Chapter 307 - Infinite Series: Luke! Luke! [Part 3]

"Isn't this behavior a bit too much?" The captain's inner morality pushed him hard, making it difficult for him to speak.

"If it means exterminating them, that's indeed a bit too much. But if you feed someone a mouthful of poison and then put the antidote in his hand, that doesn't count. Because you gave him the right to choose." Middle-aged Luke replied calmly.

"You're just trying to quibble." The captain was somewhat helpless. The art of language had truly become mastered by this middle-aged Luke. Even if there was an antidote, who would be willing to drink poison for no reason?

"No, I'm just stating the truth. Don't let your inner moral compass get the better of you. I strongly recommend you try the Filter Package; it will at least protect you from the ring's influence.

Also, you have to consider the pressure on me. Energy Bank has brought in a bunch of shareholders, and they invested so much upfront to see the future and the profits. Once this chariot starts moving, it will be impossible to stop unless the car is destroyed and everyone on board is killed. They already know the coordinates, so it's either us or them."

"What if they still resist?" The captain asked one more question. Of course, he didn't intend to make accusations here and there and be a disgusting pseudo-saint. He just asked for an answer under the control of his inner moral sense.

"Then let's make their universe the Abyssal Universe. You see, they've already lost their way out, haven't they? If they follow us, they can still survive. If they leave us, even if we do nothing, they'll eventually face the despairing abyss. Worse still, they'll discover they're already inside it."

Luke stepped forward and patted the captain on the shoulder. "Don't dwell on it. I've already subcontracted all these tasks out. We're the poor workers. I think you should go on a date with your lover and meet some friends.

You might not know this, but Tony and Pepper are finally married and have a lovely child. Becky loves her dearly. But Tony has always believed that Becky's behavior is corrupting his precious daughter. He's already complained to me more than once, and now I'm avoiding him.

Nick is still working hard to pay off his debts, but the SHIELD he leads has been developing well recently, and its business has expanded to other civilizations in the universe. He should be on a business trip to Xandar now. You can contact him through the ring network to see if he is willing to put aside his business and come back to see you.

Master Stephen Strange and his senior, Master Mordo, had a disagreement. With neither able to convince the other, Master Mordo and a group of like-minded mages left Kamar-Taj. Of course, they didn't completely sever ties with Stephen; they remained part of the Sorcerer Supreme lineage, but they had established their own divisions. Master Strange had recently been assigned a lot of work by the Energy Bank, and his mages were very busy, so you might not be able to see him without an appointment.

As for Dr. Banner, his relationship journey has been a bit bumpy. If I had to say, it's a complete mess. So he went on a business trip with Nick, saying he needed to relax. But after hearing about your return, he should be rushing back to see you soon. After all, they've been worried about you for the past few years."

"Has it changed so much?" The captain was filled with excitement upon hearing about his companions' recent situation. However, he soon realized something was amiss. He looked at the middle-aged Luke and asked bewilderedly, "Where's Thor? Why haven't you told me anything about him?"

"Thor? Forget about that. He's fighting with his sister for the throne of Asgard." Middle-aged Luke spread his hands. "I'm afraid he doesn't have time to see you right now."

"Fighting for the throne?" The captain was stunned. "Where's that God King?"

"Are you referring to the God-King Odin? He has retired just like the Ancient One and is now living out his days in the Energy Bank, making use of his remaining energy." said the middle-aged Luke.

Of course, the God King Odin was not going there to retire, but he found that as the number of shareholders of the Energy Bank increased, the pressure on him as the founding major shareholder became inexplicably greater.

Although Luke had forcibly brought the multi-dimensional demons together through various means, the fierce competition between the strong and the weak remained unrelenting. This pressure, in turn, rejuvenated Odin, whose mindset and body became younger and stronger, and rekindled his youthful, powerful spirit. To prevent himself and Asgard from being devoured, he simply abandoned the throne, which had consumed so much of his energy, and, like the Ancient One, entered the energy bank to protect his power and civilization, while also increasing his own strength.

"Does Thor have a sister?" the captain asked at a loss.

"Hela Odinson! A warmongerer, who was thrown into the underworld by Odin to reflect. When Odin stepped down from the throne, Hela gained freedom. Now the three brothers and sisters are fighting over the establishment of their ruling style." Middle-aged Luke shrugged.

"Didn't Tony and the others go to help Thor?" the captain asked in confusion.

"This is a test from Odin. In other words, this is a family affair of the Odinson family and an internal affair of Asgard. Unless the situation deteriorates to a point that Odin cannot accept, he will not allow others to interfere.

Rumor has it, Mephisto and Dormammu are very optimistic about Hela. If it weren't for Odin, they might be more willing to support Hela's ascension. I don't know the specifics, but Odin is keeping a tight rein on this. "If you want to see Thor, you need to wait until everything is settled." Middle-aged Luke was already trying to end the conversation.

"Also, if you don't want to lose your lover, you'd better go home."

"What do you mean?" The captain, stimulated by Luke's last friendly reminder, stepped forward excitedly and grabbed Luke's shoulders.

"What I'm saying is, in that other universe, you're living with that Peggy all the time. While the captain's morals are trustworthy, he seems a bit overwhelmed." Middle-aged Luke shrugged. "Do you want me to open a portal for you? Considering our friendship, it's free this time!"

"Them?" The captain looked at Wayne and others who were struggling in the light and shadow.

"Don't worry about them. It's just an illusion in the mind. Their lives are not in danger. Whenever they use the key, they can unlock it and get out. If they are willing, I can send them back." Middle-aged Luke followed the captain's gaze and looked at the people in the light and shadow, and comforted them.
