Chapter 1 - CHRISTIAN

If I didn't love the punk that forced me to come here, I would have beat him up. This place was crowded with bloody idiots. My displeasure wasn't at all hidden and my frown could possibly cause a permanent mark on my face. Isiah must have noticed it too.

"Oh, loosen up a bit. It'll be fun"

Oh, yes it'll be fun just as soon as I beat the crap out of everyone here.

"I'm not interested in fun, Isiah" I deadpanned. I was only here because he wanted to come back home but didn't want to be alone. I follow Isiah out of the awfully crowded airport throwing a glare at the black man screaming about something he was selling. What a pest.

"Welcome to Nigeria, the giant of Africa" Isiah was far too excited about this.

"If this is your giant you have no hope" worn down buildings, crowds of people outside under torn umbrellas selling street snacks, some carrying cold... sodas I think on their heads and selling. I can't believe people buy that. There are a few modest buildings, cars and a double decker bus receiving passengers. 'Taxi?' 'No, Nasha's picking us up' Isiah was now fiddling with phone and pointing up to the air to get service. "The cuz?" Isiah nodded, he really just nodded at me, and he knew how much I hate it when he doesn't answer me with words. I avert my gaze from the idiot in a jumper that's apparently my best friend and look around realizing people are staring at me. Right, what did I think, it's not every day an all-black country sees a white dude on the streets. Why did I agree to this?

"She gonna be long?"

"Who?"

"Nasha"

"Oh, no" Isiah looks up from his phone and glances behind me "She's right here"

I follow his gaze to the girl, with long brown braids, the most beautiful brown eyes I have ever seen wearing a hoodie and cargo jeans with the white pair of jordans. Her braids were tied into a pony tail and she had a pair of glasses on. She ran towards us, or Isiah to be exact and wrapped him in huge bear hug. "I've missed you so much Isy." Her gentle soft voice spoke, she was cute as hell. Isiah wrapped his hands around her waist and lifted her up, before placing her down and kissing her cheek "Missed you too Nasha". From what I had gathered, Nasha was an Orphan, her father left her and her mom when she conceived and her mom died when she was 10. Isiah's parents took her in after that, so her and Isiah bonded really well. She was like a sister to him. "Isy? Never heard that one before" I tease him. He shoots me a glare and introduces Nasha to me "Christian, this is Nasha, Nasha, Christian". "Pleasure to meet you Nasha" I stretch my hand to shake her and I could swear she knelt a bit while shaking my hand. "Nice to meet you too sir, let me take your bag" She spoke fluently but her Nigerian accent was still there "Sir? I'm the same age as your cousin, call me Christian" I give her a small smile and she nods and leads us to the car. We load the luggage in the trunk and Isiah sits at back because he wanted to be able to fall asleep in the back while I sat up front with Nasha. Isiah said there wasn't and international airport in Ibadan, where they live so we would be driving down there from Lagos. Nasha sets the car in motion and we head out. This was going to be a long drive...
