Luke's plane landed, but before he could leave the airport, he was intercepted by a hastily arriving Nick Fury. The motorcade headed straight for the Hebron Industrial Park.
When they arrived at the destination and entered the meeting room specially used for discussing matters, Nick, who had been holding it in all the way, couldn't help but start asking for details.
"Is Dr. Strange sure he's staying there?" Nick started with Stephen.
"Yes, he was considered very talented by the Supreme Sorcerer Ancient One and was accepted as his disciple." Luke nodded in the affirmative.
"That Ancient One, no, I mean magic, does it really exist?" Nick still had doubts.
"What do you mean?" Luke asked first. Then, when Nick wanted to ask more, he opened his hand and made a rejection gesture, saying apologetically, "Wait a moment, I need to receive a package."
Under Nick's wide-open, stunned expression, a tiny spark fell to the ground as Luke's voice began to sound, and continued to expand in the air, eventually spinning out a circle of light half a person's height. A red ribbon smelled the scent and rushed out of the circle of light at lightning speed, circling around Luke, and then the circle of light quickly disappeared, turning into a ball of sparks and vanishing.
"This...?" Nick's face was filled with suppressed shock. But before he could finish his words, he was surprised to see the red ribbon that had sprung out, and the floating body in mid-air tightened, like a snake contracting its muscles before hunting, and then pounced on Luke.
Bang!
The front end of the strap turned into a slap and slapped hard on a hexagonal light shield.
Luke, who was beaten, sat in his seat calmly.
Bang bang bang!
The light shields blocked all the attacks from the belts like a game of whack-a-mole.
"The evidence you requested." Luke didn't look at the joyful belt. Before leaving yesterday, he took a tour of the Supreme Sorcerer's artifact library, accompanied by Master Mordo. Ultimately, among several artifacts that interested Luke, he chose this magical belt, with its own consciousness. Well, because of the initial shield's spontaneous protection, the belt couldn't fully approach Luke, which made the consciousness within it very dissatisfied.
Last night, Luke had watched Bracelet fight the Light Shield Mole all night long. Bracelet's consciousness was extremely persistent and did not seem to be very smart. Even though Luke cancelled the protection of the Light Shield and gave Bracelet permission to approach, the opponent still did not give up. It hooked a corner of the Bracelet and gestured, indicating Luke to let go of the Light Shield.
Luke thought that breaking the light shield would quiet the bands, but it proved otherwise; instead, they intensified their attack. So, as he boarded the plane, Luke had no choice but to temporarily hand them over to the Ancient One, waiting to teleport back after landing. The reason he didn't use the portal directly back to Hyperion, instead letting the private jet fly back, was naturally to avoid unnecessary trouble.
"Okay, I'm starting to believe there's magic in this world." Nick rubbed his forehead. "So, what kind of agreement did you reach with the Sorcerer Supreme?"
"Before answering this question, I want to ask, if the world starts to change, will you stand on the side of those politicians, or on the side of maintaining world order?" Luke did not give an immediate answer, but asked Nick instead.
"It seems your discussion with that wizard involves a rather large-scale plan." Nick was perceptive. Looking at the bandit diligently playing with the light shield, he felt his head ache again. For a moment, he even wondered if he shouldn't have come to him immediately.
There was no doubt in his mind, based on past experience, that Nick had sensed that Luke had dug a bottomless pit ahead of him, and that he might have to jump into it.
"Just say whatever you want to say. The bond between us is already very strong now, and I don't mind if it's even stronger. But first, you have to let me know what you and those mages want to do, right?" Nick sighed and said with some exhaustion.
"Have I ever told you about the duties of a wizard?" Luke asked.
"It seems to be to prevent the invasion of some dimensional demon?" Nick closed his eyes and thought for a while, then gave the answer he had heard from Luke.
"Yes, but what you don't know is that many dimensional demons have their own representatives on this planet. From your perspective, these people are all potentially dangerous elements that may cause chaos in the future." Luke said as he called out to the White Queen and pulled up a lot of pictures on the virtual screen.
There was a skull on a motorcycle, a muscled, unidentified warrior wearing an iron helmet, and a woman named Ophelia Sarkissian, nicknamed Viper, who was in a state of panic, fleeing from a group of mages with a burst of power. There were many similar figures projected on the screen. So many that it made Nick's scalp tingle.
"Behind each of these stands a dimensional demon, some powerful, some weak." Luke disclosed all the information he obtained from the Master to S.H.I.E.L.D., "and many of these, S.H.I.E.L.D. alone cannot resolve."
"The mages don't care?" Nick looked at the densely packed demon representatives and felt that the number of his safe houses seemed to be expanding again.
"It's difficult to manage. Firstly, the number of mages is relatively small, while the dimensional demons eyeing this planet and this universe are numerous. Even the Supreme Mage's lineage derives its power from a powerful, relatively friendly dimensional demon. In other words, the protective power constructed by the mages can only prevent large-scale demon invasions and the projection of excessive power onto this planet.
Furthermore, as long as the enemy didn't unleash excessive power and trigger an alarm, they wouldn't be able to manage it when they were busy. "Luke shrugged," he said, "it's like even a country with perfect systems can hardly stop stowaways."
"We can help," Nick suggested. "If they're willing to share their mage knowledge, we can also offer something else in exchange."
"This is the most embarrassing thing, because apart from daily necessities, it is difficult for wizards to have any demand for barter with humans. But that was in the past. I discussed a rough cooperation framework with the Supreme Sorcerer. If everything goes well in the future, we can get on the right track. If there is any accident, it may take some time to change the route. I can give you a place on the bus. After all, if all goes well in the future plans, the wizards will definitely have to establish several liaison agencies with the human world. You see, our previous cooperation was very pleasant, and I am willing to let S.H.I.E.L.D. serve as this liaison agency. But first, I have to make sure where you stand at the critical moment?" Luke said.
"If those mages are indeed guardians as you said, then my choice is obvious. I will stand with you and the mages while I can still control the situation." Nick said seriously.
"Then let's talk about one of the plans I have with the Sorcerer Supreme." Luke tapped the virtual screen, and a plan that surprised Nick appeared on the screen.
"Dimensional Demon Spokesperson Visa Program."
