Ryker found himself in a blue limbo filled with nothing but his memories.
From the second he was born to now.
He walked towards one specific one.
"Every time I remember that incident, I always want to see more." He thought to himself, pointing his finger at a memory where he was still a kid, carrying his sister through the battlefield.
His finger went through it first, then his whole body came next.
Reality stirred around him; he opened his eyes.
Kid Ryker was running helplessly, tightly carrying his baby sister close to his chest.
"Don't worry! I'll protect you! Even at the cost of my life!" Kid Ryker muttered, tears rolling down his face, as he recollected the last memory he had with his father.
Suddenly.
His sister started crying.
"Wha- No! Please stop crying! I don't have anything to feed you!" He said, staring at his crying sister.
SMACK!
THUMP!
Ryker collided with another person, making him fall on the hard surface.
He looked in front of him, horrified.
A towering figure stood before him, carefully eying him up and down. He held a machete in his hand.
"I-I apologize, mister! It was a mistake I promised." Ryker mumbled, holding back the tears from coming out.
"Why were you running away?" The man muttered, lending a hand to Ryker.
Ryker glanced at the offered hand but didn't take it, afraid.
The man opened his mouth. "You know that is considered discourteous in my kingdom?" A villainous smile manifested on his face.
"And do you know what we award ill-mannered people?" The man crouched down, glaring at Ryker.
He whispered in Ryker's ears."Decapitation…"
Ryker was confused, but out of nowhere, he started running away.
"Oh, don't run away from me!" The man shouted, starting to chase the kid.
In a few seconds, he had already caught up with him.
His hand reached for Ryker's hair.
But unexpectedly, Ryker looked back, a glare imminent in his face.
Strange crimson-like particles covered the kid's eyes.
Without knowing, the stranger stepped on a crimson flame.
In a split second, it devoured him whole.
He started screaming, scratching his face violently with his nails.
But that was just an illusion; in reality, nothing had happened.
The man fell on his bottom, his facial expression expressed a horror he had never experienced before.
He started crawling away.
Ryker turned back, surprised that the man hadn't caught him yet.
But he had never expected what was happening in front of his eyes.
The man, realising Ryker had stopped running, started screaming. "No! No! Get away! Don't come near me!" He covered his face with his hand.
Ryker stepped closer to the man, recognizing the man's unknown fear.
He looked down at the pathetic man and whispered. "In my village, we punish pathetic people like you until they beg for death." He unsheathed his sword, given to him by his father, and swung it at the man.
The sword dug into his leg. An agonizing scream rang out. But it was quickly shut down by a hit from the hilt of a sword.
His jaw dislocated from the sheer force of that blow.
But Ryker wasn't done yet.
In an instant, the man's arm was cut off.
Blood rushed out.
The man glanced at where his arm should've been.
Tears rolled down his face.
A small crimson flame manifested in Ryker's palm.
This is a skill my father taught me.
Out of nowhere, he threw it at the man's face.
Burning his face entirely.
The man screamed.
But once again, they didn't last long.
His second arm was gone.
"Look at you now, congratulations, you cannot wield a sword now," Ryker whispered, mocking the man.
But his words came in death's ears.
The man fell unconscious long ago.
"Hm, I'm not done yet." He said, thrusting his sword at the man's chest.
It pierced him entirely, coming out of his back.
The man instantly woke up. Falling on his back.
"I think I'm satisfied now," Ryker muttered, swinging his sword, directed at the man's neck.
THUMP!
His head rolled on the ground.
Ryker stared at it as it rolled down the hill.
The memory has come to an end.
Present Ryker jolted up. Sweat rolled down his brow.
"And that was the start of my massacre." He said in a low voice. Clamping a hand over his hair.
Suddenly.
Blue flames surrounded him.
"So he already overcame it." He muttered.
…
..
.
Aiden was standing on top of thousands of strange bones.
Blood covered him, head to toe.
A white limbo surrounded him. "What's now? I have done what you asked." He grumbled, glaring at the system window.
