Kikyo and I were walking towards the barrier as the wind blew strongly towards us, but Kikyo suddenly stopped.
"I feel it. This demonic aura is sated with evil." Kikyo whispers, and I nod. "I can also sense the sacred jewel... Could Naraku be in there?" I wonder as my bad feeling begins to get worse.
"Kikyo." A familiar voice sounds out, causing me to look up.
"and (Y/N) so she is alive, but what are the two of them doing here and together no less?" Another familiar voice asks as I see Miroku and Songo riding on Kirara with confused expressions. "That's Kagome's friends, Songo and Miroku... What the hell is going on in this barrier?" I wonder as Kikyo then glances back at me.
"Listen carefully, in order for you to gain all of your Spiritual Powers, you must remember who you once were," Kikyo informs as she then looks to the front again. "Who I once was?" I wonder with a confused expression.
"Stay here," Kikyo instructs as she then begins walking towards the barrier. My eyes widen as I see the barrier open up, allowing Kikyo to walk in. "Why tell me something like that and then go in alone?" I wonder as I see the barrier close behind Kikyo.
"You see that?! She walked right in!" Songo points out.
(To Tsubaki)
"Inuyasha seems to have chosen death at the hands of the woman." Tsubaki insists, causing Naraku to chuckle, which makes Tsubaki glance back at him.
"Naraku, you are truly evil to force Kikyo's reincarnation to kill the man she loves... Once again." Tsubaki points out, but then the demon puppet of Naraku falls to the floor in pieces.
"Huh?" Tsubaki sounds out as she turns around to see Kikyo standing there.
"Hmm? Kikyo?" Tsubaki questions as she stares at her in disbelief, while Kikyo begins walking towards her.
"Who are you?" Kikyo asks.
(To Naraku)
(Naraku's POV)
"It seems Kikyo had made her appearance," I smirk as I stare into Kanna's mirror.
"Kikyo has? Do not underestimate the power of that priestess. Are you sure we can trust her?" Kagura asks, causing me to shift my eyes to Kagura.
"Let her continue. We can take care of her after we see what she has planned." I answer. "I still need to find out why she's having (Y/N) traveling with her..." I think as I look back at the mirror.
(To (Y/N) )
"I'm thankful (Y/N)'s alive, but seeing how she's acting, it's obvious she still hasn't recovered her memories." Songo addresses and Miroku nods.
"Yes, but has she really been traveling with Kikyo all this time, and why are the two of them here?" Miroku asks, causing Songo, who was staring at me, while I was stare at the blue barrier with a concerned expression.
"And the enemy is so close yet out of our reach." Songo points out, causing Miroku to look over at the barrier as well.
"The dark priestess' curse is working its evil even as we speak." Miroku insists, causing me to glance over at them. "So that's why Kikyo would know this person, they're a Dark Priestess... This isn't Naraku's doing, then?" I wonder as Songo looks over at Miroku.
"Kagome won't be able to endure it for much longer," Songo states. "Endure. What happened to Kagome?!" I wonder as my eyes widen.
"Breaking through this barrier might be next to impossible." Miroku declares, causing me to turn to them.
"Hey Demon Slayer, Monk!" I call out, causing them both to turn to me.
"You wanna tell me what you two let happen to my cousin?!" I exclaim as I point to them, and their eyes widen.
"Y-you remember?" Songo questions, and I glance away from them.
"I only remembered that Kagome's my cousin. So don't you weirdo's go getting your hopes up." I respond as I turn away from them.
"Kagome was afflicted with a curse set by the Dark Priestess who is residing within this barrier," Miroku informs, causing me to turn to them.
"So that's it..." I trail off, and Songo nods.
"Yes, do you know of a way to break this barrier (Y/N)?" Songo asks, causing me to glance over at the barrier. "I haven't gotten the hang of using Spiritual Power yet." I think as I hold up my hand and stare at it.
"Songo-"
"Well, it's better than doing nothing, Miroku." Songo interrupts Miroku, and I let out a sigh.
"I'll try seeing if I can do anything down here, while y'all see if you can find anything from up there." I made known as I continued concentrating on my hand.
"Right." Miroku nods.
"Kirara!" Songo bellows, causing Kirara to sound out, while flying away.
"I need to visualize the Spiritual Power and use it as I did when I shot the bow and arrow..." I trailed off as I closed my eyes, trying to concentrate.
(To Kikyo)
"What is this? This girl, Kagome, she is your reincarnation, is she not, Kikyo?" Tsubaki asks, causing Kikyo to glance over and see the blackened Sacred Jewel surrounded by Tsubaki's serpent.
"Tsubaki, I see that you have put a curse on Kagome. Your powers will be useless on the girl." Kikyo answers.
"Hmph, don't underestimate me. Kikyo, I have changed since you last defeated me." Tsubaki informs that a blue scar begins to appear over one of her eyes.
"So I see. One glance tells me the entire account. Tsubaki, I know that you sold your soul to a Demon in exchange for youth." Kikyo states as she narrows her eyes at Tsubaki.
"Clever girl. For youth and beauty, though." Tsubaki insists as she puts on a deep in thought expression. Suddenly, Tsubaki's scar begins to disappear, and she sounds out with a smirk.
"I wasn't able to steal the Sacred Jewel from you, but I collaborated with a Demon and hence gained eternal youth and beauty, not to mention my own Demon power." Tsubaki proclaims.
"How foolish." Kikyo remarks.
"You're one to talk. Tell me, how is it that you appear before me, looking exactly as you did 50 years ago?" Tsubaki questions, but then she gasps as she begins to see yellow and red lights emanating from Kikyo's body.
"Kikyo, you-you're dead. That body that you're inhabiting is neither mortal nor that of a demon. It's a counterfeit. Kikyo, you walk only by the grace of borrowed spirits, yet you dare to lecture me?" Tsubaki asks.
"I merely came here to ascertain the cause of the Demon Aura. I care not what happens to you, Tsubaki." Kikyo answers, but then looks away.
"They're coming closer." Kikyo insists, causing Tsubaki's eyes to widen.
"Oh!" Tsubaki sounds out, causing her to look over at the Jewel that began to lose its black color.
"What?" Tsubaki questions.
(To (Y/N) )
Opening my eyes, I look at my hand to see a sliver of light beginning to dance in my hand, causing my eyes to widen. "It's so small, can I do it?" I wonder as I go to walk over to the barrier.
"Huh? Inuyasha! Kagome!" I hear Miroku call out, causing me to stop in my tracks and look over to see Inuyasha in the sky with Kagome on his back. "Kagome..." I think as I watched her draw her bow with an arrow.
(To Tsubaki)
"What's happening? The jewel's being purified. Who's doing this? Is it your reincarnation, this Kagome?" Tsubaki asks as she glances back at Kikyo.
"I already told you, Tsubaki. A curse by the likes of you will have no effect on Kagome." Kikyo answers with a glare.
"This is your fault, for your unwanted appearance!" Tsubaki shouts.
(To (Y/N) )
I watched as Kagome straightened her line and aimed at the barrier.
"This barrier's coming down!" Kagome proclaims as she shoots the arrow that was covered in Spiritual Power, and once it struck the barrier, it began to dissolve. "Her power is so strong even while she's inflicted with a curse, wow." I think as my eyes widened.
"Huh? Kagome broke through it." Miroku sounds out as a heavy breeze flew passed me. "This Dark Priestess's power is no joke..." I think as the wind chilled me to my very core. Suddenly, I see Inuyasha and Kagome land a few feet in front of me, and I begin to feel a bit nervous.
(To Tsubaki)
She was standing at the door of her shrine, which creaked a little for her to see outside.
"Oh, no. Kagome missed him." Tsubaki remarks, causing Kikyo to glare at her and then draw her bow and shoot two arrows toward Tsubaki, pinning her to the door by her robe.
"Kikyo, what are you doing?" Tsubaki asks as she looks over at her.
"Silence! What did you just say?!" Kikyo exclaims, causing Tsubaki to narrow her eyes at Kikyo.
"Speak the truth, you attempted to have Kagome slay Inuyasha." Kikyo points out, causing Tsubaki to chuckle.
"What ails you? Some unpleasant memories, perhaps? You are correct. I drove Kagome to shoot the arrow." Tsubaki informs, causing Kikyo to bring down her bow and her hand to her side, balled up in a fist.
"Ironic? It was the same way that you killed Inuyasha years ago." Tsubaki jibes, causing Kikyo to step forward, while smashing the demon puppet's remains under her foot. Slowly walking towards Tsubaki, Kikyo then grabs Tsubaki by her hair.
"Tsubaki, do as you please with Kagome. I have no intention of interfering. But if you should ever do any harm to Inuyasha, I will personally see to your demise." Kikyo threatens as she glares daggers at Tsubaki, who then reaches up for the arrow in front of her face.
"You wench!" Tsubaki bellows as she quickly pulls it out, while Kikyo jumps back, dodging it.
"How dare you presume I would fear you?!" Tsubaki exclaims.
"Be warned. Heed my words. It is no idle threat. One more thing, Kagome is not the only one you should watch out for." Kikyo informs as she then disappears.
(To (Y/N) )
"(Y/N), I-is that really you?" Kagome asks, and I nod slightly.
" So you're alive... But why are you here?" Inuyasha questions as he narrows his eyes at me. "Alive, did they all think I was dead?" I wonder with a confused expression.
"Inuyasha!" Songo calls out, causing him to look over to see Kirara landing on the ground with Songo and Miroku on her back.
"Kagome!" Miroku bellows.
"Good timing." Inuyasha insists.
"It's inside. I'm sure that the Sacred Jewel is inside. So is the Dark Priestess, the woman who cursed me with her spell." Kagome states, and I nod.
"Yeah, that'd be the only explanation for this terrible demonic aura I'm sensing," I inform, causing them to glance at me, but then a wind begins to blow towards us. Suddenly, the sound of the shrine doors creaking open caused us all to look over at the shrine and see a woman with white hair and a giant serpent wrapped around her.
"Are you the Dark Priestess?" Inuyasha asks, breaking the silence.
"I am known as Tsubaki. Are you Inuyasha, Kikyo's lover?" Tsubaki's questions caused me to put on a concerned expression. "Inuyasha and Kikyo are lovers?" I wonder, but I then shake my head.
"Hey, Tsubaki-"
"Where is Kikyo? Did you do something to her?!" I exclaim as I interrupt Miroku, causing him to nod.
"Yeah, I know she was in there." Miroku declares.
"Don't deny it. I saw her as well." Songo adds, causing Tsubaki to smirk with her eyes closed.
"Hmm. That Kikyo. Inuyasha, she came to ask me to spare your life." Tsubaki informs, causing Inuyasha's eyes to widen.
"She can't face death because she loves you, so she borrows the spirits of the dead." Tsubaki insists, causing me to scoff, which makes her look over at me.
"As if we came here because we wanted to know who was behind this Demonic Aura. Turns out it's just a foolish bitch, who has my cousin under a spell." I accuse, while pointing at her.
"Foolish bitch?" Tsubaki asks, causing me to smirk.
"(Y/N), watch over Kagome," Inuyasha instructs as he sets her down, and I nod, while making my way over to her. "Yeah, kinda don't have my sword anymore." I think as I let out a sigh, bending down to Kagome.
"Are you all right, Kagome?" Songo questions as she rushes over to us.
"Yes," Kagome responds, but then turns to me with wide eyes.
"You're alive and you remember... I'm so glad." Kagome says with a weak smile.
"I don't know why y'all keep thinking I'm dead, but I don't have all my memory back; I just remember that you're my cousin," I inform, but Inuyasha then catches my eyes as I see him walking towards Tsubaki.
"What's the deal? You seem to know an awful lot about all of us, and you used a foul curse to possess Kagome and make her try and kill me. I bet you've made a pact with Naraku." Inuyasha hypothesizes, causing my eyes to widen. "So Kikyo was right, Naraku was after Kagome. My precious cousin..." I think as I stare at Kagome.
"Ha! And what of it?" Tsubaki asks.
"Well, I'll tell you what of it," Inuyasha answers as he grabs a hold of his sword.
"You're going down!" Inuyasha bellows as he rushes towards Tsubaki.
"Tessaiga-"
"Draw your sword, and Kagome will die!" Tsubaki proclaims, while interrupting Inuyasha, who stops in his tracks.
"Pathetic fool. My curse has not yet been broken. As long as I hold the Sacred Jewel in my hand, Kagome's life belongs to me." Tsubaki explains as she shows us the black sacred jewel in her hands.
"Why, that-" Songo is cut off when Tsubaki shuts her hand, causing Kagome to groan out in pain.
"Kagome!" Songo and I chorus with a worried expression. "That damn bitch." I think as Kagome lies against me.
"You dirty, conniving witch." Inuyasha curses.
"I will do anything in order to possess the whole sacred jewel." Tsubaki insists as she makes her way towards Inuyasha. Suddenly stopping a scar forms over Tsubaki's eye, causing her eye to glow a brilliant scarlet, causing a Demonic Aura to seep out of it.
"Look at that!" Kagome chirps, causing my eyes to widen as a grey fog begins forming out of her eye.
"DOG BOY WATCH OUT!" I call out, causing him to dodge.
"That Priestess, she harbors Demons inside her body!" Miroku points out that the smoke finally takes on the form of a giant Demonic white Fox. Jumping up towards it, Inuyasha tries to use its claws. However, unaffected, the Fox steps towards Inuyasha as he lands, going to reach for his sword.
"Don't draw your sword, Inuyasha, or I shall curse Kagome to death." Tsubaki chuckles, causing me to clench my already made fist. "I have to do something..." I think as I look down at the pure black shards.
"Fight your pathetic battle and die at the hands of my demon." Tsubaki demands.
"The Dark Priestess has rendered Inuyasha virtually helpless," Miroku states as Kagome puts her hand to her throat with a thoughtful expression. "Maybe I can..." I think as I look over at Tsubaki with a glare.
"But what can we do about it?" Songo questions.
"Waste that Demon, Inuyasha!" Kagome's voice rings out, causing me to turn back over to her with a worried expression.
"Ha ha! Kill him, my precious Demon!" Tsubaki instructs, causing the Demon Fox to jump up and go to land on top of Inuyasha, but he dodges it.
"Iron Reaver, Soul Stealer!" Inuyasha shouts as he turns back head for the Demon Fox, who was also heading towards Inuyasha with outstretched claws. They clash, but it sends Inuyasha tumbling backwards, causing me to look away and over to my hand.
"Oh, Inuyasha," Kagome says with worry written all over her face, but I then hear Tsubaki laugh once more, causing me to clench my fist. "I have to try. I'll purify the shards in Kagome's neck!" I think putting on a determined expression.
"(Y/N)?" Songo questions, and I look up at her.
"I'm going to try something, I just need some time," I respond, causing her to nod, and I shut my eyes. "Remember how it feels and let the purification surround my body." I think trying to concentrate.
