Just as he ended his call, a voice came from behind.
"Young master," his butler said respectfully, "the master has asked me to remind you that you shouldn't stay here for long. Given the current atmosphere, it would be better if no one learned of your presence."
The man chuckled softly, his smile edged with irony.
"Is he worried for me… or for his precious adopted son?"
The butler lowered his gaze, not daring to respond. He only sighed inwardly, his thoughts heavy. Ever since the accident, the distance between master and young master has only grown wider. It feels as if he has completely changed…
Turning to leave, the butler was stopped by the man's voice once more.

His mother immediately looked up as he stepped inside.
"Eren, you're home. Freshen up, I'll have dinner set for you." Turning toward the maid standing nearby, she added, "Merry, the young master has returned. Prepare the table."
Merry nodded with a cheerful smile. "Yes, madam."
Before Eren could respond, his younger sister rushed forward, excitement lighting her face.
"Brother! How was your day today? Don't forget, Grandpa invited all of us to his house this Sunday!"
Eren gave a simple hum in response, his expression unreadable, as his thoughts remained elsewhere.
