The air in Bibi Dong's chamber was thick with tension and anticipation as her labor reached its climax. Beneath a soft blanket, the head maid worked with steady hands, guiding the first twin into the world. A head of delicate blonde hair emerged, and Qian Rexune was born, her tiny cries piercing the room. Bibi Dong, drenched in sweat and pain, gazed at her daughter, her heart swelling with a joy she had never known in her future memories.
Bibi Dong: My Renxue... seeing you now, my heart is alight with love, not the hatred that consumed me before. In that cursed future, I pushed you away, but now? I fight these dark thoughts, though they claw at me still. Your crying face washes them away, my little angel. I'll protect you, raise you with the love I failed to give.
Bibi Dong's eyes softened as she watched Rexune's tear-streaked face, her pain momentarily forgotten. The evil impulses of her past life flickered, but the sight of her daughter extinguished them. The head maid handed Rexune to the junior maid, who gently cleaned and swaddled her, preparing for the next birth.
The head maid's brow furrowed in surprise. "Twins... rare for a high-level soul master," she murmured. "The stronger the soul power, the harder conception becomes, let alone twins."
Twenty seconds later, another head emerged, crowned with black hair woven with faint red strands. Yoriichi was born, his tiny form meeting the light of the world for the first time since his month in the womb.
His eyes, half-closed, glimmered maroon, taking in the vibrant soul power pulsing around him. The healers—two women at soul levels 79 and 76, and a man at level 84—began their work, their glowing hands weaving recovery energy over Bibi Dong to ease her pain and mend her body.
The junior maid presented Rexune to Qian Xunji first, who cradled her with a rare smile. "She has my blonde hair, my purple eyes," he said, his voice tinged with pride, though he noted her features favored him more than Bibi Dong.
The junior maid held Yoriichi, his silence worrying the head maid. "Is the boy alright?" she asked, peering at him. Yoriichi, sensing the soul power around him, observed silently, his infant mind sharp from his reincarnated soul. Then, instinctively, he let out a cry, and the room exhaled in relief.
AMV
Yoriichi: This light, this soul power—it's stronger than I sensed in the womb. It flows like the air I once breathed, fueling my resolve. I'm Yoriichi, reborn, my sister's light beside me. My eyes can barely stay open, yet I see... this world holds power I'll wield to protect them.
Bibi Dong: My twins, my heart—Renxue's cries, Yoriichi's silence, both so precious. Unlike my future self, I see their beauty, their purity. I'll love you fiercely, raise you to trust me, to shine as my legacy. and forge them into strength, my perfect son and daughter.
Qian Xunji took Yoriichi, his smile faltering slightly. "Black hair, red streaks... maroon eyes," he noted, pleased a boy was born as an heir but dissatisfied with the lack of resemblance. "Not like me," he muttered, masking it with a false grin.
He passed Yoriichi to Qian Daoliu, who observed the boy closely. Daoliu sensed no angelic aura like Rexune's faint, majestic glow—her seraph spirit already evident—but detected a sharp, silent aura from Yoriichi. This boy will be extraordinary, he thought, a smile tugging at his lips.
Daoliu handed Yoriichi to Golden Crocodile Douluo, whose eyes widened at the same sharp aura. "Unique, like his sister," he grunted. Meanwhile, Rexune's cries grew louder, and the maids, helpless, returned her to Bibi Dong.
The moment she nestled in her mother's arms, Rexune quieted, her tiny face calming. Bibi Dong smirked inwardly. Try to snatch her, Xunji? Our bond is unbreakable, stronger than my future self's failures.
Yoriichi, still crying, was passed to Bibi Dong. She cradled both twins, one in each arm, soothing them with soft words. "My little angels, my sun and seraph," she whispered, her voice a lullaby. The twins' eyes met, and they smiled at each other, a radiant connection that stunned the onlookers. "Such a bond," the level 76 healer whispered, awed by their unity.
Qian Xunji watched silently, a glint in his eyes. I'll train them harshly, especially the boy, he thought, his earlier dissatisfaction fueling plans to mold Yoriichi into a loyal Spirit Hall warrior.
Qian Daoliu caught the glint, saying nothing, but joy stirred within him. Twins, heirs to Spirit Hall, he mused, noting a slight tremor from the Angel God statue, confirming Rexune's destiny. The girl will lead, but this boy... he's something else.
Yoriichi: Her voice soothes me, her love a shield. Rexune's smile mirrors mine, our bond eternal. This soul power around us... I'll master it, protect them both, as Yoriichi reborn.
