Chapter 67 - Ending

Tony Stark had just finished getting dressed when he was hit head-on by a cannonball while floating in the air. He flew backwards and landed directly on the other side of the main booth at the venue.

"Damn it, didn't you control them?" Tony, who was lying in a pile of rubble, shook his head, pushed the rubble off his body, and complained to Luke on the other end of the communication.

"I simply used a backdoor I knew to bypass the firewall and conduct data intrusion and interference. It's obvious that a technical expert is patching the loophole and competing with me for control," Luke replied, wearing a communication earpiece. Although Justin's software system technology was as poor as his weapons, the software programs of these giants before him were surprisingly excellent.

This is obviously the work of Ivan Vanko.

To be fair, the other party just doesn't have Stark's background and resources, otherwise he might be another Stark-like benchmark figure.

On the stage stood over twenty steel soldiers representing all branches of the military, including navy, army, and air force. Several of them were firing bullets indiscriminately. The target was clearly Tony. This forced Tony to nimbly dodge the roughly aimed, indiscriminately fired bullets in mid-air. Unfortunately, some at the conference had already been injured, some even killed.

"I understand, but it's hard to bring this up openly." Tony understood why Luke had discovered the Hammer Industries vulnerability; he'd done this all the time. So, he merely mentioned it briefly before changing the subject. "So, this probably wasn't an accident? Sorry, could you have someone take Pepper and the others away first?"

"They're well protected by Snoke." Luke glanced at Ina and Pepper, who were being guarded by Snoke and his team. Of course, several generals and congressmen attending the expo also came over and brought their men for protection. After all, Snoke and his team, dressed in Mark's Iron Man suits, certainly gave people a sense of security in this chaotic venue.

When Tony was flying in the air, a few shots from the energy pulse cannon directly turned the convulsed Iron Soldiers into scrap metal. Justin was reluctant to use the best materials for these mass-produced soldiers, so even if Tony's Mark series battle suit did not use any high-powered weapon modules, the energy pulse cannon alone was enough to deal with them.

James Rhodes, standing nearby, also regained control of his machine with Luke's help. To prevent the remaining Iron Soldiers from going haywire and posing a threat, he mercilessly used his shoulder cannon to turn the remaining Iron Soldiers into scrap metal. Justin Hammer, who was hiding far behind Ina and the others, twitched his eyes at this scene, feeling incredibly distressed.

These steel soldiers on the stage, even if they are mass-produced versions, cost more than 100 million US dollars each.

This is the price before Ivan transformed it!

In just such a short period of time, Hammer Military lost at least three or four billion US dollars!

But does he dare to protest?

He doesn't dare.

Ten minutes ago, he might have been a successful man with high spirits.

In a dozen minutes, he would probably be in a state of panic.

The main exhibition hall was packed with high-ranking figures, including members of Congress and senior military officials. If played well, it would naturally be a perfect platform for GG, but the current situation is likely to tarnish Hammer Arms' reputation within the industry. For at least a few years, the public will remember today's incident. Those injured or frightened at the conference today will likely remember it for a lifetime. Hammer Arms might even inexplicably gain a lot of hostility.

What's worse is that someone died!

Justin doesn't care whether people are dead or not, what he cares about is the identity of the dead people.

Ivan Vanko.

Justin immediately thought of the man behind all this! Only he could have caused these Iron Soldiers to lose control so easily! After all, he was the true creator of these Iron Soldiers! And then, he thought again, because the man was already dead, and he had always been guilty of misidentifying others, cultivating a genius persona like Stark. It was obvious that if he couldn't explain himself, he would be blamed.

Can you explain it clearly?

How could he possibly explain the things he'd done, all while hiding them from the world? If they were exposed, he'd be in just as much trouble. He didn't believe Stark and Heberon would be so magnanimous as to let him off the hook and not take advantage of his misfortune.

"What are you looking at?" Outside the venue, Peter Parker, who had run a long way and whose clothes were a little messy due to the pushing and squeezing of the crowd, looked at his female companion Gwen Stacy, who was also leaning on her knees and gasping for breath.

"I saw my dad." Gwen looked inside the venue. "He brought people into the venue."

"It's okay." Peter saw the worry on the girl's face and subconsciously mustered up his courage. He hugged her and comforted her, "Mr. Stark and the others are here. They will solve this trouble. The situation should be under control. Otherwise, those steel giants would have rushed out with the crowd and killed everyone."

Gwen said nothing, but simply reached out and hugged Peter as well.

"That's him."

Justin looked on in confusion as several policemen walked up to him and handcuffed him under the accusations of Ina and Pepper, the two responsible persons.

"According to the information we received, Justin used illegal means to rescue the dangerous Ivan Vanko from prison. Hammer Military's steel soldier technology also came from Ivan Vanko. He is the person most responsible for today's accident." Ina directly told her the information that Luke had passed on to her.

Watching Director George Stacy lead his men to take Justin away, Ina smiled happily at Pepper beside her: "I've wanted to do this for a long time."

"Is the matter resolved?" Pepper looked at the silent meeting room, worried about Tony's safety.

"He and Lieutenant Colonel James went to Hammer Industries' East Coast facility to deal with the real mastermind behind this." Luke's voice echoed nearby, answering Pepper's question. This was a conflict between the Stark and Vanke families, and he hadn't intervened to help Tony resolve their plans. While the original series saw both Tony and James' combined strength being at a disadvantage against Ivan's Whiplash suit, Tony's Mark VII now employed the TZ-92 from the Hybron Materials Library. Under Luke's influence, the other party hadn't hesitated to install weapons systems within their suits.

Even in a one-on-one fight, Stark's odds of winning are very high on Luke's side.
