Chapter 119 - Emotions, mind, spirit, faith?

"When you were parasitizing him, didn't you copy even a little bit of his talent or read through even a little bit of his memory?" Luke frowned.

"That guy's mind is full of women, and the most profound memories are all images related to reproduction. Okay, I remembered some of them. But my memory doesn't have the answers you want." Venom spread his hands very humanely.

"What's the symbiote's diet?" Luke asked.

"Strictly speaking, we can eat anything and we're not picky. But in reality, we all have our own tastes." Venom answered honestly.

"What does phenylethylamine mean to you?" Luke asked again.

"It's roughly equivalent to food for you humans, or salt?" Venom thought carefully and offered a close, but not entirely accurate, answer. After all, pure phenylethylamine could satisfy the symbiote's food needs, while pure salt couldn't replace food for humans. He looked at Luke, "Don't you know all this?"

"Yeah." Luke couldn't help but think of the batch of black nightmare seeds he had sown. He still hadn't cracked their secrets, but there was no doubt that they merged with intelligent creatures, affecting the host's senses and emotions. Finally, when the host died, they would transform into a strange energy and return to their source.

That is, inside Luke's body!

Luke's technology now allows creatures with special powers to transform into a crystal containing a large amount of energy after death. Their spiritual energy also possesses a certain influence.

For example, vampires.

For example, the so-called magic of the vampires, which can only be used by those with vampire genes.

What Luke is considering now is whether the emotions and souls of ordinary people can also serve as a special kind of energy?

Or to put it another way, replace emotion with spirit, intention, mind, or even faith?

Luke felt that if he could truly prove this, perhaps he would be able to unlock a significant portion of the manufacturing technology for the [Black Nightmare Seed]. This thought suddenly made him feel somewhat uninterested in the research he was currently conducting.

"I decided to give you a vacation." Luke suddenly said to Venom.

"Cough cough cough!" Venom opened his mouth wide, not even noticing the soul crystal falling out of his mouth: "What did you say?"

"Get ready. I'll have Snoke take you to Stark Tower." Luke said softly, "You'd better copy more useful things this time."

Venom was momentarily bewildered, unsure how to respond to Luke's question. However, he was content to be able to get some fresh air and have a host. After all, the nature of a symbiote is to coexist with a host they get along with, rather than constantly talking to themselves.

As for what Luke told him, well, he probably wouldn't forget it.

Venom was sent from the lab to Tony Stark Tower. The reason? Well, Venom said he missed his little brother.

On the other hand, in Heberon, Luke has already launched the experimental plan in a vigorous and decisive manner.

"First, we need to create a collection device."

Fortunately, after experiencing the vampires and coming into contact with the power of two-dimensional demons, Luke wasn't completely at ease with these special powers and devices with certain illusory concepts, but he wasn't completely lost, not knowing how to proceed. The most frightening thing about research is a tangled mess, with no clear end in sight.

Once you have a clue, you have a goal. The next step is to see whether the route you choose is right or wrong, and to continuously reduce troubles and obstacles, and finally reach the destination of success.

The help and role that the maker's talent template can play in this process is immeasurable.

Concept giving!

Luke was not reluctant to use up his limited stored energy to conduct an experiment.

The manufacture of the device did not waste Luke's too much time. With his active talent and a lot of inspiration flowing in his mind, Luke only took six days to create the first prototype from scratch.

It was very simple, with an irregular cylindrical shape, 50 centimeters high and 1.2 meters in diameter.

Luke transported it to the vampire warehouse within the laboratory. There were security patrols there who had taken werewolf potions and could transform into werewolves at any time. There were also layers of anti-vampire weapons as a backup defense, and White Queen and Terra were constantly monitoring them 24 hours a day. Therefore, even if the vampires here were elite fighters, simply escaping from the inside without any accidents would be impossible.

As dark creatures, their mental strength is far greater than that of ordinary people. Luke planned to first test the prototype with these vampires to see how effective it was, then conduct a second and third test based on the results and make corresponding adjustments. Of course, this would first be based on the prototype being effective!

The five steps of science: observe, hypothesise, predict, experiment, and draw conclusions.

Luke's appearance had clearly galvanized some of the chosen, depressed vampires. Over time, they'd seen many of their compatriots taken away by this man, the lucky ones able to return, the unlucky ones never to return. Coupled with the crazed rants of those lucky enough to survive the experiment, Luke's name had gradually become a demonic figure in the minds of these vampires.

No vampire who had been here long enough would not be struck by a tremor at the sight of Luke approaching, their emotions swirling wildly. Those chosen were naturally filled with anxiety and despair, while those not chosen were secretly delighted, yet also filled with resentment and sorrow. As for resistance? The militant faction certainly had resisted before, but the outcome wasn't pretty.

This laboratory is more like a cage specifically for vampires. Ultraviolet weapons are everywhere, which can easily cause huge damage to the rebellious vampires.

Luke started up the prototype and waited expectantly.

Time ticked by, Luke patiently waiting. As this was his first experiment, he could only use his own skills to determine how long it would take to collect a small amount of emotional and mental energy. He also needed to gradually test the state of the energy provider, along with its mental fluctuations. He also had to take into account any potential variations in the process, as well as any discrepancies from his presumed analysis.

For Luke, everything else was irrelevant. As long as he could truly gather the energy he'd envisioned, the experiment would be a success. And once he'd crossed the threshold of success, all subsequent troubles and mishaps would be nothing more than incremental improvements.
