Imperial Capital
In one of the very closed ward of the hidden Laboratory in the outskirt of the city.
A dying lady was laid in the operating table. If not for her sunken face and cracked lips she was truly beautiful coupled with her large eyes. That now become languid and has no emotion.
The ward's door creak open and a lady with gorgeous features walked in. The hand that were holding her white handbag was delicate and the fingers were long with nails painted with a bright red color in contrast with her white bag was gripping the bag with cautious. The dying lady stare at it with a flash of deep hatred. But the emotion was gone in seconds before it consumes her. Those hands...I want to chop it off.They were the hands that makes all her family perished one by one.
"Oh, look at yourself. So ugly and pitiful"- the lady said with a daunting look and proud tone.
"The famous Eve Twilight Myers in the capital end up a human tester in her own family's laboratory. Isn't it fantastic? Ain't I amazing?"- she said in a marvellous voice.
"Hehe"- I chuckled hoarsely.
Scheming and fighting for 15 years, she finally defeated me. She's my cousin from my Mother's side. 15 years ago,she and her divorced mother came from South City to the Capital and leave in the old Hemmingway's Residence, my Grandma's house. She was 12 back then and I was 10.
I have 2 brothers Evan and my twin Dawn Myers. We were happy back then,until Stephanie and her Mother came into our lives and ruin my family, seize our Company and kill all of us.
Starting from my twin brother getting ill and was sent to the Mental Hospital at 17. But I know my brother wasn't crazy,he was just schemed against and fall into my cousin's trap. She put something into my brother's drink and told him some lies that agitate him which resulted in him going bersek like a madman.
My Elder brother Evan had meet an accident when he was in his way home from the Company and after he was declared dead by the Doctor my family was in deep grief and the company's stock price plummet. Good thing one of my cousin from my father's side helps us overcome the crisis.
Stephannie didn't stop her scheme.
With my brothers falling one by one my Mother got ill from grief and devastation and finally died when I was 18. My father hurts his legs and become a cripple and because of my cousin's manipulation my very own Father send me to our own laboratory to become a test subject.
"What are you doing here?"-I asked her with no emotion written in my face nor in my voice. I'm tired and was used to this torturing.
"I'm here to inform you that your Father whom you hated the most already passed away yesterday with heart attack after watching his beloved daughter become a human tester because of him"- she said with an evil grin.
I glared at her with deeep hatred.
"Ohhh..hahahhaha..finally. I finally see you cracked emotions in your ugly face."
"By the way it was thanks to your father, I am now the Chairwoman of your Company, the Myers Corporation's new Chairwoman. Oh.. wait it's now the Grayson Corporation."- she continued.
"Hayyy..it was really satisfying looking at your defeated expression. It makes me very happy."- after she was done talking, hurried footsteps can be heard from outside and the ward's door opened.
Doctors wearing lab gowns entered holding folders with datas written on it.
Two of the Doctors held 2 liquid bottles each.
"Miss Grayson, it was nice seeing you here "- the leading Doctor greeted Stephanie with respect and all the remaining doctors also bow their heads a little. A form of greeting. I just stared at them. If not for my stubbornness maybe the outcome of all of the situations I'm in right now will be different. My father want me to inhirit this laboratory together with my cousin brother and continue what our ancestors wants to achieve in their life. A breakthrough of their research but I was stubborn back then and choose being an actress to anger my father. That lead his legs being crippled .
But since my father can't control me, he just let me have my way. Though I choose working in the Entertainment Industry I didn't do things that others do just to become famous. I worked hard to achieve my goals. My cousin didn't let me off. She also entered in the Entertainment Industry and become an actress. We compete in everything but I still win against her no matter what scheme she will hatch. But one day in one of my shooting, she switch my gun into a real gun. The movie we were shooting that time was an action movie where I am an assassin. The lady I shot is no other than the youngest sister of the President in our Country, Michelle Ivory Lefevre. Though she manage to survive from the shot, all her brothers targeted me and thus the start of my downfall.
"Is this the last test?"- Stephanie asked.
"Yes. We confirmed from all the datas gathered from all her test. These two are the final outcome from all the failures we had previously."- the leading doctor said.
"Good. We can now enter to the Global market with this. A big shot from country R wants this serum."- she smilingly said.
This is the 50th serum they will inject in my body.
"I'll be going now so you can continue with your experiment. I am highly expecting a good result from this and from you Doctor Greg."- she said and walk her way to the door.
"Don't worry Miss Grayson. I will not disappoint you. And congratulations for winning the Best actress award Miss"- Doctor Greg said with a fawning grin.
A few minutes after Stephanie strutted her way out of the room one of the doctor injected the red serum in Eve's body.
"This girl is tough"- one of the doctors commented.
"Yeah. What a pity, she went against the Young Miss so this happens to her."- the doctor with glasses replied. They know what Miss Grayson is capable of.
After injecting the last blue serum all the machines began to make sound.
The red word "successful" written in the screen showed that the blue serum is compatible to the body.
Eve feel like she is burning,her body become so hot and beads of sweat was now trailing in her forehead.
She wretch in pain and was struggling so hard that the shackles holding her snap into two.
She was now free.
All the doctors restrained her movement but for some reason she become so strong that she throw all of them to the ground.
The alarm sounds echo throughout the buildings. Chaos descended from the laboratory.
After taking care of all the Doctors she slowly crawl her way towards the east corner of the room where many serum stored.
She chose the Yellow one in the large battle. She studdies Medicine in college though she didn't pursue the course till the end but she knows almost a bit of everything. Her memory was good. She easily remember things or words that she read or saw.
She open the led of the bottle and pour all the liquid to the aircon in the room.
After doing all of that she put an oxygen mask in her mouth and walk slowly towards the door but unfortunately Doctor Greg didn't die.
"Bitch! Go and die!- he yelled and smash Eve in the floor. Shards of broken glass are everywhere. She gremace in pain when her back was stab by the sharp edges of the broken glass.
Doctor Greg pull Eve from the ground and smash her in the table.
Warm blood was oozing from her head. She felt dizzy and her sight become blurry slowly.
"What a tragic end"- she thought.
"If only there is such thing as reincarnation or rebirth.If that's will truly happen then I vow to have my revenge in my next life."
