When he woke up, he felt breath on the back of his neck first, then the arm draped heavy and possessive over his stomach. Eyes still scrunched up in confusion, he trailed the arm to the face of the owner and baulked. For one disoriented moment, Elias lay still, listening to the subtle shift of Cassian's breathing behind him.
Elias blinked at the ceiling. What the hell was happening?
Elias shifted, meaning to slide away without waking the Alpha, but the arm around him tightened, holding him still.
"Don't," Cassian murmured, voice still sleep-rough.
A shiver rolled down Elias's spine. He hated how his stomach fluttered at the sound.
"I just— I need to pee," Elias muttered.
