Chapter 11 - Comprehending the Dao of Drinking

Lucas breathed a sigh of relief, everything was fine. Apparently, the gravity room wouldn't cause testicular torsion.

"Drama King~" Bellie said softly. Lucas shook his head, "Hey the concern was valid alright." Bellie nodded his head with clear disinterest, letting out a small yawn. "I'd call you a pussy. But you probably don't know what it is."

Lucas clicked his tongue, his expression turning nasty.

He returned to his dorm and closed the door behind him. Lucas dropped to the bed with fatigue.

"I need to figure out a way to train faster and with more efficiency." He said while flipping himself over, kicking his feet in the air.

"Potions are one way but it costs too much, my savings itself would only sustain me for a month or so...

"Unless, I can somehow make Melissa craft potions for me. But how can I get her to do so?"

He pondered for a few minutes before letting out a sleepy sigh. He would figure it out later.

"..."

A few days passed by as Lucas continued brainstorming but in the end he could only come up with one solution.

He entered the lecture room of molecular anatomy, his body pale with visible eye bags under his eyes.

Getting sleep? Yeah that was a lie, he had been staying up all night browsing through the internet.

'God damnit my sleep schedule is trash. I am going to get some proper sleep today.' Lucas declared solemnly.

His blinks kept getting spaced out as his body tried its hardest to rest. Lucas exhaled deeply and sat down, running his hand through his hair, his body aghast at his horrible sleep schedule.

'The only way I can convince Melissa to make potions for me is to steal the event of Ren reselling Melissa's magic cards to her? Is that the right sentence? Eh, I'm too tired to care.

'But for that I first need to work on the math for it. Ren could easily give it to her because he was the supposed 'author'. Although I'm a certified genius this will still take time. I must finish it and contact her before Ren. Well it's slightly easier for me because she's my deskmate. But I got to put in some elbow grease.'

Lucas thought with a sigh, it seemed that he couldn't fix his sleep schedule right now. He needed to start working on it immediately so that he could present it before Ren.

[A brutal and infamous sword art feared across battlefields. Unlike traditional forms, it boasts no elegance or technique — only raw, unrestrained power. Practitioners undergo a horrific process of reforging their flesh and bones to wield this style, enduring agony that shatters the weak-willed. Its swings are wild, unrefined, and devastating, turning the user into a storm of destruction. Mastery of the Gravar Style grants monstrous strength capable of crushing any opponent with sheer, overwhelming force.]

[★★★★★ Cryomancy]

[An unknown magic art that came into this world four years ago. It grants the user complete dominion over ice in all its forms. Mastery over this art grants utter and absolute molecular control over moisture and ice. At its highest level, this art allows the user to manipulate temperature on a universal scale and also gives the user functional immortality.]

'A rank intelligence please come in clutch!' Lucas bellowed with reverence. Before he paused and glanced at his screen in disappointment, 'That still greyed out huh? Guess I need to up my mana more too.'

Cryomancy….a five star magic art that was suddenly bestowed upon him the moment he transmigrated. Was it a gift? He didn't know, and he didn't care.

Despite his numerous attempts to use it, he still wasn't able to generate even a single shard of ice. The only reason he could think off was that his mana was too meagre to sustain the art.

That was why Lucas was so surprised when he saw that massive ice construct in the Gravar trial. What could have caused him to suddenly overcome his limits and use [Cryomancy] and then return to his normal rank?

Was it a hidden skill? But no matter how much Lucas went through his status he couldn't find a trace of it.

'Unless….it's them?!' Lucas thought for a moment, his lips curling up in disgust before he shook his head.

'Nah, it's been four years and I haven't even heard of them. It couldn't be them, and even if they returned, they would still have my stats. They couldn't have different stats.'

Lucas reassured himself, his breath slightly wavering. His pale skin grew even more frail at the thought of them as Lucas softly shuddered.

"And my day's ruined!." He muttered under his breath, "God I need a drink. I need to comprehend the dao of drinking."

He leaned against his seat, his expression sour. "It can't be them, it physically couldn't be them!" He tried to comfort himself, his mind spacing out.

Lucas paused, before his expression turned slowly aghast, "Could they have returned?!"
