[Jane looked at Odin. "Does the book say how to get this thing out of my body?"]
[Odin shook his head. "No. Nothing is written."]
[Jane pursed her lips and fell silent.]
[The scene shifted, and a massive, cross-shaped aircraft hovered in the air. On the complex display screens, rotating images of multiple nations appeared.]
["The celestial convergence is about to take shape." The Dark Elf Malekith drew a short blade. Approaching Agam, he said, "You will become the last Cursed Warrior."]
["I'm willing to sacrifice myself, just as our people do. Just as you do," Agam replied.]
[Malekith plunged the blade into Agam's abdomen and retrieved a stone.]
["You will become darkness itself, and remain that way until it consumes your life." He pushed the stone into Agam's wound.]
[Agam murmured, "Our enemies will never defeat you as long as I live. I will destroy their defenses and help you recreate a new universe."]
[Another Dark Elf handed over a crimson bull-horned helmet.]
"Only these Dark Elves are left, and they're doing the stabbing?"
"To be honest, they're surprisingly united!"
"What exactly happens during the convergence?"
"No idea."
"And the Cursed Warrior… doesn't he look kind of like the Extremis Virus? Are they from the same thing?"
"I don't know. I just know Asgard is in danger, and so is Greater Terra."
Kayden stared at the screen. She turned to Ashton. "Mr. Ashton, do you think this independent stimulation device can help us accelerate research on the Extremis Virus?"
Ashton understood she was referring to the Dark Elf stone. He thought for a moment. "It's one possible direction. Crushing it directly creates a temporary Cursed Warrior, and embedding it creates a permanent one."
Kayden nodded. That was exactly what she meant. Even if the Cursed Warrior and the Extremis Virus weren't the same, their activation methods could be unified.
[In the prison tunnel, Asgardian warriors escorted several prisoners, among them was the Dark Elf Tauren. Loki watched from inside his cell with his hands behind his back.]
["Odin always sends me new friends," he said. "How thoughtful."]
[Frigga appeared behind him. "Don't you like the books I gave you?"]
[Loki scoffed. "Am I supposed to spend the rest of my life reading?"]
["I'll try to make your life as comfortable as possible," Frigga said softly.]
[Loki stared. "Really? Would Odin care about that? Where's Thor? They must miss me terribly."]
[Frigga sighed. "You're here because of your own actions."]
[Loki sneered. "Says who? You lied to me my whole life, that I was born to be a king. I simply turned the lie into reality."]
[Frigga asked in shock, "A king? A true king admits his mistakes. What did you say when you opened a portal and started slaughtering people on Earth?"]
[Loki shot back, "Compared to the number of people Odin has killed, mine is just a drop in the bucket!"]
["Your father, " she began.]
["He's not my father! He never was!" Loki snapped.]
[Frigga smiled sadly. "You understand everything except yourself."]
[Loki reached for her hand, but she faded, nothing more than an illusion.]
"Loki looks sad…"
"He just wants a hug from his mom."
"But seriously, how many people did Loki kill on Earth?!"
"He was adopted and raised for years. He should be grateful."
"He wanted to be king."
"Still… Loki is pitiful sometimes. He carries a heavy burden."
"A rebellious phase, maybe."
[The scene shifted as Thor and Jane walked together down a corridor.]
["Did you know something was wrong when you came for me?" Jane asked.]
["When Heimdall couldn't see you, I knew you weren't on Earth," Thor replied.]
[Jane was stunned. "How is that possible?"]
[Thor explained gently, "The Nine Realms travel along the World Tree, circling Midgard like Earth circles the Sun. Every five thousand years, they line up. We call it the convergence. During that time, the boundaries between the realms blur. You must have stumbled into one of those blurred zones. It's fortunate the zone hadn't closed. Once the realms shift out of alignment, the connection is severed."]
The livestream exploded.
"So it's like our?"
"Five thousand years for one alignment!? How far along are we?"
"I don't know. The longest recorded era is only about a thousand years."
"My brain hurts."
"Thor! Your brother is calling you home for dinner!"
"Thor, do you miss your brother?"
"Is their universe the same as ours?"
"Bro… how many universes exist??"
Inside the director's office, Hawking rapidly jotted notes, his expression feverish. "So this is celestial convergence. The Nine Realms traveling along the World Tree… doesn't that imply all planets follow some universal law of motion? There must be a cosmic truth behind this. It could apply to every planet in the universe! But the five-thousand-year interval differs from our calculations. On Greater Terra, the Nine Stars align roughly every hundred years."
Darwin added, "Maybe their convergence happens in the Realm of the Gods, not the physical planets we observe."
Odom cut in, "Mr. Hawking speculated earlier that multiple universes might be interwoven. Now I believe the Nine Realms were destroyed by the Dark Elves, and new planets were born afterward."
Everyone froze. This new theory felt closer to the truth.
Johan shook his head. "There are too many contradictions. None of our theories can be confirmed. We can only say everything is possible. And I feel these forces truly existed in history, meaning Greater Terra may be in danger as well. Especially with the convergence approaching, who knows if we're nearing the five-thousand-year mark?"
Silence fell.
The director spoke hoarsely. "From the memories, the earliest record is under two thousand years old. If we calculate from that, the slowest case means convergence occurs in three thousand years."
He paused, "The fastest case… The convergence could happen tomorrow."
A heavy dread fell on everyone.
[In the Asgardian prison, the Dark Elf tauren tore the stone from his wound and crushed it. His body swelled as lava-like veins spread across his skin. He had become a full Cursed Warrior. Flames and smoke filled the passage as panicked detainees slammed against their cell doors.]
[Asgardian warriors charged in, but were effortlessly pinned against the barriers. With a single punch, the Cursed Warrior shattered a cell door, and chaos spread instantly.]
[His attack power was overwhelming; almost nothing could harm him. Any warrior who approached died instantly. He smashed several more cell doors with ease, freeing all the detainees.]
"It's over! All the cells are open!"
"This is inside Asgard, this Cursed Warrior is too strong!"
"He burns his life to fight. He won't last long, but long enough."
"Bro is going full power!"
[The Cursed Warrior reached Loki's cell. They stared at each other, then the Cursed Warrior turned away.]
[Loki smirked. "You'd better go left."]
[The warrior glanced back, then walked left.]
"His eyes said it all: 'You're not the one I'm here to save.'"
"Why left? What's over there?"
"Curse Warrior: Hmph, I won't let YOU out."
"Loki is hilarious. Even a monster pauses to look at him."
"He probably sensed Loki is nothing but trouble."
"No, you fools! Didn't you see? He's freeing all the Dark Elves!"
[The entire cell passage had erupted into chaos, the sound of clashing bodies and shouting voices echoing from every direction. In the middle of the uproar, Loki remained seated in his cell, calmly flipping through a book as though the riot were nothing more than background noise.]
[Thor burst in moments later, intent on stopping the sudden uprising. Yet no matter how loudly he ordered the prisoners to stand down, none paid him the slightest attention. With no other choice, he lifted his hammer and began forcing order back into the corridor through sheer might. But the unrest in the cells was only the beginning.]
[Far above, King Odin charged toward the detention block with an entire battalion at his back. The Divine Realm felt as though it were standing on the edge of a blade, one decisive moment away from catastrophe.]
Even the viewers watching through the live broadcast felt their nerves tighten. Dark elves infiltrating Asgard was never a trivial matter. Something far more calculated was unfolding.
[In the spherical room of the gatekeeper, Heimdall suddenly sensed a disturbance. Without hesitation, he sprinted outside, leaping straight onto the rainbow bridge. His pace quickened; then he veered sharply left, blade drawn in a flash of steel, and plunged it directly into the empty sky.]
[Bang! A burst of fire tore through the air. The explosion revealed itself as a dark elf ship, one that Heimdall had single-handedly disabled by driving his sword straight into its power chamber. The small craft detonated immediately, only for an even larger ship to materialize behind it.]
"F*ck, it's coming!"
"It's Malekith's warship!"
"Heimdall is insane, he just split a ship in half!"
"It's over. No one in Asgard was ready for this."
"Where's Thor? Get here already!"
[Below, small dark-elf skiffs separated from the mothership and accelerated toward Asgard. Their agile forms slipped between towers and spires as Asgardian defenses activated, launching volleys of energy toward the intruders.]
[Anti-aircraft weaponry roared, and Asgardian aircraft shot upward to meet the assault. Explosions lit the sky as several dark-elf vessels were destroyed, yet just as many Asgardian defenses fell in return.]
[Heimdall hurried back to his station, driving his sword into the control platform. Rings of light surged outward as he activated the Dominion Barrier. A massive golden shield unfolded around Asgard, and a dark-elf ship smashed into it instantly, exploding on impact.]
[But elsewhere, in the chamber safeguarding the barrier's energy core, the Dark Elf Cursed Warrior had already slaughtered the guards. With two thunderous strikes, he crushed the device entirely. The golden shield flickered… and vanished.]
The live audience was stunned.
No one had expected the cursed warrior to be such a decisive part of the attack strategy.
Inside the High Council, Councilor Sith spoke gravely: "First, they trigger a riot in the most secure prison to lure Odin and Thor away. Then, the outer ships attack, not to destroy, but to distract Heimdall. Only after that does Malekith reveal the primary carrier and launch a full-scale bombardment. And at the critical moment, the cursed warrior destroys the barrier device."
Many councilors gasped.
Councilor Hyeon exclaimed, "Each move follows the next perfectly. They planned this assault on Asgard down to the second!"
Gladwin added, pale, "If this is what they're doing to Asgard… what happens to Terra's Earth era?"
[A dark-elf heavy craft pierced the now-dissolved barrier and slammed through multiple palace pillars before screeching to a halt. A hatch opened and a beam of energy fired. Dozens of dark elves poured out, overwhelming the guards.
[One warrior hurled a strange bomb that unfolded into a gray, collapsing field. Anything caught within it vanished entirely, swallowed by imploding space.]
"The dark elves are too strong!"
"If they hit Earth with those things, it's GG!"
"Relax! We've still got the Avengers!"
"What kind of bomb collapses inward?!"
Inside the directors' room, a military commander gasped, "Is that a space bomb?!"
Odom, the physicist, echoed the words in disbelief, "A space bomb?"
The commander explained, trembling, "It creates an inward-collapsing field using black-hole principles. Everything around it gets sucked in. Nothing remains."
The revelation stunned everyone watching.
[The dark-elf mothership descended. Malekith stepped out and hurled another space bomb directly onto Odin's throne, disintegrating it instantly. By the time Odin arrived, the hall was a ruin filled with corpses.]
["Frigga!" he cried.]
[Inside the shattered chamber, Frigga faced Malekith.]
["Stay back, monster," she warned.
["I may yet spare your life," Malekith said coldly.]
[He moved toward Jane, but Frigga drew her sword, forcing him into combat. Though Frigga was the queen, she was no stranger to battle, matching Malekith strike for strike until she had her blade against his neck. But from behind, the Cursed Warrior seized her sword and grabbed her arm. Malekith advanced.]
["You took something from me," he said. "Give it back."]
[He reached for Jane, only for her form to shimmer and vanish like a hologram.]
[Malekith snarled. "Witch! Where is the Aether?!"]
["I will never tell you," Frigga replied.]
[The Cursed Warrior plunged his blade through her chest.]
[Thor arrived just in time to witness it. Rage thundered through him as lightning erupted outward, blasting Malekith and the cursed warrior across the hall. The pair scrambled onto a skiff and escaped back to the carrier.]
[On the floor, Frigga lay motionless in a pool of blood. Odin entered, grief overtaking him.]
"She's gone?"
"Frigga is dead?!"
The audience fell silent, many visibly upset. Frigga had never been a major presence, yet she had left a deep emotional impression. Her sudden death shattered the watchers.
[The screen flickered. Inside a quiet tavern, Heimdall sat with Thor.]
["The Rainbow Bridge is closed," Heimdall said. "No one may enter or leave Asgard. We face an enemy even I cannot see."]
[Thor leaned closer. "Malekith will come again. I need your help."]
[Heimdall shook his head. "I cannot defy Odin, not even for you."]
["I'm not asking you to," Thor said. "The Nine Realms need a strong king, even if my father is losing sight of what truly matters. Grief clouds his judgment. But I see clearly."]
[Heimdall hesitated. "The risk is enormous."]
["Every step from here on is a risk," Thor replied. "We have no choice."]
[Heimdall exhaled. "Then tell me what you need."]
"Thor is planning something big!"
"He's going to attack the dark elves!"
"He wants to take the fight to them!"
"He's the God of War for a reason!"
[The screen shifted to a dim room where Thor met privately with his closest allies.]
["What I'm asking," he said, "is treason of the highest order. If we succeed, exile awaits us. If we fail… we die."]
[He looked around, "Malekith can sense the Aether. If we do nothing, he'll return, and Asgard will fall. We must take Jane away from here."]
Viewers watched breathlessly.
In the training room, Ren Kasey smiled. "That's Thor. Wisdom and strength."
Noël nodded. "If both paths lead to danger, better to fight."
Louis whispered, "But can anyone survive fighting the ones who want to destroy the universe?"
[Thor's companion frowned, "The Rainbow Bridge is closed. The Cosmic Cube is locked away."]
["There's still another exit from Asgard," Thor said, "Only one."]
[Everyone stared at him in disbelief.]
[In the underground prison, Thor walked toward Loki's cell.]
