"Quick! I knew he would use a particle collider!"
"Hurry up and assemble the equipment!"
"Where's the prism! Tony has put the prism in place!"
"What!? When is this? You told me the power was cut off!"
Norland R&D Base Center, the Federation's top scientific research hub specializing in microparticles and quantum mechanics, and home to the world-renowned quantum supercomputer. Many of the Federation's advanced technologies pass through this center.
The base director was on a video link with headquarters. Chief engineer Dirk was responsible for executing the tasks assigned by the leaders: creating new elements in real time.
When the Immortal Warrior account began its stream, hundreds of staff were already at the base, observing simultaneously, and leaders demanded full transparency. After the broadcast, each project team would conduct in-depth discussions and submit a final communication plan.
Dirk's responsibilities were heavier than ever. Every critical component had to be constructed in perfect synchrony; now was the time to attempt the creation of a new element. Preparations were meticulous, but fraught with potential errors. Only one method could succeed: the particle collider.
Panic surged as the power flickered back on.
Dirk scanned the collider array. Compared with the home version he had studied in his previous life, this one was larger, more powerful, and theoretically more precise.
"It's ready!"
"Prepare!"
"Start!"
Dirk's eyes gleamed, and he slammed the button as this was not his first time operating a collider. The initial collision sequence was relatively simple, but capturing a completely new element required precise conditions. They selected palladium atoms as raw material.
The moment the switch closed...
Bang! Bang!
The front section of the collider exploded. The blast was minor, damaging only nearby equipment, but Dirk's expression soured.
"No… it was supposed to produce a palladium isotope." According to the theory, that was correct. Yet reality proved otherwise.
"Keep going! Switch to the next collider!" Dirk gritted his teeth.
The forbidden zone housed four ion colliders, two large and two small. The first large collider had already failed. And when the fourth exploded, the attempt to synthesize the new element had barely begun. He felt humiliated.
"Where is the problem?" Frowning, Dirk reported to the director.
"The success of a new element depends on whether the catcher can awaken relevant memories!" A staff member suddenly shouted, "F*ck! Look outside! It's daylight, why is the sun gone?!"
Inside the Office of the Administration Director, a military industry executive sighed: "My attempt at the new element failed, and four colliders are ruined."
Others groaned:
"I lost three here."
"Don't even mention it, five destroyed on my end!"
"Hey! My only small collider blew up."
"Why can't anyone succeed?"
Even senior scientific authorities were at a loss.
"Is this… cursed?"
"Science and superstition rarely mix," Another muttered.
"This new element should be a palladium isotope," Someone argued.
"It shouldn't fail immediately, so why did the collider collapse?"
"Maybe there are unknown variables not seen in prior simulations?"
They sighed collectively as the discovery of this element could fundamentally alter the material structure of the Terra Federation.
"Indeed, winds are shifting."
"Tony is a genius, and his father was one too!"
"If our environment matched his, success would have been likely."
"He is resilient, 8 years old, and persistent."
"The audience is nearing 40 million!" Tonio smiled: "Tony successfully created a new element to replace palladium; at least he won't succumb to palladium poisoning. The rumor that AI Jarvis controlled the suit seems less credible now."
Everyone nodded. Not just this achievement, but Tony's repeated actions reinforced his belief in protecting what mattered without relying on suits for destruction.
Humanities scholar Feng remarked, "This era of Terra still holds too many historical mysteries. We haven't fully uncovered S.H.I.E.L.D.'s true nature, yet the fact that Tony's father, a founder, could design a new element structure shows their exceptional capability. Artificial intelligence might not be the central factor here."
"What's hidden in the southwest region? A superhuman team exists, yet historical errors persist. Why? Strong enemies are stronger? Why do all 118 elements align with the Federation except this one? Who specifically intervened?" Feng scanned the room: "If anyone can answer these questions, I'll consider them my teacher."
Silence followed. No one could comprehend these mysteries, yet no one dared ignore them. These doubts were like massive hands, weaving a net over the Terra Federation.
The director gasped, sensing something amiss. He raised his head and was horror-struck, "God! Why is it dark?!"
Over a dozen experts rushed to the windows.
"Damn it! What's happening?"
"It's only afternoon, is it night already?"
"The sun was shining moments ago!"
"Weather anomaly? Magnetic interference?"
The director approached the windows. The sun had vanished, and the blue sky turned to darkness. Amid the eerie night, stars twinkled unnaturally. In seconds, a radiant stellar display emerged; every star seemed to move deliberately. Countless magnificent forms assembled.
The chief stared slack-jawed. Stars gathered into the shape of a lotus, and petals bloomed across the sky. Every star rotated, forming intricate patterns. A miraculous spectacle. No one had ever witnessed this.
Johan murmured, "There's no record of such a vision in texts, but visions occur when new elements are created. Could this celestial display be linked to the element itself?"
