★Nuel's Pov★
When my eyes opened, I found myself once again in the same room I had awakened in before. The very place I had been in before the chaos I'd witnessed in my dream.
I sat upright, clutching my head as a sharp ringing echoed through it. Thor the beta. His face… it was the same as Eryndor's beta I had seen in that dream. At least, that was the name he had been called.
My fingers dug into my scalp as fragments of memory surged back, piece by piece. I had beaten the Alpha of the North. My body had collapsed after laying eyes on the beta. The room now was nothing like before, as it was now clean and orderly, with no trace of the blood or the lifeless servant whose body had once stained the floor.
"You are awake," a soft voice drifted toward me. I turned sharply and found the elderly woman still seated there, utterly still, as though she had been waiting for me the entire time.
