Chapter 13 - Chapter 12: The Forgotten Flames of Kaguro

World Journey Arc – Hunt for Forbidden Power

The night sky stretched endlessly above Raizen as he rested in a hollow cave. His body was broken from the battle, his veins still burning from the forbidden ritual. He tried to close his eyes… but sleep did not come.

Instead, the whispers grew louder.

> "See… remember… witness what was lost…"

Raizen's vision blurred. His Sharingan spun violently, merging with the strange silver hue. And then—he was no longer in the cave.

He stood in a land of fire and ash. Before him, towers of obsidian stone pierced the heavens. Strange markings glowed along their sides, radiating with a power unlike anything Raizen had ever felt. And all around him, warriors stood—men and women cloaked in red and black, with eyes burning like white fire.

"The… Kaguro…" Raizen whispered.

A voice answered from behind him. "Yes. Once the greatest of us all."

Raizen turned. A figure approached—tall, regal, his eyes like blazing suns. His presence felt divine, overwhelming.

"You… are their memory," Raizen muttered.

The man smiled faintly. "I am Kaguro's last will. Once, our clan rivaled even the Ōtsutsuki. We wielded flames that devoured chakra itself—flames the gods feared."

Images flashed before Raizen's eyes:

A thousand Kaguro warriors standing against a descending Ōtsutsuki fleet.

Their fire burning through divine constructs, reducing even celestial beings to ash.

The heavens trembling as the Kaguro roared, defying fate itself.

But then the visions shifted. The skies rained white light—Ōtsutsuki meteors. Villages burned, children screamed. The mighty Kaguro towers crumbled into dust.

Raizen's fists clenched. "They exterminated you…"

The figure nodded. "We became too dangerous. The Ōtsutsuki feared no clan, save ours. And so they erased us, as they will erase all who defy them."

The memory flared brighter—Raizen saw the last stand: the Kaguro king igniting himself in divine flame, burning an entire Ōtsutsuki god to cinders before collapsing into nothingness.

> "But hatred… does not burn away so easily."

The figure's eyes locked on Raizen. "You now carry our curse. Our vengeance. The world will turn against you as it did us. Even those you love will betray you."

Raizen's breath quickened. "Why show me this?"

The figure stepped closer. "Because you chose our power. And with it, you inherit our fate."

Suddenly the vision shattered. Raizen jolted awake, his body drenched in sweat. His hands trembled as embers flickered from his fingertips—embers not of Uchiha flame, but of Kaguro's white fire.

He whispered to himself, his voice hollow.

"The Kaguro's curse… is now mine."

As the cave grew silent once more, Raizen understood: his path would not only be against the nations or even the Leaf. He was now bound to an ancient war—the war of gods and the forgotten clan who once dared to oppose them.
