I sit on the training ground, the grass cool under me, watching the warriors swing their swords.
Seeing Dean face when I beat him was amazing, it was a laugh to me finally this was life.
Their shouts fill the air, sharp and constant, like the world was a beating drum. Lydia's voice pulls me out of my thoughts. It is soft and nervous. "Can I sit with you, Luna?" she asks, her eyes wide, like she is Wondering if I will say no.
I smile and nod. "Sure, come on."
She sits close, shoulders a little hunched, her hands fidgeting in her lap. Her voice is shy but bright.
"What did you do to the alphas, Lia? They seem⦠different today."
I laugh and tilt my head, surprised by the question. "What do you mean by that?"
