In the Golden Continent, culture and history shaped it to become the World's largest and longest-standing nation.
Filled with Fairies, Angels, Nymphs, Kitsunes, Druids, Elves, Mermaids, and other minorities; they work together to survive no matter the cost. And after 3000 years, they achieve power and authority over the World as the Strongest Nation for their grand magic.
In such a peaceful and prosperous time, will it fall? Will the propaganda get to them? Will they survive the outside world? What secrets and war crimes have been hidden? And will the nation finally fall?
A Charge Genesis Angel named Kailus, born to David and Sphlya, lives within the confines of Angelica, the Angel nation-state of the Golden Continent.
At 8 years old, young Kailus trained for the first time with his Father by exercising his body and training healing magic.
Kailus writes, "When I was young, my Father, David, trained me under the Solomon Rule. It was intense to start but it has gotten easier so I think."
At 10 years old, he went to a hidden library in his home to read about his Father and Mother's ancestors. He also writes his autobiography here since it's mandatory by law.
As he was reading his ancestors; he noticed that his Dad's book was open. His curiosity grew as Kaikus finally read it, "When I was 10, my elder sister ate my ice cream so I put her toothbrush in the toilet."
Kailus, wanting to continue reading, was afraid of his dad noticing him. He leaves but secretly puts a smiley face in his book before running off.
Kailus reminisces, "I found my Father, David,'s autobiography in the library open. I read some of it and found that he was very petty. I remember when he trained me to exhaustion because I ate his sandwich. He hasn't aged at all."
At 12 years old, Kailus and his mother went to the hospital to visit her sister, who works there. While his mother was talking, he sneakily walked by and drank a deadly poison.
He continues, "When I was 12, I was forced to go to visit auntie, but I managed to sneak and drink alcohol. I don't really get the hype for it thought, yuck."
At 16 years old, Kailus donated blood to the Vampire Queen as a form of training his healing magic alongside his father.
He remembers, "Hmm...oh, and at 16, Dad wanted me to give my blood to the Queen to train my healing magic, but she drank too much from me to heal back and I passed out from all of it."
At 18 years old, they all sit together in the sunset with his mother and father beside him. Kailus writes in his autobiography, "And when I was 18, I attended the Oldest Solomon College and left my home."
As Kailus was writing all the events he remembers from his childhood, Kailus' mother shouted, "Kailus Sweetie, come out of the library. You're about to miss college."
He quickly gets up from the floor and brushes his pants before grabbing his book. The college is open to all who turn 18, with many in each nation of the Golden Continent, but it does bring some excitement since Kailus is going to the oldest Solomon College building.
He grabbed his suitcases to go, but was stopped by his Father and Mother. Sphlya hugs and kisses Kailus all over which makes him drop everything as she proclaims loudly, "Oh, child, how you've grown so much. Don't forget to take care of yourself, Kalie."
David hugs Kailus but not enough to squeeze him, "And don't forget to train every day son, I wouldn't want you to be dependent on others or weaken yourself. You have to keep the bloodline strong just like your dad. Believe in God and you shall know peace."
Kailus smiles, "Ok, father!"
Mother playfully frowns, "Oh, no applause for me? How you've been a daddy's boy your entire life. I still remember," she has a flashback, "when you were 5; you were flying for the first time. I opened my arms wide, thinking 'you would have flown into my arms because that's what all babies do, favor their mom', but oh nooo, instead you went into your bumbling idiot dad," her flashback ends.
Sphlya mumbles, placing her hands on her hip, "I always thought children favored mothers from all I've heard and even saw from my friends with their kids. But you're just so different."
Dad says pushing her closer to him, "Well you still have me?"
Mother pouts slightly, "Yeah, yeah, save that for the bedroom."
Kailus, not having anything to respond, "Well.. I'll be off."
Kailus picks up his items to go but his mom stops in front of him at the door, "One last thing, learn to forgive yourself and forget your mistakes. I know that embarrassment can stick with you forever. I always heard you in your room screaming in hatred for yourself for your past actions. I know you can still have vivid memories of past events where you wronged others or embarrassed yourself."
Kailus immediately gets flashbacks to him asking a bunny girl for a pencil which she responded with a loud decline. Everyone laughs and cheers her for doing nothing. Kailus returns as he shudders, still not forgetting it.
Sphlya hugs him dearly, "Sweetie, just don't embarrass yourself." Kailus nods lightly as he grabs his suitcase of clothes, his autobiography book, and a recipe book.
He waves his hand before leaving the house and flying away. As he left:
David pinched her waist which made her yelp, "Great, you reminded him of that, Sphlya."
Sphlya hits him on the head, "I was just being cautious."
David says while moaning in pain, "You know that's my weak spot after all the times you've hit me there."
Sphlya whispers, "Then how about I repay you since the house is empty?"
David Mumbles, "Fine."
It goes back to Kailus as he flies towards the college; he sees others along the way: a Druid, a powerhouse kitsune, a Jasper bunnyfolk, and archangels.
He reminisces, 'Now that I'm grown and leaving my family. I feel alone. To leave my home to go to a place full of strangers I might not even make connections with? I only felt comfortable speaking to my parents. Yes, I was mostly quiet to them, but that's because I didn't have anything to say.'
Kailus looks at his body, 'I remember how my dad trained me at 8 and put me through hell because of that torturous rule, but at least it repaid with this physique.'
Kailus flexes his muscles a bit. He smiles, 'I still remember dad's face when mom would scold him for the harsh training, but he wasn't that aggressive in training. He was more of a coach rather than a military officer.'
He snaps out and looks down at the suitcases, 'These were the same suitcases I was forced to practice holding while flying if I ever needed to carry someone. He would put many things in there like weights, concrete, etc. I dropped it so many times that it's beaten up.'
He smiles at the many nostalgic training uttering, "I love you, Dad," as he finally lands at the college and leaves his past life behind. He enters the large doorway.
It's huge and fancy with marble everywhere and intricate designs. Kailus walked in amazed at what he saw. A statue of Solomon with his angelic presence, a painting of the Heavenly Continent Civil War, and other historical events.
As he focused too much on the interior, he accidentally bumped into a desk. He looks down and notices the receptionist, a Sun fairy, staring at him with odd eyes for the entrance he caused.
Kailus blushed in embarrassment for not noticing her. For a while, they stood in silence scanning each other.
Kailus' whines inside his head, 'I already embarrassed myself in seconds entering here? What does she even think of me? I hate myself... wait, is that a Sun fairy? The 4th rarest fairy type?'
Kailus, once overcome with embarrassment, is now overcome with curiosity as he leans closer
After a while of silence and stare-offs.
She asked curiousness, "Are you a Genesis Angel by chance? If not, a charged one?"
Kailus, wanting to speak properly but it comes off shyly, "Ye-yes??"
There's a short pause before she gets excited and shakes his hand speaking something very fast that he couldn't hear, but all he knows is that it's in pure excitement, "You're a Native race here? The rarest race in the world and a charged genesis too? Oh, you're as beautiful as they say. Can I touch your wings? I can't believe my eyes."
Kailus was overwhelmed and lightheaded from her excitement. Unknowingly, people were watching the situation unfolding. Kailus blushed even deeper in embarrassment noticing the eyes all around him and this fairy.
The Sun Fairy stops after noticing the eyes on her, she coughs and pretends that it never happened.
Kailus questions, 'How are you so calm when embarrassed?'
The Sun fairy keeps her excitement down, "So anyways, names Carolice. You're the new student at Solomon College, the greatest and oldest college in the World. And luckily, this is the first building. What's your name so I can see what dorm number and roommates you have?"
When Kailus hears learns that he'll be staying with others, he's stood there shocked, 'Roommates? I thought it would be separate rooms. Oh no, what if I walk in revealing? I don't want to walk in heavy clothes every day. That'll be torturous, I still remember when my cousins and family members came and I left my room only wearing undergarments. I can't do that.'
Carolice looks at Kailus in curiosity as she taps him, "Uhh, Genesis Angel?"
Kailus snaps out and quickly answers, "Kailus Elaster Afton."
Carolice nods and looks through the folder. She calmly says, "Normally we expected you to be a girl with that name. I guess I'll have to switch your name to a male or male-dominated room. Hmm, da da da." She looks in all of the male forums.
Kailus was offended by the assumption but stayed silent for the moment.
After a while of silence other than Carolice humming and the sound of paper being combed through, she speaks, "Surprisingly enough. The boys' rooms are out so you'll have to stay in the girls' dorm. The college sometimes has this problem due to population growth so you're not alone. So for you, the remainder of this school year, you'll be with Akiro, a playhouse kitsune, and Shalius, an Ancient Fairy. You'll have a great year."
Kailus believes, 'That's...ok. Ancient Fairies are very quiet but kitsunes are very energetic. I hope she isn't the one who tries to cheer everyone up.'
Kailus speaks out, "Thank you, what room?"
Carolice forgets, "Ahh, sorry, Room 237. Also, there are rules like there are for everything. I got so excited that I forgot it, but in my mind I think it's: don't be too noisy and don't bully."
Kailus shyly says. "Oh, that's simple. I'll be off."
Kailus bows in gratitude and heads towards his dorm. Once he found the dorm and entered it, his eyes fell upon a playhouse kitsune lying face down on the couch with only her undergarments with her tails in the open air, and her rear visible. She speaks in a chill and calm manner, "Sup."
Kailus blushes at the scene. He sets his luggage down and holds his autobiography beside him.
Kailus looks away to avoid the scenery before him, "Uhh hello... I'm your," he has a voice crack," new roommate," He coughs to clear it, "You must be Akiro."
Kailus looks around, "Um, where's Shalius, the Ancient Fairy?"
Akiro ignores his shyness. She gets up from the couch with her back facing him, "Oh you're the new roommate. I can hear you're a boy from that voice. Why did they let a boy in a girl's dorm? Is it population increase or something? If so, you're quite lucky eh? A powerhouse kitsune and an Ancient Fairy."
Akiro bends her back as her tails flutter at her bones cracking. She turns around to get a look as her eyes widen in wonder and excitement, "OH MY GOSH, you're a Charged Genesis Angel!"
Kailus monologues, 'Is everyone gonna say that? I don't want to be so popular but with how many people are in my family. We should have tons of Genesis Angels everywhere. I don't know why we're treated as exotic species except for the charged part. I mean we are a native race here but besides the point.'
As he monologues too much, Akiro touches his wings as Kaikus yelps unexpectedly. She proclaims, "I heard Genesis Angels have the softest wings, even softer than the love angel. Too bad they don't exist, but at least those wings do~."
Kailus blushes deeply, "Uhh thanks?"
He looks around, noticing that the college dorm is huge. It has an entire kitchen, a living room, and 3 doors(which are probably the bedrooms) upstairs. Akiro kept complimenting his wings in the background: "Oh these wings are so fluffy." "I can use this as a blanket." "So soft!"
While he checks the surroundings, he turns his head toward a door crack with glowing white eyes peeking.
Kailus curiously ask Akiro, "Uhh, is that Shalius?"
Akiro, too busy smothering herself in Kailus' wings. She mutters, "Yeah, tried talking to her but she's as silent as a Druid baby."
As soon as she locks eyes with him, she immediately shuts the door. Kailus assumes, 'I probably embarrassed her by staring. I've been there before. I should probably tell her that I forgive her before she has eternal guilt like me.'
Kailus moves away, "Akiro, I'll talk to-by-uh her." Akiro sighs after getting separated from his wings.
He goes up the stairs to knock on her door, "Shalius, can I talk for a short mome-" just then, Kailus was rushed inside her room.
Akiro smirks at the sight as her tail weaves fervently at the scene; she teases at the sudden scenery, "Aww, she grabbed you so quickly? Is it lovers at first sight, or is it just Native Talk?"
Shalius closes the door, her voice is soft and gentle as silk, "Why hello there Angel friend." Kailus is kinda surprised and not at the same time since Ancient Fairies hold Genesis Angels as private partners.
He looks around the room while he's at it. He sees: a bookshelf, a magic circle for mana training, 2 closets, a double bed, a bathroom, alive flowers everywhere, 3 comfy seats made of wool, and a Vanity Desk for makeup.
He then stares at Shalius for a moment. Her cheeks look like soft eggshells, her eyes are glittery purple with a look of wisdom, and her long glowing white hair makes her look powerful.
Kailus stuttered, raveled by her beauty, "Uh, hello, Shalius. I'm Kailus. I want to say sorry for staring at... your eyes and embarrassing you."
Shalius tilts her head curiously, "What? You didn't embarrass me?"
Kailus froze and felt a new wave of embarrassment as he mischaracterized the whole situation, "Uh-I need t-to go."
Shalius notices his discomfort and embarrassment, grabs his arm and speaks in a soft acceptive manner, "Don't worry, you're forgiven. I don't mind it at all. We all make mischaracterizations of situations we assume to know all."
He sighs as he has one less embarrassing moment to spare himself from, "Umm, thank you."
Shalius looks at Kailus' arm; she points to his autobiography, "Can I see it?"
Kailus immediately gets defensive by her sudden action, "What? Let others who are not family members or lovers see your autobiography? It's only meant to be family knowledge."
Shalius, desperate, says in a needy manner, "But I want to know if you're the one who saved my family. I've asked many Genesis Angels I've seen for their book or ancestor's name and none fit my description,"
Kailus questions, 'How are you not embarrassed by now?!'
Shalius continues, "It was during the Takeover War, "she looks up at the ceiling, "that a Genesis Angel woman saved my Father by taking her lifespan to reverse his death and brought him back to life, which gave birth to my ancestor 10 years after it. I couldn't be without her," she looks down back at Kailus, "What's your ancestor's name during the 200s?"
Kailus answers quickly, "Oh, Byzel and Walter Afton from my father's side and Sophiel and Dumos Eros from my mother's side."
Shalius stops for a moment then suddenly hugs Kailus tightly. She smiles widely while rubbing her powdered cheek on his, "That was the name I was looking for, Byzel Afton. You are the one who restored my heritage. I cannot thank you enough. Tell your Father and Mother, I thank them and their ancestors for such a loving person like you."
Kailus blushes deeply but accepts the hug since he has never felt one outside his mother's and Akiro oddly enough. He didn't even know his ancestors saved hers. He's read his ancestor's book over and over, but has never seen it there, not even in their bragging pages.
Kailus just assumes that it was nothing to brag about. He can accomplish that, if not, better than his predecessor because of his charged blood-type. Shalius has changed her mood from silent to cheery and all bubbly.
He murmurs, 'Well that changed, I expected an energetic kitsune and a quiet fairy, but instead; it's a bubbly Fairy and a clingy relaxed Kitsune that's gonna be shipping us daily. Oh, these years are gonna be hell.'
Kailus, a little comfortably near her, speaks more naturally, "Well...I'm off to pack my essentials in my room.....Goodbye." Shailus let's go and waves happily, "Goodbye, Kailus~."
Kailus leaves her room to go to his (which is beside hers ironically). As he entered, he noticed Akiro sitting on his bed.
She smiles, "Well well well, looks like you charmed the fairy. You have the looks, pretty boy. Are you gonna go further or what?"
Kailus exclaims in his mind, 'WHAT?! Who says that randomly?!'
He stutters, "Uh-uh-uhhh... no."
Akiro skips to the door, "Took too long to answer. Listen up, Lucy. I won't mind if you love her, but don't make it noisy and interrupt my sleep ya hear or else I might join in on the fun", she teases at the end.
Kailus blushes red and is shocked at her comment, "Wha-wha." Akiro leaves and shuts the door before he can answer.
Kailus looks around as he sees all his luggage in his room. Akiro must've moved all his suitcases into the room while he was talking to Shalius. He was glad for that.
He decorates and cleans his room to be perfect as he has the standard ordinary double bed, 2 closets, a bathroom, and a Vanity Desk (which he won't need).
As Kailus lies in bed, he monologues, 'College starts tomorrow, I can't wait for first class and I hope (flashback to Sphyla Smiling) I don't embarrass myself just as mother says.'
Kailus stops monologuing for a moment, "Mmm..Wait... Carolice didn't even give me the schedule for it. Ugh, I'm too lazy to do that and I don't want to embarrass myself again, Maybe Akiro rubbed on me physically and mentally. I guess I'll follow them to the next class... What if we don't have the same class? I should stop blaming others and take accountability..."
He suddenly gets flashbacks to the most embarrassing moments of his life. Kailus says aloud, "Yeah..no."
He folds his wings and goes to sleep under his covers while resting with his book tightly against him. After a while, he mumbles quietly in his sleep, "I'm so sorry."
