Rudy noticed Helen's long silver colored hair, swaying in the wind as she walked in front of them.
Although, Helen was around 35 years old, Rudy couldn't help but be amazed by how she looked to be in her early twenties.
It was one of the few perks that came with being a demihuman in this world.
Helen also had beautiful hazel eyes and just the right amount of curves that clearly do not belong to a lady in her mid-thirties.
The same could be said about Leah as well whose body was unlike any other seventeen year old Rudy had seen in his previous world.
Pushing this thought aside for now, Rudy decided to focus on his environment once again.
A few minutes passed and they finally arrived at the cathedral.
Rudy noticed the large and tall building which had dozens of healers and priestesses moving about.
Each of them were wearing elegant robes of different colours but aside from the priestesses walking around, Rudy also noticed a couple of other children and their parents gathered near the main entrance of the cathedral.
The children were around the same age as Leah and Rudy, and they were all waiting for the priest to attend to them.
Meanwhile, Leah tightened her grip on Rudy's hand, and Rudy noticed this.
Just by the look of what she did, Rudy could see how anxious and nervous she was right now.
It seems her nervousness had now finally taken over the excitement she once had.
However, Helen noticed this as well, so she placed a hand on both of their shoulders, causing the two of them to tilt their heads towards her direction.
"Rudy? Leah?" Helen called out to the two of them.
"Yes mom?" Leah replied back and Helen assured them with a smile on her lips.
"No matter what talent you awaken, just know that it won't change how much I love you both, okay?"
Leah and Rudy both nodded and at that moment, a priestess dressed in elegant robes opened the main entrance door to attend to the children waiting for the priest.
She stepped forward and addressed the children.
"All children participating in the Awakening Ceremony should please follow me inside,"
She turned around and the children stepped inside the grand cathedral along with her.
While walking along with them, Rudy noticed that the children trailing behind the priestess were approximately twenty in numbers, including him and Leah.
Out of the twenty children here for the awakening ceremony, Rudy noticed that more than half of them were humans while the rest of them were demihumans.
He spotted a few children with rabbit ears, then he noticed another with cat-like features and there was even a boy with dog ears as well.
It was strange seeing so many different races together like this.
Since, he had never left Rabbi Village before, this would be the first time Rudy would be close to a demi-human different from a rabbit folk.
It was a new experience for him but it was definitely an experience he didn't dislike.
After a few minutes of walking, the group finally arrived at a large chamber deep within the cathedral.
The room was circular in shape and there were tall stone pillars supporting the ceilings, but at the center of the chamber, there was a stone tablet, placed on top of a marble pedestal.
Rudy also noticed a priest standing beside the tablet but his hands were rested calmly in front of him as he watched the children approaching towards his direction.
Standing behind the priest, were three beautiful healers.
All three of them were beautiful elves and they were wearing a white and silver ceremonial robe that made them stand out from all the other healers Rudy and the other children had encountered and noticed, roaming around the cathedral.
Rudy looked around the grand chamber once again before returning his gaze back to the priest and the three elves who had a calm expression on their faces.
"Welcome, young ones, to your awakening ceremony," The priest smiled warmly as he addressed the children.
"Standing before you is the Sacred Stone of Awakening which will help reveal your destined talent. Now, please step forward, one by one and place your hand upon the stone,"
Hearing what the priest said, some of the children gulped nervously, while others lined up excitedly.
Seeing that all the children were now lined up, the priest smiled and said. "Let us begin,"
He gestured toward the first child in line and the young human boy stepped forward.
His hands trembled a bit as he reached for the stone but the moment his palm touched the tablet, the Norse runes inscribed on the stone's surface began to glow in a faint blue hue.
The runes glowed brightly before rising into the air, spiraling around in circles before forming a string of glowing letters in front of the priest's eyes.
The priest read the words and smiled at the boy. "Congratulations, young man. You have awakened THE COMBAT TALENT: SWORDSMAN,"
The boy's eyes widened in shock, then his face slowly lit up with pure excitement.
"Yes!!" He clenched his fist and pumped it into the air.
The priest smiled even more and the three beautiful elves giggled as well.
Since the boy would be a swordsman, it meant that he had awakened a combat talent.
Most children in this world dreamed of awakening a combat talent because of the riches and fame that accompanied such a talent and in this case of the human boy, he had awakened one of the most respected talent in the world.
The Swordsman Talent.
Moreover, he was a commoner, so he had a really high chance of becoming a noble in the future through meritocracy.
In other words, the young boy had a great future ahead of him, and he couldn't wait to see what the future had in store for him.
He turned toward the other children and smiled toothily before giving a deep bow to the priest and the three elves. "Thank you, Priest! Thank you priestesses!!"
The three elves giggled and smiled at how adorable he looked while bowing respectfully to them.
Then they watched as a priestess stepped into the chamber and gently led the boy toward a different section where he would be discovering his elemental affinity.
