Chapter 18 - The True Face of Kang

The gym wasn't enough anymore. Mikey needed to train harder, push himself further—but he didn't expect what he was about to stumble upon.

Walking through the outskirts of the school late one afternoon, Mikey noticed a commotion in the alley behind the gym. At first, he thought it was just a fight—but the sounds were different: grunts, thuds, screams muffled by blows.

Mikey's stomach dropped. He crept closer, heart pounding.

And then he saw it.

Kang. His muscles tense, fists flying like weapons. A smaller boy cowered on the ground, already bruised and bleeding. Every strike Kang threw landed with brutal precision, his Muay Thai strikes smashing ribs, knees slamming the stomach, elbows striking the head.

The boy groaned, barely conscious. Kang's eyes weren't just angry—they were cold, detached, almost enjoying the violence.

Mikey froze. This… this isn't just bullying. He's… he's killing him.

Kang's gaze flicked up and caught Mikey's eyes. For a brief moment, he smiled, casual and chilling. "Oh… Mikey. Didn't expect company," he said, voice calm, like chatting in a classroom.

Mikey's legs trembled. "K-Kang… stop! What are you doing?"

Kang's smirk widened. "Teaching him a lesson. And maybe his sister will learn too… if she comes along."

Mikey felt a surge of fear and rage. His body shook, but he clenched his fists. I can't let this happen. Not to him. Not to anyone.

Stepping into the alley, Mikey called out, "Kang! Enough!"

Kang's eyes narrowed, and his stance shifted instantly. Calm sociopath transformed into lethal predator. "You're stepping in? Cute… but don't think you can stop me."

[The Confrontation Begins]

Mikey's heart raced. Every lesson, every fight, every training session flashed through his mind. He knew he was outmatched—but he couldn't let Kang harm anyone else.

Kang advanced, strikes precise and brutal, aiming not just to hit—but to break Mikey. His elbows slammed toward Mikey's shoulders and head, knees aimed at ribs, every punch carrying the weight of lethal intent.

Mikey ducked and blocked, dodging as best he could, but the alley became a nightmare of flying fists, elbows, and knees. Each strike reminded him that Kang wasn't just a bully—he was a sociopath who thrived on fear and pain.

[Mikey's Resolve]

Blood trickled from Mikey's lip as he landed a counter strike to Kang's ribs. Kang staggered slightly but smiled, almost enjoying the damage.

"You've got guts," Kang said softly. "But this… this is how the world works. Only the strong survive."

Mikey's chest heaved. "Not like this… not with innocent people!" He planted his feet, ready to fight with everything he had.

I won't let him… I can't let him…

The alley fell silent for a brief second as Mikey prepared to confront Kang fully—a fight that would test everything he had learned, and show just how dangerous his new "friend" really was.
