Vex flapped his wings furiously, causing sparks of light to scatter around him.
"Fack! I thought I struck gold, but it turns out I only killed three oversized chickens that weren't even worth a meal!"
Vex let out a long sigh and muttered under his breath, "Looks like in this world, the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward… but only if they're actually strong."

With a flap of his glowing wings, Vex flew away at full speed.
He didn't dare to linger around the Golden Lightning Eagle's nest any longer. Even though the mother eagle wasn't around, just the thought of her returning sent chills down his spine. If she found him here with her slaughtered offspring, not even a miracle could save him.
The wind howled past his wings as he soared higher, weaving through the dense trees of the Dark Mist Forest. His glowing body cut through.
As he flew through the Darkmist Forest, Vex's glowing eyes were darting across the system map. He was heading straight toward the treasure's location.
Although the area was swarming with countless red lights, he still clenched his beak tightly. He knew that if he truly wanted to get stronger, then he had no choice—he had to go there.

By the time Vex reached the treasure's location, night had already fallen. His glowing body cut through the darkness, casting light in every direction.
He landed on a tall tree close to the treasure site. Perching there, his radiance made him look like a miniature sun, illuminating the surroundings.
But the moment the light spread, Vex broke out in cold sweat. All around, countless Magic Beasts turned their cold, predatory gazes toward him.
Because of his glowing body, he had instantly become the target of every beast present.
Vex's heart pounded wildly as he swallowed nervously.
"Uh… will you guys believe me if I say I'm just passing by? You can all carry on—I'll just, uh… take a nap here." He forced out a dry laugh.
The surrounding Magic Beasts fell silent for a moment, almost speechless at his words. But upon realizing it was only a weak Light Spirit Bird, they quickly lost interest and shifted their attention away from him.
Only then did Vex finally breathe a sigh of relief, his tiny body trembling. He had been terrified.
"Damn it… I really need to learn how to control this body light," Vex muttered in frustration.
He cautiously scanned the area again. The weakest Magic Beast here was already at First Order – Level 6, while the strongest ones were at the same level as the Golden Lightning Eagle and the Violent Earth Rat—First Order – Level 9.
Finally, shifting his gaze away from the Magic Beasts, he narrowing his eyes as he tried to see what kind of treasure that could possibly attract so many powerful beasts to gather here…
