Chapter 6 - TSWS: Chapter 6

Akira Stone, unconcerned with their identities, was in a foul mood. He coldly questioned Buggy, "You ambushed me just now?"

Buggy, undeterred by Akira Stone's aggressive tone, roared back, "It was me, so what? You little punk, you were too arrogant, daring to insult our captain and first mate."

Akira Stone replied, "I hate being ambushed, so…"

With a resounding "bang," Akira Stone plunged the ancient sword into the ship's wooden deck.

Buggy jumped at Akira Stone's action. He'd expected a sword fight, so he'd adopted a combat stance.

But to his astonishment, Akira Stone simply stared intently at the sword, remaining completely motionless after his previous action.

Buggy, utterly perplexed, turned to Shanks, questioning, "Shanks, what does this mean? Is he preparing some kind of ultimate move?"

Shanks, equally bewildered, shook his head, replying, "I have no idea. Let's just observe and see."

Meanwhile, Akira Stone was communicating with the ancient sword. Yes, communicating.

The moment his blood from a cut on his hand dripped onto the sword's hilt, a strange voice echoed in his mind.

"Death Scythe System activating, currently binding…"

The sudden voice startled Akira Stone. He exclaimed, "Who's there?"

"System binding complete, Death Scythe System officially activated!"

"System?"

This time, Akira Stone understood clearly.

The initial shock gave way to ecstatic joy. He'd always known the sword that brought him here was special.

Although it had taken a long time to manifest, its activation filled him with immense delight.

The unfamiliar voice resonated once more, "Greetings, host. I am the Death Scythe System, pleased to be of service."

"Death Scythe System? What is your origin? What is your function?"

Akira Stone was familiar with the term "system," but the crucial question remained: what exactly did this system do?

"Ding. This system is a fusion of all Zanpakutō from the anime Bleach. As for its origin, that information is beyond the scope of my access permissions.

This system's function is to assist the host in acquiring Zanpakutō." The system responded.

Akira Stone was incredibly surprised. "Zanpakutō? This ancient sword is a Zanpakutō?"

The system responded, "Yes, but also no."

The ambiguous answer left Akira Stone completely baffled. He pressed for clarification, asking, "Explain more clearly."

The system elaborated, "The ancient sword you possess, known as the Death Scythe, is the primordial source of all Zanpakutō.

It can be considered a Zanpakutō because it inherently possesses the capabilities of every Zanpakutō.

However, it is not a purely singular Zanpakutō, for despite possessing the capabilities of all Zanpakutō, each time it is unsheathed, it transforms into a single, specific Zanpakutō, thereby granting access to only the abilities of that particular Zanpakutō."

"Wait, wait,"

Akira Stone couldn't help but interrupt, needing a moment to process this information.

He organized his thoughts before speaking again, I think I understand. In short, this ancient sword—no, this Death Scythe—acts as a conduit, capable of manifesting all the Zanpakutō abilities from Bleach.

However, upon each unsheathing, it transforms into only one specific Zanpakutō, correct?

"That is correct," the system confirmed.

"I see,"

Akira Stone nodded in acknowledgment, before posing another question, There's no such thing as a free lunch in this world.

System, this Death Scythe sounds incredibly powerful, but it must have limitations, wouldn't you agree?"

Akira Stone was not naive; he harbored no illusions about the existence of effortless miracles. While the Death Scythe sounded exceptionally potent, he recognized that it could not possibly be devoid of limitations.

The system responded, While the Death Scythe is indeed the primordial source of all Zanpakutō, the acquisition of their respective abilities necessitates its evolution.

Only upon fulfilling the requisite evolutionary conditions will the Death Scythe unlock the corresponding Zanpakutō.

"How do I trigger its evolution? What specific conditions must be met?" Akira Stone recognized that this constituted the crux of the matter.

The moment Akira Stone completed his inquiry, a menu-like interface materialized before his very eyes, presenting a comprehensive list of options.

"Zangetsu, Activation Status: Sealed!"

"Ryūjin Jakka, Activation Status: Sealed!"

"Kyōka Suigetsu, Activation Status: Sealed!"

"Sode no Shirayuki, Activation Status: Sealed!"

"Senbonzakura, Shikai: Hana Hana no Mi (Devil Fruit user's blood also works); Bankai: Ito Ito no Mi (Devil Fruit user's blood also works)!"

"Hyōrinmaru, Shikai: Yuki Yuki no Mi (Devil Fruit user's blood also works); Bankai: Hie Hie no Mi (Devil Fruit user's blood also works)!"

"Wabisuke, Shikai: Kilo Kilo no Mi (Devil Fruit user's blood also works); Bankai: Ton Ton no Mi (Devil Fruit user's blood also works)!"

Upon witnessing this extraordinary display, Akira Stone exclaimed in astonishment, "System, there are countless Zanpakutō listed here, yet only three have their activation conditions revealed. Why are the rest sealed? And why are the activation conditions all related to Devil Fruits?"

The system provided a detailed explanation, stating, "Initially, the system only allows the host to evolve three Zanpakutō.

Upon successfully achieving the Bankai state for each Zanpakutō, the system will randomly unlock another Zanpakutō.

The reason for selecting Devil Fruits as the evolutionary condition for the Zanpakutō is due to their unique nature as substances exclusive to the One Piece world, much in the same way that Zanpakutō are unique abilities exclusive to the Bleach universe.

However, it is not the case that all Zanpakutō require Devil Fruits for their activation; some Zanpakutō do not necessitate Devil Fruits for their unlocking, although the host has yet to encounter such Zanpakutō."

"So that's how it is? Unlocking Zanpakutō with Devil Fruits—a truly intriguing system," Akira Stone remarked, his curiosity piqued.

While he did not fully grasp the underlying principles governing this system, he was not overly concerned, as his primary objective was simply to ascertain the methods for unlocking the Zanpakutō.

The system continued, Since three Zanpakutō are already bound to the host, the host need only mentally select the desired Zanpakutō, then draw the sword from the Death Scythe; it will transform into the selected Zanpakutō.

Resheathing the blade will restore the Death Scythe to its original form.
