"What's going on?" Carlton Drake looked gloomily at his trusted security chief. Having just secured a stable experimental subject, he'd failed again. He was in a bad mood. If his trusted security chief couldn't reveal anything important, he would unleash his fury on him.
"We checked the surveillance and questioned the security guard on duty last night. After eliminating all possible suspects, we determined that the person who brought people into the company and caused the commotion last night was Dora Scholes's doctor." Terry also noticed his boss's dissatisfaction and quickly reported everything he had found out to Carlton.
"Damn it!" Carlton clenched his fist and struck the air fiercely with a hammer, his face gloomy as he asked, "Where is she?"
"Just an hour before we confirmed her as a suspect, she left the company, claiming she left important data at home and needed to go back to retrieve it," Terry said. Seeing his boss's face grow even darker, he quickly added, "But I've already sent someone after her."
"Where is the man she brought with her?" demanded Carlton.
"Several security guards who met the intruder last night said that he looked like a famous reporter in the past," said Terry.
"Reporter? Ha, this reminds me of a guy who once embarrassed me." Carlton sneered: "Go find him, what was his name? I remember the company that reporter used to work for. No, there's no need to call his former company. I remember, Eddie Brock? A lousy reporter who always wants big news but can't judge the situation. Some mediocre people always stand in the way of pioneers without knowing their own limitations. They don't understand how great the cause I'm doing is!"
…
"Who are they? Your friends?"
In Eddie's house, Dr. Dora, who had just been brought here with her children, asked Eddie the first question she asked when she saw him.
"Actually, I don't know who they are. But he said he could help us." Eddie felt the insatiable hunger rising in his body again. He felt like he was about to give up.
"You're not in good condition! You're being infested by a symbiote! Oh my god!" Dr. Dora saw at a glance that Eddie's current condition was identical to those of the test subjects in the lab. She tugged at her hair anxiously, wanting to get closer but afraid to. Finally, she turned her gaze to Snoke and the others in the room. "He needs treatment. Take him to the Life Foundation. He might be able to live longer."
"It's actually not that scary, Ms. Dora." Snoke waved his hand and turned his gaze to Eddie: "Mr. Brock, if you don't mind, I can help you recover and drive out the symbiote in your body."
"That's great." Eddie gave an ugly smile.
Under the stunned gazes of Dora and Eddie, Snooker took off his right glove and his right arm twisted and transformed with a series of mechanical parts, forming a peculiar trumpet-shaped circular weapon. He then aimed the weapon at Eddie. At Snooker's light-hearted reminder, "Bear with it, the process might be a little uncomfortable," a strong sound wave visible to the naked eye gushed out, enveloping Eddie.
Eddie subconsciously covered his head. He felt as if his head was about to explode. His whole body was twitching. He wanted to dodge but couldn't. After only twenty or thirty seconds, when Eddie was about to go crazy, a ball of black liquid finally separated from his body and was directly captured by Snooker's subordinates who had been waiting for a long time. It was locked in a transparent glass jar.
By the way, this jar was once used to lock up Miss Quiet, who was very irritable, for 30 minutes, so its protective effect has been verified.
Snooker deactivated his powerful sonic weapon. After a series of twists and turns, the mechanical parts transformed into a shiny metallic mechanical arm before Dora's astonished gaze. Snooker casually put his gloves back on and said, "Alright, problem solved."
"Who are you?" Even Eddie Brock, who had just gotten up from the ground and felt much more relaxed and no longer had that unbearable feeling of hunger, realized that these people in front of him were unusual.
"The ones who helped you," Snoke replied, observing the symbiote within the container. "A word of advice: you'd better leave here and don't show up again until this is completely over. I believe Mr. Drake has discovered your identities and he won't let you go."
"We won't let him go!" Eddie got up from the ground and said angrily, "I've collected enough evidence. If we expose it to the public, he'll be in big trouble."
"The evidence you have will only give him a brief moment of anxiety, but it won't really do anything to him! I believe Mr. Drake wouldn't leave any fatal evidence for himself. Those test subjects should have signed contracts, which is enough for the other party to remain invincible with their wealth and size."
Snooker lamented their naiveté. He had seen far more ugliness and darkness than either of them, and he knew better the privileges and power wielded by the heads of major corporations in this country. To bring down a major entrepreneur like Carlton Drake based on so-called laboratory evidence was no easy task.
It is more likely that there will be no relevant reports leaked in this city at all.
"So when Drake did evil, did we just do nothing?" Eddie was a little indignant. He wanted big news, but now he also felt a certain urge to be on the side of justice. Snooker's words sounded like a blow to him.
"Of course." Snooker gave him an admiring look. "You can send me a copy of the evidence and try another approach."
"Didn't you say that these evidences are useless to Drake and his Life Foundation?" Eddie curled his lips.
"Mr. Brock, I want you to understand one thing: the same piece of evidence can have different destructive effects in different hands." Snooker smiled. "Besides, as my boss said, changing the perspective of many things can have immediate and significant effects."

So, when the honorable Director Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. went to work, he received a package of documents from Luke.
"There's a surprise!"
Nick Fury curled his lips subconsciously when he saw the file name. He had a premonition that this file would cause trouble.
