Cassian felt in his gut that something was wrong the moment he saw the conflicted expression on Elias' face. After the omega ran out of the room, Cassian wondered if he should go after him. His friend might be hurt. He reached for his phone and called for one of his, Micah.
"Did you follow him?" Cassian all but growled into the phone.
On the other end, Micah said, "Yes. He took a taxi."
Cassian entered the bathroom to brush his teeth. "Keep your eyes on him." He disconnected the line, freshening up.
Not long after as he entered his closet to pick some clothes to put on. His phone lit up with a ring. "Sir, he's at Central Park. Looks like he's meeting a woman."
"Is it Kenzie Williams?"
"No, sir." His first thought was irrational and stupidly possessive, wondering who it could be that had his Elias looking like that?
Hair messy, skin bruised from Cassian's mouth. Cassian's pulse kicked into a sharp, violent gear.
"Describe her?" he demanded.
