Walking out of the elevator, Sorrell noticed a black Ivy Flex parked in front of the apartment building.
Corvin stepped out of the car, noticing Sorrell. He held onto the suitcase Sorrell was holding and put it inside the car. He opened the car door to the passenger seat for Sorrell.
Sorrell was about to sit, but he turned around to Corvin, "Even if Aramin tried to get to you, don't hurt him. He might try to hurt me. Whatever the circumstances are, don't think about killing him or anything like that." Sorrell's voice was soft yet heavy.
Corvin cupped his face, "I promised you, I won't hurt him."
Sorrell pulled himself out of his grip and sat down, closing the door. Corvin stood there frozen for a while before snapping out and walking to the driver's seat.
FLASHBACK
Corvin's guards were standing in the hallway while Corvin walked to Aramin's apartment door. He stood in front of the door, facing it. One of the guards knocked at the door, but there was no answer. The guard knocked once again, and Aramin opened the door. The guards rushed to grab Aramin as they dragged him inside to the living room and made him kneel in front of Corvin, who slowly walked inside observing the surroundings.
Aramin tried to fight them with his pheromones, but their pheromones suppressed his.
"Don't waste your energy," Corvin's voice was sharp. "They are all Alphas. Although I am enough to protect myself, I don't want to get myself dirty."
"Who the hell are you? What do you want?" Aramin growled.
"I already have what I want. I just want you to behave yourself if you don't want to die." Corvin squatted in front of Aramin to look into his eyes. "I actually love Sorrell..."
"How dare you call his name!" Aramin screamed in his face, to which Corvin squinted his eyes before slowly opening them again.
"He is mine." Corvin was graced with a proud smile. "I marked him, and he belongs to me."
He got up and looked at the couple pictures of Sorrell and Aramin on the wall. "That being said, I want you to stay away from him."
"Who the fuck are you to tell me what to do?" Aramin jolted, still being held by the guards on his knees.
Corvin dragged a chair and sat down in front of him. "Have you heard of Corvin Pharmaceuticals? I am the CEO of that company. Do you know about me?"
"Enigma!"
"Yessss," Corvin pressed onto the word. His eyes changed color from black to violet blue, and Aramin gasped at the sight. "You get it right. Stay away from Sorrell before I get rid of you."
Corvin got up and walked to the door, then he froze suddenly. "Burn all the couple pictures," he instructed the guards.
"Yes, sir," they replied in unison.
END OF FLASHBACK
The car stopped in front of the Corvin mansion. Sorrell was too nervous to step out of the car and sat there staring at the mighty palace like building.
"Are you okay?" Corvin asked, looking at his pale complexion.
"My feet are numb." Sorrell's voice was shaking.
"If you don't like me or feel uncomfortable with living here, I will get you a separate place to stay, so don't worry."
"And who said I like you? I just want to protect my baby."
"Got it," Corvin said before wrapping his arms around Sorrell, one arm behind Sorrell's back and another under his legs, holding him like a princess and placing his feet on the ground. Sorrell stumbled, and Corvin quickly wrapped his arm around his shoulders to support him.
"I told you my feet are numb, you should have waited," Sorrell yelled out of embarrassment.
Corvin turned to look at Sorrell. He seemed like he would burst out crying at any moment. Corvin took him in his arms.
"It will be alright, it's okay, don't worry." Sorrell finally started sniffling as his tears streamed down.
"If you do anything illegal or hurt anyone, I will leave you right away," Sorrell's voice cracked. "I don't want my baby to have a negative impact."
"Sorrell, I promised you, I will never do such a thing. If you want me to change, then I will change no matter how hard it is."
Sorrell pulled himself out of Corvin's grip and wiped his tears. "Where is my room?"
"Should I carry you to your room?"
"No," Sorrell stumbled back, "just lead the way."
Corvin walked slowly keeping an eye on Sorrell who was following him with slow steps.
"This is your room," Corvin opened the door to a spacious room. "My room is right next to you. Tell me if you need anything."
"I am tired, I will take a rest then." Sorrell walked inside and closed the door behind him. He plopped in front of the door and buried his face in his knees.
Corvin could hear all his movements. Is he forcing himself for the sake of the baby?
Later at night, Corvin knocked at the door. "Sorrell, come out for dinner."
No answer was heard and Corvin stood there in silence for a while. Then he heard Sorrell wearing slippers and walking towards the door.
Sorrell walked to the dining table with slow steps and sat down to eat. He was taking bites like some machinery chewing and swallowing, and then the next bite.
"Should I help you with soothing pheromones?" Corvin suggested.
"Soothing pheromones?"
"You feel so down, I am afraid it will affect the baby's health."
"Is that so?" Sorrell looked down. "I am trying to cheer up, but my heart keeps sinking."
Corvin stood up and dragged Sorrell's chair to make Sorrell face him. He placed Sorrell's head at his belly, embracing him with his arms, and started releasing soothing pheromones.
Is that too much for him? Such an innocent soul how did he put up with years of abuse?
