

And they weren't the only ones in this situation, as the fifth crew member was the same.

Contrary to what Susan believed, Victor was still alive.

And it wasn't by chance.

If not, it's because the man was a sorcerer and his body was stronger than normal.

Peter was surprised when he learned this several weeks ago when he decided to participate in the adventure of the future Fantastic Four.

Wanting to know the difference before and after exposure to cosmic radiation, Peter secretly studied the bodies of 4.

It wasn't ethical, and Peter wasn't going to make up an excuse for his behavior.

But he was very interested in cosmic energy, and this opportunity wouldn't come around again easily.

Of course, Victor Von Doom was also going to be a subject of his study, and he was surprised when he discovered that the man was a sorcerer.

His shadow clones had discovered that the man was not normal, starting with his greater vitality compared to other normal people.

Therefore, they watched him for a while and discovered his magical abilities.

They also learned of his true intentions regarding this space trip, but since he wasn't going to intentionally cause trouble, Peter didn't interfere when he was informed.

He only took it upon himself to devise a plan to take the man by surprise and quickly knock him unconscious, before studying his body and retreating after slightly altering his memory.

For Victor Von Doom, nothing happened while he slept. And since it was night and it was natural for him to sleep, he didn't think to check his mind for any strange changes during his sleep.

Back at the burning lab, a shadow clone of Peter came to Victor's side and analyzed his changes.

Like the four who were traveling on the return ship, Victor was also affected by cosmic radiation and his DNA began to change.

As time passed and he recorded the changes in Victor's body, the shadow clone briefly considered killing the man to avoid future problems.

This shadow clone was the one who had altered Victor's memories, and knowing the man's personality, he knew perfectly well that he would blame others for his mistake and create problems.

Especially with his new powers.

Victor would definitely blame Reed for the accident, so he would surely try to eliminate him.

If I killed him now, none of that would happen.

But in the end, the shadow clone didn't do it because Peter decided to give him a chance.

Peter had previously considered eliminating the future villain Doom, but ultimately decided against it in order to avoid interfering with the fate of the world.

I preferred to let him become Doom first and kill him if he caused problems later.

His desire to study man and learn from his powers and abilities may have influenced his decision.

Having left Victor's fate to his future behavior, the shadow clone continued to review and record all the changes that cosmic energy made to Victor's DNA.

Until the man showed signs of waking up.

The return journey of the Baxter group's ship lasted 4 days and did so amid the attention of the whole world after the accident became known.

The space station where they arrived had already received the message for help that Susan sent and prepared to receive them.

Inside the group's ship, the four crew members were silent and preparing to dock the ship to the space station.

The closer they got to the space station, the more they sighed with relief that this was about to end.

But the tension in the control room was still there, and no one looked at each other during the docking of the spacecraft.

The group had woken up several hours after falling unconscious and wondered what had happened.

And remembering what happened before he fell unconscious, they immediately discussed the reason for the accident.

Reed was immediately the obvious target since he had been wrong about the timing of the arrival of the cosmic radiation cloud, but he defended himself by showing the ship's data that showed the sudden acceleration of the cosmic radiation cloud.

Upon seeing the evidence, the rest of the group knew it wasn't Reed's fault, but they were still affected by the accident.

Especially when one of their group died.

Victor had stayed behind in the laboratory on the asteroid, and according to Susan, the laboratory was on fire.

The group knew that Victor was most likely dead, and that made the group tense.

"Is Victor alive?!"

But they were surprised and delighted when, upon arriving at the space station, they were informed of the survival of their companion who had remained on the asteroid.

"Yes," said one of the astronauts.

"He used the rocket that would return the laboratory with the samples exposed to radiation and communicated with us."

"But why didn't he contact us?" Ben asked.

"Because he thinks we abandoned him," Reed said, and everyone felt bad.

Especially Susan, who put her hands to her mouth and cried because she thought she could have done something to help Victor.

"It's not your fault"

Seeing his sister's condition, Johnny went over to hug and comfort her.

Ben agreed, and so did Reed.

"We fell unconscious from the radiation and you didn't know the effects on our bodies."

"You did well to turn on the ship and bring us back so we could receive help," the man said.

"But nothing happened"

"We're fine," the woman said through tears, unaware of the changes in her and her friends' DNA.
