Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Creation of the Cosmos

As for Tartarus, He had not even occupied the edge of the universe before He was once again driven back by the boundless, formless might of the firmament.

And the great Lord of the Cosmos laid down endless darkness beneath the boundless earth—this was the most indestructible bulwark.

He drove Tartarus even farther away, setting darkness as yet another barrier to block Tartarus's encroachment.

From then on, if Tartarus wished to devour the world, He would first have to devour this endless darkness.

But so long as the primary material world was not destroyed, this darkness would never disappear, and the world would forever possess a solid shield to resist Tartarus.

Tartarus, that primordial force representing void, annihilation, and ending, was no longer a direct threat to the material world.

The universe continued, under the vast flow of the ocean Oceanus, to expand without cease—expanding steadily at a speed beyond space and time, its territory growing broader by the day.

This time, the power of the dark-night system was completely crushed; its core authority was stripped, and it could no longer even be called the "dark-night system."

For the Sky-Father, the eternal lord of spirituality, no longer bestowed spirituality upon darkness.

Darkness became purely a tool, forever left only with a feeble and humble instinct, becoming a pure concept and law.

Without the bestowal of the lord of spirituality, darkness itself could no longer possess spirit.

The authority to govern darkness was not left at all to Nyx, the Night, but was completely confiscated by Uranus and brought under the control of the material world.

Moreover, since the sources of light and day had previously been ruthlessly plundered by Uranus into the material world, the authority of Night had already been split in two at that time.

Henceforth, the lineage of the dark-night gods could only be called the Night-god system.

By now, all gods in the entire cosmos, all who possessed spirituality, all intelligent existences, no longer harbored any thought of defying the great sovereign of the universe.

The Sky-Father Uranus became, beyond dispute, the God of gods, the King of gods, the Lord of the Cosmos.

From this point on, the firmament was the greatest!

Heaven was the highest!

His majesty admitted of no doubt!

The Lord of Heaven, Uranus, named His "fourth son," the light of the heavenly bodies, the lord of radiance, Hyperion (also transliterated in Chinese as "Xu Pei Li Yong"; Ancient Greek: περων; English: Hyperion).

Immediately thereafter He created His "fifth son," the Weaver of Death, the Ever-Cycling One—Iapetus (Ancient Greek: απετ; English: Iapetus).

From then on, the world could cycle on its own, becoming a self-contained whole; Tartarus was completely expelled outside the world, without a shred of opportunity left to Him.

Matter would no longer dissipate and drift away; Tartarus could no longer gnaw at the world—unless the world truly and utterly came to its end could Tartarus devour it completely.

At the same time, anything harmful to the world—"waste" generated within the world—was expelled by Iapetus, directed precisely into Tartarus, and there ground down and swallowed by Him.

Thus Tartarus not only ceased to be a threat; He had even been reduced to the world's "trash can," forever bearing the refuse of the cosmos.

This great ship of the universe finally became a self-contained whole in the endless void, and its borders were continually widened by Oceanus, the vast ocean that encircled the world.

And the world, from that primordial chaos and disorder, became ever more inclined to order.

At this moment, order had already triumphed over disorder.

The world began to flourish with unstoppable momentum; the evolution of the world grew ever more magnificent and variegated.

Thus the great Sky-Father Uranus, the supremely exalted All-Father, by His mighty divine power, created His sacred "eldest daughter"—Theia (Ancient Greek: Θεα).

She was the goddess who represented the sacred, the mistress of sight and perception.

From then on, the perceptions of the world were no longer merely the gods' vague mutual sensing through laws and elements.

Now everything could be actually seen, truly beheld, clearly observed.

When the entire world could be truly seen, the great Sky-Father suddenly discovered that within His and the Earth-Mother's grand "bodies" there was such deathly stillness—no trace of life.

Thus His supreme will broke that stillness within the cosmos and generously bestowed "independence" upon many fundamental elements!

Within the "bodies" of Himself and the Earth-Mother Gaia, the fundamental elements of the entire universe began to "flow" and "operate," and the whole cosmos was thereby infused with vigorous life, brimming with "vitality."

All elements could freely combine and interact; the evolution of the world fully entered a variegated stage!

Now, not only was the cosmos as a whole continually expanding and moving, its own interior also began a subtler motion, and the order of "motion" thus became clearer.

The Sky-Father named His "second daughter," who governs the rhythm of the cosmos—Rhea (Greek: Ρεα).

When the world itself began to move, the world that had now begun to grow more colorful also, inevitably, produced new disorder.

Thus the Sky-Father, with His profound wisdom, created the embodiment of endowed order and instituted program.

His "third daughter"—Themis (Ancient Greek: Θμι; English: Themis)—arose in response to the time.

She is the divine law that forms the basis for the operation of the cosmos and the world, the most fundamental and primordial sacred order in the universe.

Under the wise ordering of the goddess of order, the operation of the cosmos began to be neat and methodical, in good order.

Because she, by the Sky-Father's will, arranges the order of the cosmic world, she is therefore also the supreme goddess of sacred justice!

The Sky-Father's will is the absolutely supreme sacred justice!

When all had entered the proper course, the supremely exalted divine lord then created "memory"; His "fourth daughter," who bears the past, present, and future—Mnemosyne (Ancient Greek: Μνημοσνη; English: Mnemosyne)—appeared.

She is the goddess of memory, language, and writing; she is the source of knowledge and the foundation of learning.

From then on, knowledge had a basis for accumulation and continuation, and the spark of civilization could be passed down.

And it was precisely because of her that all life possessed the cornerstone for the development of civilization.

Thus the world had a past and present, and a future; the concepts of time and civilization thereby became complete.

When the dawn of civilization appeared and the intellect transformed from spirituality kept evolving, the Sky-Father then created His tenth "child."

The goddess of pure light, of radiance, of penetration—of bright intellect—Phoebe (Ancient Greek: Φοη).

She possessed the great divine power to discern all things, to see (calculate) the future.

The world was already in good order, and had been completely brought under the absolute dominion of the Sky-Father Uranus.

At this, the Lord of the Cosmos was well pleased.

But the interior of the world was still empty, occupied by dead stillness, and the Sky-Father did not like it.
