After Vados reminded him, Champa finally understood the risks.
"Alright, alright, fine! I'll listen to you. If you don't wanna go, then I won't go." Champa waved his hand impatiently.
On the outside he acted like he didn't care, but deep inside he was burning with curiosity about what was happening in Universe 7.
At the same time, in Universe 8…
Inside the God of Destruction's realm, in the grand hall of Liquiir, the fox God of Destruction. Unlike most other Destroyers, Liquiir cared a lot about his appearance.
Even after finishing his work on a lower planet, the first thing he did upon returning was comb his fur and fix his image.
Suddenly, while grooming, he froze. His sharp senses picked up two massive forces leaking into Universe 8.
"This energy… Beerus? And another one… a mortal?!" Liquiir's eyes narrowed as he looked toward the direction of Universe 7.
Beerus's destructive power didn't bother him much. But the mortal power — so overwhelming that even he felt threatened — caught his attention.
"If someone that strong exists in Universe 7, their average power will rise far above the rest," he muttered.
At that moment, his Angel attendant, Korn, entered calmly.
"Lord Liquiir, I see you've also sensed it. That mortal power from Universe 7 is extraordinary."
Liquiir didn't hesitate. "Yeah. If it was just Beerus, I wouldn't care. But this mortal… his strength is on a level even I have to respect. For a mortal to reach this point… it's unbelievable."
Korn smiled faintly. "If my guess is right, Lord Beerus has already chosen the next God of Destruction for Universe 7. That mortal must be his candidate."
Liquiir frowned but nodded. "Makes sense." His curiosity only grew stronger. "Korn, show me what's happening there. If Universe 7's chaos is spilling into my universe, I want answers from Beerus himself when this is over."
"As you command." Korn tapped his staff, and the battle in Universe 7 appeared before their eyes.
Liquiir leaned forward, ears twitching. "Let's see what kind of monster was born over there…"
Meanwhile… in the Palace of Zeno, above all universes.
The Grand Priest stood silently, watching Universe 7 through a black sphere. His smile was calm, but his eyes were sharp.
"So… by accident, a warrior who can rival a God of Destruction has appeared."
Long ago, while traveling across time and space, he had found a broken timeline. In that failed world, Son Goku had died.
On a whim, he took Goku's soul and sent it across space-time, replacing the Goku of this world.
He had expected the experiment to fail, or end quickly with Beerus's hand. Instead, it had created something new — something that could change the entire balance of existence.
"The flow of this world has already shifted," the Grand Priest whispered. "Will it end in survival… or destruction?"
His eyes gleamed, unreadable.
Back in Universe 7…
On Earth, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta was breathing heavily. That last strike against Beerus had drained him badly, but he couldn't help smirking.
"Damn… that felt good," he said, rolling his shoulders. His bones cracked as he stretched, adjusting his body.
In the next instant, his ki spread across galaxies. He locked on to Beerus's energy and vanished with Instant Transmission.
Thousands of galaxies away, in the region of the Nayin River, Gogeta appeared in front of a massive planet on the brink of collapse. The entire surface was cracked like a spiderweb, the core split open into a bottomless abyss.
Beerus's energy was coming from inside.
"You're not dead that easy, huh?" Gogeta grinned, folding his arms. "If you were, that'd be pretty disappointing for a God of Destruction."
Half a minute passed. Nothing. Gogeta's smile faded, replaced with a frown.
"What's he doing down there…? No way that one hit finished him."
Suddenly—
"!!!" Gogeta's instincts screamed. A violent chill ran through his body.
From deep inside the abyss, a purple-red light erupted, overflowing with pure Destruction energy.
Gogeta's grin returned, sharper than ever. "So you were healing up, Beerus. Took you long enough!"
The planet couldn't withstand it. In less than a second, the entire world — and every asteroid in a dozen light-years around it — was obliterated in a blinding explosion.
In that deep purple light, the fearsome figure of the God of Destruction, Beerus, appeared once again.
This time, he wasn't holding back.
The vast power of destruction healed all his wounds, restoring his body in an instant. That destructive energy surged through every cell, filling him with strength until it felt like the whole universe was trembling around him.
When his power finally settled back inside, Beerus stood calmly in the starry void. His face looked cold and collected, but his eyes carried a murderous intent sharp enough to freeze space itself.
He stared at Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta without blinking.
"It's been so long since I've had to unleash my real power… Even the other Gods of Destruction aren't worth this. But you, a mere mortal, forced my hand."
His voice was steady, his pride unshaken. "Even if you die by my hand today, you should feel honored."
Beerus wasn't lying—this was his true strength. The angels might teach Ultra Instinct, but the real terror of a God of Destruction was this: his destructive power had no limit. If Beerus willed something to be destroyed, his power grew endlessly until it was erased.
"As strong as I want to be," Beerus muttered, and his aura roared like thunder.
Gogeta's grin faded into a serious glare. "So you've finally stopped playing around, Beerus…!" He clenched his fists, muscles tightening, eyes locked on the God of Destruction.
Beerus's body shimmered with a strange mist, his strength impossible to measure. Gogeta knew—one wrong move, and it was over.
Beerus smirked. "Don't think that just because you've got some strength, you can stand on my level. Mortals like you can't even begin to understand a god's power."
"Annoying as ever," Gogeta shot back with a cocky grin. "But I can't wait to see your face when I put you down."
Beerus's tone turned cold. "Mortals will always be mortals. Without becoming gods, you'll never be more than ants."
"Are you so sure about that?" Gogeta's aura flared red, shaking the galaxy itself. He was only in Super Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker, and still had more power hidden.
Beerus chuckled darkly as his aura erupted again, a crushing storm of purple energy weighing down on Gogeta. Space twisted and warped around them, the whole universe rattling as blood-red Saiyan energy clashed with pure destruction.
Then Beerus moved. His body blurred, destruction coating him like armor, his speed now beyond comprehension.
"Tch—!!" Gogeta reacted fast, throwing a heavy punch at Beerus's chest. But his fist passed right through him.
"An afterimage? No…!" Gogeta's instincts screamed—something was wrong. Energy surged around him, forming a barrier just in time.
Beerus's phantom slipped through Gogeta's body—
And then it began.
BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.
Invisible strikes hammered Gogeta from every angle, shattering his barrier in seconds. His body was covered in cuts and glowing purple burns, blood filling his mouth as he struggled to stay standing.
If not for his Saiyan durability, Beerus's attack would've killed him instantly.
Beerus turned his back with his hands behind him. "Now you understand. Mortals and gods aren't separated by strength alone."
But Gogeta just smirked through the blood. "That little flurry? Heh. I've felt worse. You'll have to do better than that."
Then—his aura changed. Pink energy lit his body, mixing with the crimson of Super Saiyan 4. Wounds healed, power soared, and a new force emerged.
Super Saiyan 4 God.
Beerus narrowed his eyes. "So you've finally tapped into divine power… but it doesn't matter. In my eyes, you're still just a fake god. At best, a mortal playing dress-up."
"Funny," Gogeta said with a wild grin. "Because this 'fake god' is about to knock you flat!"
His aura burst into colorful sparks as he vanished in an instant, appearing like a ghost in front of Beerus. This was one of his most dangerous techniques—Punisher Drive. Gogeta's movements became unpredictable, his strikes so fast that if even one landed, it triggered hundreds of attacks in an instant.
Beerus smirked. "A little trick."
His body flickered, fading in and out of reality itself, as if mocking Gogeta's attack.
