Chapter 9 - Forced Entry

The more she drew closer to the iron door in front of her, the more she drowned in her sea of thoughts. Even though her expression didn't give her away she prayed deeply that Kael's loose plan would manage to work out. This was one of those circumstances where humans still cling unto hope even if the margins are slim.

Yimu's body was operating on sheer instinct. This had been her usual protocol for as long as her memory could serve her. She'd always report to the person at the other side of the door before attempting other activities of the day, if any.

Her fingers met with the metal door twice with a hard kiss and the sound pulled her back from her little trip. She tightened her grip around the metal door and pushed hard entering into an office that also served as a bedroom.

Sitted on his desk was Spear. He looked like he was still in his twenties, filled with youthful vigor and looks. He was dressed in a white sleeping robe. A tobacco stick in between his rough dry lips.

"You're early today" Spear said, the sleep still lingering in his eyes

"This is the usual time I come to your office" Yimu said mechanically, as though her every word were programmed in her to be spoken in a manner that bore no emotions

Spear relaxed on his office chair. "I'll be straight with you. You are boring as hell. Yeah I know I told you to always report to me everyday but don't you have other things to do? Like come on…did you skip puberty or what, where the hell did you drop your rebellious phase??" Spear's eyes had become clear. He glanced at Yimu and could only notice she was on her ever stoic expression

He clicked his tongue and sat upright, locked his fingers together and rested his head on them "Speaking of rebelling. I heard you've made new friends"

Yimu's fingers twitched after hearing that part. Spear was quick to notice that and concluded that his sources were reliable.

"My Yimu. I know you won't betray me, isn't that the reason why you're here right now. Definitely if you intended to take me down you must at least arm yourself. Still here you stand, bare."

He stood up and closed the distance between them. Being close to him made her skin crawled. It gave the feeling of a thousand needles being pieced into her skin. Her breath was dragged, she was sweating from her palms and feets. She was terrified of him.

"I don't kill because I want to. I kill because I have to. So please don't put me in a situation where I will have to kill you, I'm fond of you. And remember that I have your father, your little brother. They are all safe because of me – because you work for me. Do you want that to change?" He asked. It was a rhetorical question that had only one answer

"So I want you to go back there and end this little friends of your's before something terrible–"

While talking their feet suddenly gave up and they went down on their knees. Every cell in their body screemed in panic. The presence was so heavy it drew out all the strength in them leaving them weak and powerless

Spear instantly recognized this feeling. It would be a shame to not recognize Conquerors Haki attack after his time on the treacherous seas.

He looked at Yimu. Who was also in the same predicament as himself, shocked, weak and on her knees. He asked her "Who did you bring here?"

She remained silent. Spear grew impatient with her. He pulled himself back on his feet and with a thundering voice he barked

"Who the hell did you bring to this island?!!!"

"I don't know!" Yimu whimpered, for the first time she let out an act that looked human. Her face flushed red, her eyes gaining a bit of life as hot tears rolled down her cheeks. She repeated in a trembling voice almost inaudible "I don't know who they are?"

He glanced at her one last time with eyes full of scorn then strode to his wardrobe to get dressed

"Tell Jones to meet me at the store room and prepare an evacuation ship immediately." He ordered.

Yimu's feet regained their strength. The drowsiness gradually fading away, she dragged herself to the iron door and flipped.

Then something occurred to her, it was like coming to a realization. The heavy presence that left her cowering on her face had revealed something to her.

It was no doubt Kael or Leonard, she thought to herself.

If just one of them could drop Spear to his knees without even laying a finger on him, then there's definitely a chance the plan would work

Yimu's gaze shifted to the blade almost as tall as her resting as a decoration on the wall. It was a saber but a bit longer than most

With the thought that any sleep off will cost her life she darted towards the blade and took hold of it pointing the tip at him.

Spear turned, facing her with a smile "Finally!!" There was an eerie satisfaction in his tone "But too bad for you princess your rebellious phase just had a bad timing"

Everyone at the docks had dropped to the ground like dominoes. Although Kael's Conqueror's Haki outburst was great, he struggled to control it in a manner that wouldn't affect his allies around him.

Even though Leonard stood behind Kael as he directed it didn't prevent him from being affected by the Haki outburst. He struggled to stay on his feet and staggered once in a while.

Kael looked at the factory then the pirate's blade in his hand, an idea came into mind which made him smile. He spread his legs – one ahead the other, took the blade back then infused it with Armament and Conquerors Haki causing a massive burst of shockwave traveling through the ground and air

A crack appeared at the side of the blade which Kael didn't notice yet.

He moved forward about to cut the factory in half, the crack on the blade spread like some virus and the whole blade scattered causing shards of blade to spread.

"Damn it"

Kael cursed then turned to Leonard who was surprised. "The next phase??"

"Oh yes. We should proceed into their base" Leonard answered

They dash to the factory building and on approaching there's someone coming out from the main entrance.

He was in black tuxedo and on black tinted glasses

"You know the guy?" Kael asked, sensing that he wasn't like the rest of the foot soldiers he just took care of.

"Yeah, that is Jones. Spears right hand man" Leonard said

Kael laughed heartily "Then that my target" He said "Just keep running straight for their base I'll take of him in a bit and join you"

John had noticed Leonard, he adjusted his glasses "You again, Leonard?" He said to Leonard though he paid him no attention and ran past him

"Hey, four eyes, I'm your man"

Kael jumped at Jones and swung his hand into a hard hook aiming for Jones head. Jones caught with his left arm, but it cracked under the force and the hit sent him flying back. He dug his feet into the ground to stop himself, leaving marks in the dirt. He looked at Kael, his eyebrows pulled tight with confusion.

"Are you his new friend" He asked

"You got that right" Kael answered

"That is truly unfortunate"
