As the music thickened, so did the tension. Xylander was still deep in conversation with Alexander, convinced Daniel was at his side — unaware the man was nowhere near.
"Please, Alex, this many people shouldn't be allowed again, no matter what." Xylander warned. Alexander nodded; he could see how uncomfortable Xyle was.
"Nobody's going to just slip and leave — my security gadgets are everywhere. Anyone leaving will alert me," Alexander assured. But despite the reassurance, Xylander still wasn't at ease; his conscience insisted it would be safer to invite only a few relatives and close friends. Better safe than sorry. When Alexander saw Xylander wouldn't be calmed, he decided to reduce the guest list.
"So why don't we cut them out? Anyone who wasn't part of the inner-circle invites goes home. Alright with you?" Alexander suggested. Xylander finally smiled.
