Chapter 83 - Chapter 81- School exploration

They hurried over to their class by following the game map.

They did try to use the school map, but using the game map was way easier.

Just follow the blue arrow.

And they did, until they stood at the door of the classroom awkwardly.

The teacher was a young man in a white robe, teaching the class.

Ming Jun guessed it should be history, judging by all the words involving monsters and great heroes.

"You're late," the teacher turned to them in dissatisfaction.

The others looked at his unwelcome expression and accepted it silently.

The school might have already told the staff about them.

And these prestigious teachers would certainly look down on them.

After all, they weren't like the main character who could come to this school due to some outstanding feat.

Neither were they talented or strong.

Instead, they were trash contaminated with some evil source.

In all aspects, they were truly an eyesore.

But did they care? Not at all.

You can't do anything about me, and neither can I.

Besides, they'd seen and heard the same boring disgust and disdain a thousand times.

"Next time, maybe you guys should build a smaller school," Shae Harris replied casually.

She was looking around the classroom with curiosity, completely ignoring the teacher's stinky look.

"Insolent!" the teacher glared at her and slammed his hands on the podium.

"Oh—" Shae Harris made no further comment.

"Just because you got the opportunity to come here doesn't mean that you're suddenly part of this society," the teacher said in disdain.

"Obviously not. I would never allow myself to be in the middle of such stuck-up people," Shae Harris nodded in agreement.

"How dare you talk back to me! You're just a group of trash that was given a miracle!" the teacher shouted, veins bulging on his forehead.

"Since you call it a miracle, then allow me to generously donate it to you," Shae Harris said, taking a step forward and stretching out her hands.

The teacher's face changed, and a whistling sound followed.

Shae Harris barely managed to dodge the fireball that was thrown her way—though that was probably because the teacher didn't actually mean her any harm.

They might be trash, but they were useful trash. Bait.

"Is this your so-called etiquette and sense of nobility?" Shae Harris asked, patting out the tiny flames that had clung to her.

"You—!" The teacher looked like he was about to toss another one.

He stood there with a wand pointed at Shae Harris, the veins in his head bulging.

"I apologize in their place, but the teacher was also out of line," Princess Iris's voice rang out at this point.

She stood in her seat and spoke coldly.

"I guess I can let them go on the school's behalf," the teacher snorted.

He didn't have the social standing to accept an apology from a princess, so he accepted it on behalf of her identity as the president of the student council—thereby extending it to the school.

"You can graciously accept hers, but I didn't mean to apologize anyway," Shae Harris said, leaving one last remark before walking to an empty seat at the back.

The others didn't look at the now-angry teacher and sat beside her.

They noticed the wide berth the other students gave them but didn't care.

Princess Iris gave them one last warning look before sitting down.

The teacher didn't say anything and went on teaching, though his body language was practically screaming that he was ignoring them.

His eyes never went to their corner, and he even refused to look at the people in front of them.

Those students glared at them angrily, and Shae Harris responded with a provocative smile.

"These seats are nice," Shae Harris commented.

"Do you have some sort of problem with the school or something?" Wei Zhi whispered, shivering from all the cold gazes.

"I particularly dislike people who look down on others," Shae Harris said.

"Why?" Ming Jun asked curiously.

"It's not about a sense of justice or anything—it's just that those types of people are so annoying and bothersome," Shae Harris said, smirking at the teacher.

Then she placed both legs on the table and leaned back.

"You look like a hooligan," Mori Aoi giggled.

"So that means my pose is pretty cool," Shae Harris said, trying to lean back even more.

But she leaned too far, and the chair fell over.

The loud bang echoed across the classroom, and everyone subconsciously turned around.

Shae Harris calmly stood up and wiped the dust off her uniform.

Then she placed the chair upright and sat back down, everyone still watching her.

"Aren't you guys meant to be learning, or would you like to be degenerates with us?" Shae Harris smiled at them.

"Who are you calling a degenerate?" Ming Jun retorted.

Shae Harris replied by kicking him off his chair.

Another loud thud followed as Ming Jun looked at her in shock.

"Degenerate number two is online," Shae Harris declared, then turned to Wei Zhi.

"Don't you dare do it, you crazy girl!" Wei Zhi said fearfully and scooted back.

Shae Harris raised her leg, and Wei Zhi ran to hide behind Mori Aoi.

He was squatting behind her chair, glaring resentfully at Shae Harris.

"Cowardly degenerate number three has joined the party," Shae Harris smirked.

"If you guys want to learn, then I suggest you face your livid teacher," Shae Harris said, pointing at the visibly infuriated teacher.

The same teacher who was shaking so much that his face turned red.

The other students: speechless.

They had never seen such a group of shameless and disorderly youths in their lives.

All the students here had grown up under strict households—meaning they'd learned etiquette and that the people they interacted with were usually polite and respectful.

So this was the first time they were meeting such a wild group.

They subconsciously turned to the teacher, then to Princess Iris.

"Ignore them," Princess Iris said with an annoyed expression.

So the students and the teacher tried to ignore the four of them.

Shae Harris snorted and continued to put her legs on the table.

"Wait, does that mean we have to go for classes and actually attend school?" Shae Harris asked with a frown.

The students in front of her silently thought: What else did you come here to do? Look for trouble?

"I mean, we don't actually need to learn anything," Ming Jun followed her line of thought.

The students in front: Then what can you possibly learn?

"It's not like we can use the knowledge for anything," Wei Zhi added.

The students in front: Hello? The teacher is teaching you how to slay monsters!

The same monsters that are rampant in the world!

So what do you mean you aren't using what we learn for anything? You can use it to save your life!

"Are you thinking about skipping?" Mori Aoi whispered, looking around.

"Yeah, class is too boring—and it isn't important to completing the game," Shae Harris said.

The students in front: How did it suddenly jump to talking about games?

"But the problem is that stuff only happens when there are a lot of students," Ming Jun sighed.

"Yeah, the main thing that would be attacked are usually the students," Wei Zhi said.

"There are always background characters when the heroine is in danger," Mori Aoi blinked.

The students in front shivered a bit.

How did the discussion move from games to students being attacked?

And why are you guys so nonchalant about it?

Are the lives of students that worthless to you?

No, they had to alert someone.

Princess Iris would know what to do.

"Hmm, are you guys cold?" Shae Harris leaned toward the students in front of them.

She had noticed them shivering and peeking back.

The students felt the hot gazes of the people behind them and flinched.

Is this your way of warning us??

They could only shake their heads stiffly.

Shae Harris took their word for it and looked away.

"Well, I think this class is boring. Let's go explore instead," she said eagerly.

"I guess so," the others shrugged and replied the same.

Shae Harris clapped and said, "Great!"

Then she loudly dragged her chair back and stood up.

"Well, I'm going to skip your class now," she said, stomping away.

The others rolled their eyes and walked with their heads low behind her.

The teacher gritted his teeth and slammed his fist on the table.

But he calmed down and realized it was better this way.

Now he wouldn't have to see their disgusting faces or hear them cause trouble.

The students glanced at them with their noses high.

It seems trash will always be trash—and it shows in the way they act.

Of course, the so-called trash in their mouths were now aimlessly exploring the school.

From the classrooms to the huge library.

Three of them wanted to linger a bit more:

Ming Jun because he wanted to see if there were some skill books hidden,

Wei Zhi because he was genuinely curious about spell books,

and Mori Aoi because she thought the romance novels in such a fantasy world must be unique.

But they all lost to Shae Harris and left under the still-speechless librarian.

The librarian looked at the backs of the four wild kids and just knew they must be the ones mentioned in the meeting.

The next location for the wild kids with a growing reputation was the physical training room and field.

Shae Harris dragged Ming Jun beside her, who tried to grab the next person.

He missed the slippery Wei Zhi but swiftly revealed his real intentions.

His hands turned toward the now-defenseless Mori Aoi and grabbed her hand.

With a smirk from Ming Jun, she left before Wei Zhi's sight.

Wei Zhi could only grit his teeth and follow behind them.

And that was how they were dragged to run on the field before rolling on the grass.

Shae Harris laughed into the blue sky, feeling very fulfilled.

She lay down facing up, her smile as wide as possible.

The feeling of finally running on a field on a sunny day was exhilarating.

For other people, it might be exhausting and sweaty—

but to her, it was fulfilling and exciting.

Unfortunately, she couldn't find a ball in sight.

And also, these guys were just too weak.

She looked at the other three gasping for air and sighed.

"What's with that disgusted look?" Ming Jun said between heaving breaths.

"Weak. I can't even try to drag you into playing ball," Shae Harris said, looking even more disgusted before turning back to the sky.

"So you know that you're forcibly pushing us into it," Wei Zhi gasped, hands on his knees.

Mori Aoi lay on the grass weakly.

She wasn't out of breath, since her working lifestyle had made her endurance good—

plus her dance and gym classes.

But that didn't stop her from being tired.

"How else would I make you do it?" Shae Harris sighed.

"You could've just asked, jeez. I would've done it if you did," Ming Jun finally said, now able to speak without coughing.

Shae Harris pursed her lips and felt shy again, her face turning away from him.

"Well, I certainly wouldn't—but I can help you start," Wei Zhi, who had regained his strength, smiled evilly.

He crawled over to Shae Harris and pushed her until she was rolling again.

Shae Harris was surprised at first but then began to enjoy the ride.

The others sat on the grass and watched her play with a chuckle.

"You know, she suddenly looks cute," Ming Jun chuckled.

"Brother, lift that filter. You obviously mean stupid," Wei Zhi said, placing a hand on Ming Jun's shoulder.

"I think she looks really happy," Mori Aoi smiled softly.

The others smiled widely too.

The comfortable atmosphere was broken by the sound of a bell.

"It's time for lunch," Shae Harris immediately stopped rolling and stood up.

She slapped her hands over her uniform and hair.

"I wonder if we can eat in here," Mori Aoi asked curiously.

"Even if we can, so what? We still don't need to eat," Wei Zhi said, already walking forward.

Mori Aoi stuck out her tongue behind him.

"I saw that," Wei Zhi said without turning back.

Mori Aoi was startled and instinctively covered her mouth.

Wei Zhi turned back this time to look at her innocent eyes blinking at him.

He chuckled and flicked her forehead.

"Oww," she pouted and rubbed her forehead.

"Then let's go eat," Wei Zhi said, taking the hand not on her forehead and leading her forward.

"Hey, wait up!" Ming Jun turned away from Shae Harris and called after them.

Shae Harris touched the strand of hair that brushed close to her ear.

She could still feel the heat left from Ming Jun's hand when he suddenly leaned forward to pick off the grass stuck in her hair.

Shae Harris snapped out of her daze and hurried to join them.

"You guys are petty enough to dump me in a grass field just 'cause I made you run," Shae Harris said resentfully, swinging an arm over Ming Jun's shoulder.

Ming Jun rolled his eyes, but his hands were clenched tightly as he fought back a blush.
