"This world… is really dangerous," Vex whispered to himself, his voice shaking. "Even a lowest monster here can kill me without effort."
Vex squeezed himself into the hollow of a tree. Slowly, he poked his small glowing head out of the hole and scanned the surroundings. Seeing that no one in the surrounding . He let out a long breath of relief.
He had never felt fear like this before. Just one glance … and he was certain that he was going to die. His whole body was frozen in fear and his instincts was telling him to run, run as fast as he could.
Inside the dark hole, his body light illuminated the surroundings. Looking around, he was surprised that the space inside was mach lager then he had expected .
Vex dragged his small glowing body to the center of the hollow and lay down. He had really exhausted all his strength form running and he desperately needed to rest and recover his strength.

Vex slowly opened his eyes, the faint glow of his body casting light across the hollow. " This isn't a dream after all."
"If I want to survive in this world, I have to get stronger. I must evolve… no matter what it takes."
With a thought, Vex open the system map. Looking at the dense red marks covering the screen, cold sweat ran down his glowing body.
Vex suddenly noticed a red light near his location. Its glow was flickering… fading bit by bit.
"Ahh… the light is fading. That means this guy is about to die." Vex's eyes suddenly lit up.
He poked his small head out of the hollow and saw that not far from the tree he was hiding in, a dog-like magic beast lay sprawled on the ground, its body was drenched in blood. Its fur was all red with a pair of small horns on its head and a gaping hole in its abdomen.
As Vex stared at the dying beast, a translucent screen flickered before his eyes.

"A First Order—Level 6 beast…" Vex's narrowed eyes . "This guy is one level higher than the Shadow Wolf and that Fierce Poisonous Snake.
He glanced at the Fleming Dog's bloody body and let out a long breath of relief.
"But how can this guy still be alive with injuries like that?"
Vex's glowing eyes flickered. "This may be my chance to gain experience points and level up."
He glanced at the system map. After confirming that no red lights were near his location, he spread his faint wings and cautiously flew out of the hollow.
He landed a short distance away from the Fleming Dog.
Up close, the beast's heavy breaths echoed in the silence, its blood pooling beneath it. Looking at the Fleming dog body that was about three times lager then his, Vex's tiny body was trembling nervously.
He was really nervous as he stared at the dying monster.
The Flaming Dog suddenly turned its head, its dim eyes were lock on Vex glowing body
The moment their gazes met, Vex's heart almost stopped beating. A wave of killing intently pressed down on his tiny body, and he felt as if death itself had crawled up his spine.
Terrified, he took two steps back, his glowing were wings trembling in fear.
But then he clenched his beak shut, forcing himself to hold his ground.
"This is my chance to level up, I can miss this golden opportunity…" taking a deep breath. Vex glowing eyes hardened as he stared back at the injured Flaming Dog.

Vex without giving the Fleming dog any chance use his only skill, the Flash Bur skill.
A blinding explosion of light erupted from Vex's body. The Flaming Dog, caught off guard, let out a low growl. The brightness was so intense that it had no choice but to squeeze its eyes shut, shielding itself from the dazzling glow.
But as it closed its eyes, it suddenly felt an even sharper pain from the wound in its abdomen. The Flaming Dog raised its head and let out a roar of agony. Its blurry gaze fell upon Vex—still standing in the same spot—but now holding a small, glowing red crystal sphere tightly in his beak.
The Flaming Dog look at Vex with it's magic core in his beak and let out one last low, unwilling roar before collapsing with a heavy thud. It didn't even understand how a low level creature like this light spirit bird managed to dig out its magic core before death claimed it.
Vex stared at the beast's lifeless body and let out a long, shaky breath.
When he had activated Flash Burst, he had thrown every ounce of his strength into it, then darted forward at full speed. In that instant, while the Flaming Dog was blinded and helpless, he had ripped its magic core free from the wound in it abdomen .
