# Chapter 148 (Not Main Story) Letter of Apology

The Observatory Star arc is the one I have received the most questions and criticisms about, bar none.
It spanned a total of thirty-six chapters, crossing four events:

I don't think this counts as filler, right?
Back then, I wrote 35 chapters just for the Second Eruption.
Because I hadn't seen many people writing about the Captain's storyline or the manga storyline, I wrote about them.
I'm referring to ["The Stranger"](story).
There are people who, having never seen the Captain's storyline, don't really like it and complain about me constantly writing about it.
I am an old Captain myself, so I thought a lot of people were familiar with it, but I forgot: many more have quit Honkai, there are also new players, and some only play Star Rail.
I can't possibly satisfy everyone's tastes. No matter what I write, there will always be people who don't like it.
Also, Stelle being overly cringe, characters being OOC, and the poor writing—this is my fault, I admit it. It's because I watched too many abstract fan creations for material; it's my problem and has nothing to do with the original work!
I never delete comments. I generally read the comments on the latest few chapters. After all, this is my first book. Even though it's just a simple reaction fic, I still want to write it well.
It's not like I'm some fragile person, anyway.
The origin of this book was an accident; it was a spur-of-the-moment idea from chatting with group friends. I originally planned to write another book.
But since I wanted to write it, I started during summer vacation. Over 45 days of summer vacation, I wrote ten chapters and posted them on the first day of school. Because people were urging for updates and someone was reading, I persevered.
And somehow, I've persisted until now, writing over a hundred chapters. It's really unbelievable.
Next, my focus will shift to two fan creations, and then I'll write some Star Rail stuff to balance it out.
To meet the minimum word count for release, let me talk about what I originally planned to write!
["Dragon Raja: Lu Mingfei Returning from Honkai Impact 3rd"](fic idea)
Worldview: Because Dragon Raja only has elements on Earth, Earth is a World Bubble in the Sea of Quanta; the others are just background textures.
The authority of the Dragon Kings, the Seven Thrones, are all related to the [Ether Anchor](term).
Protagonist: Still our good old Lu Mingfei. This time, he went to the Previous Era of the Honkai world. Only life-and-death struggles can change his trash personality.
Also, because he gained a sense of presence and respect and found comrades-in-arms in the Previous Era, his sense of belonging to his hometown Earth is very low—after all, no one respected him there anyway.
Main Plot: Lu Mingfei, who died in the Final Battle, returns to his own world. But having no sense of belonging to this world, he only wants to return to the [Imaginary Tree](term) (the proper world).
To achieve his goal, Lu Mingfei plans to reconnect this World Bubble to the Imaginary Tree.
[Alchemy](term) is [Imaginary](term) technology. However, due to the differences in perception and comprehension between humans and dragons, humans cannot understand it.
But Lu Mingfei brings the Imaginary/Quantum technology from the proper world. And weren't there many famous scientists still alive in Dragon Raja 2? Aren't they perfect tools for climbing the tech tree? Schemes and intrigues are worthless under the overwhelming advantage of technology!
Romance Line: Having experienced the beauties of the Honkai world and the crisis of civilization's extinction, coupled with his lack of belonging to this world, why would he need a romance line? He just wants to return to the proper world!
He will save绘梨衣 (Yoshizawa Kariya), but only as a little sister. She's too naive, like a child; romance would feel like a sin.
Mid-Story: Who do you think has a greater corrosive effect on consciousness: the erosion of Dragon Blood or the erosion of [Artificial Stigma](term)/[MANTIS](term) transformation?
Result: Finally succeeds in connecting to the Tree, becoming a star system within the Honkai: Star Rail universe. The Astral Express arrives, bringing information about the proper Earth.

On a side note, I am a student. I can't frequently have explosive updates for this novel; generally, it's 4000 words a day, at least to get the full attendance bonus!
